or_o to_o confirm_v the_o election_n of_o any_o archbishop_n bishop_n or_o other_o person_n or_o person_n to_o any_o spiritual_a or_o ecclesiastical_a function_n dignity_n promotion_n title_n office_n jurisdiction_n place_n or_o benefice_n with_o cure_n or_o without_o cure_n or_o to_o any_o ecclesiastical_a live_n whatsoever_o shall_v before_o every_o such_o admission_n institution_n collation_n of_o tithe_n collative_a the_o bishop_n shall_v unite_v they_o perpetual_o and_o those_o union_n the_o dean_n and_o chapter_n shall_v be_v bind_v to_o confirm_v to_o remain_v perpetual_o as_o one_o entire_a benefice_n and_o that_o no_o dispensation_n be_v grant_v to_o hold_v more_o than_o one_o benefice_n of_o great_a value_n than_o forty_o pound_n english_a per_fw-la annum_fw-la but_o to_o such_o only_a as_o shall_v be_v very_o well_o able_a and_o sufficient_a to_o discharge_v his_o duty_n have_v take_v the_o degree_n of_o a_o master_n of_o art_n at_o least_o in_o some_o university_n within_o his_o majesty_n dominion_n and_o be_v a_o public_a and_o sufficient_a preacher_n licence_v provide_v that_o he_o who_o be_v qualify_v as_o aforesaid_a shall_v always_o reside_v in_o one_o of_o his_o benefice_n and_o some_o reasonable_a time_n of_o every_o year_n in_o each_o of_o they_o and_o last_o that_o he_o have_v under_o he_o where_o he_o do_v not_o reside_v a_o curate_n able_a to_o catechise_v and_o instruct_v the_o people_n to_o have_v such_o maintenance_n as_o to_o the_o ordinary_n shall_v seem_v fit_a xxxvii_o absence_n of_o benefice_a man_n and_o live_n appropriate_v to_o be_v supply_v by_o curate_n that_o be_v allow_v preacher_n every_o benefice_a man_n licence_v by_o the_o law_n of_o this_o realm_n upon_o urgent_a occasion_n of_o other_o service_n not_o to_o reside_v upon_o his_o benefice_n shall_v cause_v his_o cure_n to_o be_v supply_v by_o a_o curate_n that_o be_v a_o sufficient_a and_o licence_v preacher_n if_o the_o worth_n of_o the_o benefice_n will_v bear_v it_o but_o whosoever_o have_v two_o benefice_n shall_v maintain_v a_o preacher_n licence_v in_o the_o benefice_n where_o he_o do_v not_o reside_v except_o he_o preach_v himself_o at_o both_o of_o they_o usual_o also_o every_o benefice_a man_n not_o allow_v to_o be_v a_o preacher_n shall_v procure_v sermon_n to_o be_v preach_v in_o his_o cure_n once_o every_o month_n at_o the_o least_o by_o preacher_n lawful_o licence_v if_o his_o live_n in_o the_o judgement_n of_o the_o ordinary_n will_v be_v able_a to_o bear_v it_o and_o upon_o every_o sunday_n when_o there_o shall_v not_o be_v a_o sermon_n preach_v in_o his_o cure_n he_o or_o his_o curate_n shall_v read_v one_o of_o the_o homily_n prescribe_v by_o authority_n to_o the_o intent_n aforesaid_a and_o as_o for_o those_o church_n where_o all_o the_o tithe_n both_o great_a &_o small_a be_v take_v by_o the_o appropriator_n we_o ordain_v that_o the_o bishop_n of_o the_o diocese_n according_a to_o the_o law_n of_o the_o church_n shall_v allot_v out_o of_o the_o say_a appropriation_n such_o maintenance_n to_o a_o sufficient_a curate_n as_o in_o equity_n in_o his_o discretion_n shall_v seem_v meet_a and_o competent_a xxxviii_o none_o to_o be_v curate_n but_o allow_v by_o the_o bishop_n no_o curate_n or_o minister_n shall_v be_v permit_v to_o serve_v in_o any_o place_n without_o examination_n &_o trial_n first_o to_o be_v make_v of_o his_o sufficiency_n sobriety_n and_o fitness_n every_o way_n for_o the_o ministration_n whereunto_o he_o be_v to_o be_v depute_v have_v respect_n to_o greatness_n of_o the_o cure_n and_o meetenesse_n of_o the_o party_n and_o be_v find_v worthy_a he_o shall_v be_v admit_v by_o the_o bishop_n of_o the_o diocese_n in_o write_v under_o his_o hand_n and_o seal_n and_o the_o say_a curate_n and_o minister_n if_o they_o remove_v from_o one_o diocese_n to_o another_o shall_v not_o be_v by_o any_o mean_v admit_v to_o serve_v without_o testimony_n of_o the_o bishop_n of_o the_o diocese_n or_o ordinary_a of_o the_o place_n as_o aforesaid_a whence_o they_o come_v in_o write_v of_o their_o honesty_n ability_n and_o conformity_n to_o the_o ecclesiastical_a law_n of_o the_o church_n of_o ireland_n nor_o any_o shall_v serve_v more_o than_o two_o church_n or_o chapel_n in_o one_o day_n and_o those_o to_o be_v in_o a_o convenient_a distance_n and_o unless_o the_o say_a church_n or_o chapel_n where_o such_o a_o minister_n shall_v serve_v in_o two_o place_n be_v not_o able_a in_o the_o judgement_n of_o the_o bishop_n or_o ordinary_a as_o aforesaid_a to_o maintain_v a_o curate_n provide_v that_o no_o clergy_n man_n hold_v any_o benefice_n in_o title_n shall_v by_o this_o constitution_n be_v debar_v from_o nominate_v a_o able_a curate_n to_o such_o benefice_n so_o often_o as_o the_o say_a cure_n shall_v be_v void_a to_o be_v examine_v and_o admit_v by_o the_o bishop_n as_o aforesaid_a thirty-nine_o stranger_n not_o admit_v to_o preach_v without_o licence_n neither_o the_o minister_n churchwarden_n or_o other_o officer_n of_o any_o parochial_a or_o collegiate_n church_n shall_v suffer_v any_o stranger_n to_o preach_v unto_o the_o people_n in_o their_o church_n except_o they_o know_v he_o to_o be_v sufficient_o authorise_v thereto_o as_o be_v
