be_v a_o plain_a disparity_n for_o beside_o that_o their_o test_n run_v upon_o doctrinal_a difference_n it_o be_v evident_a that_o those_o who_o adher_v to_o the_o protestant_a religion_n as_o there_o establish_v be_v a_o large_a body_n to_o which_o those_o that_o be_v exclude_v from_o publ●q●●_n service_n bear_v no_o proportion_n and_o conseqent_o there_o be_v no_o great_a danger_n to_o the_o state_n from_o such_o a_o test_n whereas_o here_o the_o papist_n be_v a_o hundred_o to_o ten_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o protestant_n so_o that_o to_o disable_v all_o dissent_v once_o be_v to_o cut_v off_o from_o the_o common_a protestant_a interest_n about_o a_o 3d_o part_n of_o its_o strength_n when_o the_o whole_a be_v rather_o too_o little_a and_o the_o answerer_n h●s_v as_o yet_o give_v as_o no_o other_o reason_n for_o do_v so_o but_o his_o own_o groundless_a fear_n of_o a_o danger_n which_o as_o i_o have_v show_v he_o if_o it_o more_o real_a as_o it_o be_v not_o they_o or_o their_o tenant_n cheerful_o rise_v with_o those_o on_o who_o they_o have_v no_o dependence_n and_o in_o who_o they_o can_v as_o little_a trust_n or_o can_v he_o think_v that_o such_o gentleman_n will_v cheerful_o raise_v and_o command_v force_n in_o such_o a_o exigency_n when_o instead_o of_o any_o prospect_n of_o have_v their_o service_n consider_v or_o reward_v they_o must_v rather_o expect_v to_o pay_v 500_o l._n for_o their_o presumption_n what_o encouragement_n be_v this_o to_o induce_v man_n to_o venture_v their_o life_n and_o fortune_n to_o save_v their_o country_n when_o they_o be_v in_o hazard_n of_o be_v punish_v for_o endeavour_v it_o nay_o who_o do_v he_o think_v will_v be_v tempt_v to_o stay_v in_o a_o country_n where_o his_o danger_n from_o a_o common_a enemy_n ●s_v so_o great_a and_o where_o he_o be_v put_v under_o such_o a_o disability_n of_o do_v any_o thing_n considerable_a to_o prevent_v it_o three_o for_o the_o argument_n draw_v from_o the_o parliament_n of_o england_n the_o author_n urge_v it_o no_o far_o than_o as_o a_o probable_a presumption_n that_o they_o think_v no_o other_o te●●_n needful_a to_o qualify_v man_n for_o employment_n in_o this_o kingdom_n than_o they_o there_o enjoin_v and_o if_o they_o have_v think_v the_o sacrament_n test_n needful_a here_o they_o can_v easy_o have_v add_v it_o as_o they_o have_v the_o test_n against_o popery_n mention_v in_o the_o same_o act._n for_o they_o be_v not_o ignorant_a that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o force_n here_o and_o against_o this_o there_o be_v nothing_o to_o the_o purpose_n in_o the_o answerer_n reply_v four_o for_o the_o author_n argument_n to_o prove_v the_o test_n unreasonable_a viz._n that_o it_o will_v put_v the_o protestant_a dissenter_n into_o worse_a circumstance_n than_o they_o be_v at_o present_a the_o answerer_n seem_v to_o grant_v it_o but_o suggest_v on_o the_o other_o hand_n that_o a_o toleration_n without_o such_o a_o test_n will_v put_v the_o member_n of_o the_o establish_v church_n into_o worse_a circumstance_n than_o they_o be_v in_o at_o present_a therefore_o since_o the_o conformist_n appear_v as_o early_o and_o with_o equal_a zeal_n for_o this_o government_n as_o the_o dissenter_n the_o former_a he_o think_v will_v have_v reason_n to_o think_v themselves_o severe_o deal_v with_o if_o no_o other_o way_n can_v be_v find_v they_o now_o desire_n shall_v put_v the_o establish_v church_n into_o
