out_o the_o bill_n as_o a_o abominable_a thing_n and_o all_o the_o loyal_a gentry_n have_v public_o protest_v against_o and_o declare_v their_o abhorrence_n of_o it_o and_o indeed_o all_o of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n that_o i_o converse_v with_o though_o they_o hearty_o abhor_v and_o pray_v against_o popery_n do_v free_o own_o their_o great_a dislike_n and_o hatred_n of_o it_o which_o satisfy_v i_o that_o it_o be_v not_o my_o singular_a opinion_n that_o it_o be_v unjust_a but_o that_o i_o have_v therein_o the_o suffrage_n and_o consent_n of_o all_o good_a man_n the_o reason_n too_o that_o move_v i_o to_o it_o be_v weighty_a which_o be_v these_o to_o vindicate_v the_o justice_n of_o my_o sovereign_n by_o show_v he_o have_v the_o high_a reason_n to_o reject_v this_o bill_n and_o consequent_o to_o stop_v the_o mouth_n of_o those_o that_o be_v so_o profane_a as_o to_o blame_v his_o sacred_a majesty_n for_o refuse_v it_o to_o assert_v and_o defend_v the_o right_n of_o a_o injure_v prince_n to_o show_v they_o that_o be_v so_o unjust_a and_o unchristian_a as_o to_o treat_v he_o so_o despiteful_o and_o to_o offer_v he_o such_o hard_a measure_n the_o evil_a of_o their_o do_n that_o they_o may_v repent_v and_o humble_o beg_v pardon_n both_o of_o god_n and_o he_o to_o do_v honour_n to_o the_o church_n of_o england_n both_o by_o protest_v in_o its_o name_n against_o this_o project_n and_o by_o prove_v it_o teach_v the_o right_a way_n to_o heaven_n which_o will_v certain_o lead_v all_o that_o follow_v it_o to_o the_o immortal_a joy_n and_o felicity_n of_o that_o bless_a place_n to_o reprove_v the_o folly_n &_o wickedness_n of_o those_o fugitive_n that_o run_v from_o the_o communion_n of_o it_o either_o into_o popery_n or_o fanaticism_n to_o caution_n or_o warn_v all_o that_o love_v the_o establsh_v religion_n not_o only_o to_o have_v no_o hand_n in_o but_o to_o abhor_v and_o oppose_v the_o bill_n of_o exclusion_n as_o that_o which_o will_v be_v a_o indelible_a stain_n or_o blemish_n to_o it_o make_v it_o if_o it_o shall_v expire_v at_o any_o time_n go_v out_o in_o a_o snuff_n leave_v a_o ill_a savour_n behind_o it_o and_o hinder_v its_o happy_a resurrection_n to_o allay_v the_o heat_n and_o calm_v the_o passion_n it_o have_v put_v man_n into_o and_o to_o let_v they_o see_v if_o they_o please_v to_o open_v their_o eye_n what_o a_o evil_a and_o wicked_a thing_n it_o be_v they_o admire_v so_o much_o and_o therefore_o unworthy_a of_o the_o value_n they_o put_v upon_o it_o these_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o move_v i_o to_o undertake_v this_o subject_a and_o be_v sufficient_a in_o my_o apprehension_n to_o justify_v the_o do_n of_o it_o so_o that_o if_o any_o blame_v i_o for_o it_o i_o shall_v answer_v they_o in_o the_o word_n of_o david_n to_o his_o peevish_a brethren_n what_o have_v i_o now_o do_v be_v there_o not_o a_o cause_n wherein_o have_v i_o transgress_v or_o offend_v what_o have_v i_o do_v unbecoming_a a_o christian_n or_o a_o protestant_n in_o write_v upon_o this_o subject_a have_v i_o not_o great_a cause_n just_a and_o cogent_a reason_n for_o it_o but_o i_o hope_v i_o have_v give_v no_o offence_n thereby_o to_o any_o honest_a man_n i_o be_o sure_a i_o do_v not_o intend_v it_o and_o as_o for_o the_o censure_n of_o all_o that_o be_v otherwise_o i_o scorn_v and_o think_v they_o below_o my_o notice_n or_o observation_n let_v they_o censure_v i_o as_o they_o please_v i_o shall_v never_o trouble_v myself_o about_o they_o all_o that_o can_v require_v a_o apology_n be_v that_o which_o i_o be_o very_o apprehensive_a of_o that_o i_o have_v wrong_v this_o great_a argument_n by_o my_o low_a and_o unskilful_a manage_n of_o it_o i_o wish_v with_o all_o my_o heart_n i_o can_v have_v do_v it_o better_o it_o be_v in_o my_o apprehension_n a_o case_n of_o very_o great_a moment_n and_o concern_v though_o i_o must_v say_v it_o be_v my_o endeavour_n to_o speak_v reason_n in_o the_o case_n and_o i_o hope_v what_o i_o have_v do_v will_v find_v acceptance_n with_o all_o good_a man_n and_o conduce_v to_o the_o great_a end_n i_o design_v it_o for_o and_o see_v we_o all_o call_v ourselves_o christ_n servant_n and_o disciple_n i_o think_v it_o the_o fair_a and_o most_o equal_a way_n to_o compare_v this_o so_o much_o admire_v expedient_a with_o some_o of_o the_o prime_a law_n of_o christianity_n by_o which_o we_o shall_v all_o be_v judge_v at_o the_o last_o day_n and_o have_v make_v it_o appear_v i_o think_v to_o be_v a_o open_a defiance_n and_o contradiction_n to_o they_o and_o therefore_o not_o to_o be_v do_v by_o a_o nation_n profess_v his_o most_o just_a and_o merciful_a religion_n which_o command_v we_o to_o do_v good_a to_o all_o man_n and_o injury_n to_o none_o that_o which_o may_v be_v think_v by_o some_o a_o great_a omission_n be_v that_o i_o have_v not_o consider_v that_o which_o be_v allege_v in_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o bill_n as_o the_o prime_a reason_n of_o their_o resolve_v to_o exclude_v his_o royal_a highness_n that_o by_o his_o turn_n papist_n great_a encouragement_n have_v be_v give_v to_o the_o popish_a party_n to_o conspire_v the_o destruction_n of_o the_o king_n and_o government_n and_o the_o extirpation_n of_o the_o true_a protestant_a religion_n this_o indeed_o i_o say_v nothing_o to_o not_o because_o it_o be_v unanswerable_a but_o in_o truth_n because_o i_o think_v it_o deserve_v no_o answer_n for_o unless_o they_o can_v prove_v he_o turn_v papist_n with_o that_o intention_n their_o take_a encouragement_n from_o it_o to_o conspire_v against_o the_o king_n do_v not_o involve_v the_o duke_n in_o their_o guilt_n nor_o make_v he_o just_o punishable_a because_o wicked_a and_o traitorous_a people_n be_v glad_a of_o any_o occasion_n to_o do_v mischief_n and_o encourage_v themselves_o to_o attempt_v it_o when_o no_o motive_n or_o inducement_n be_v offer_v they_o and_o it_o be_v most_o unreasonable_a as_o well_o as_o uncharitable_a to_o believe_v he_o have_v any_o such_o intention_n unreasonable_a because_o no_o prince_n will_v be_v a_o proselyte_n to_o that_o which_o he_o believe_v to_o be_v a_o traitorous_a church_n this_o be_v to_o put_v himself_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o his_o enemy_n and_o to_o run_v wilful_o upon_o his_o own_o destruction_n if_o his_o royal_a highness_n be_v of_o the_o romish_a communion_n which_o i_o do_v not_o believe_v to_o be_v sure_a he_o think_v it_o a_o holy_a and_o a_o loyal_a church_n and_o upon_o that_o persuasion_n join_v himself_o to_o it_o if_o so_o he_o can_v not_o possible_o intend_v to_o encourage_v that_o faction_n to_o attempt_v the_o king_n life_n because_o he_o believe_v they_o honest_a and_o loyal_a people_n that_o hearty_o abhor_v such_o wicked_a and_o cruel_a practice_n but_o if_o he_o be_v deceive_v in_o his_o opinion_n of_o they_o and_o those_o who_o he_o think_v to_o be_v sheep_n be_v wolf_n raven_a and_o bloodthirsty_a people_n and_o those_o who_o he_o take_v to_o be_v saint_n be_v real_o devil_n this_o be_v their_o crime_n not_o he_o and_o therefore_o he_o be_v not_o answerable_a for_o it_o and_o to_o punish_v he_o with_o the_o severity_n the_o excluder_n design_v upon_o this_o supposal_n be_v the_o most_o execrable_a injustice_n because_o it_o be_v to_o punish_v he_o for_o other_o man_n crime_n to_o deprive_v he_o of_o his_o birthright_n because_o the_o zealot_n of_o the_o church_n he_o be_v of_o be_v though_o he_o neither_o know_v nor_o believe_v they_o so_o to_o be_v traitorous_a and_o cruel_a this_o will_v appear_v more_o plain_o and_o convince_o to_o some_o if_o we_o put_v the_o case_n thus_o suppose_v the_o next_o heir_n to_o the_o crown_n think_v they_o to_o be_v the_o best_a and_o pure_a religion_n and_o such_o as_o will_v conduct_v he_o most_o safe_o to_o eternal_a glory_n and_o happiness_n shall_v turn_v fanatic_a and_o that_o faction_n encourage_v by_o his_o be_v their_o proselyte_n shall_v conspire_v the_o death_n of_o the_o king_n and_o the_o destruction_n of_o the_o church_n
