safety_n and_o peace_n of_o the_o kingdom_n will_v in_o all_o probability_n law_n be_v much_o more_o endanger_v by_o the_o put_n or_o attempt_v to_o put_v such_o a_o law_n in_o execution_n than_o it_o be_v yet_o or_o i_o hope_v ever_o will_v be_v for_o want_v of_o such_o a_o law_n the_o present_a execution_n whereof_o will_v for_o fear_n of_o but_o a_o suppose_a uncertain_a future_a evil_n which_o many_o thing_n we_o do_v see_v and_o many_o more_o we_o do_v not_o see_v may_v hinder_v put_v we_o into_o a_o real_a a_o certain_a and_o a_o present_a as_o evil_a a_o condition_n as_o any_o we_o seem_v to_o be_v afraid_a of_o and_o desirous_a to_o prevent_v i_o mean_v a_o present_a civil_a war_n and_o perhaps_o a_o foreign_a war_n too_o and_o then_o dic_fw-la mihi_fw-la quis_fw-la furor_fw-la est_fw-la ne_fw-la moriare_fw-la mori_fw-la tell_v i_o what_o madness_n be_v it_o to_o kill_v one_o self_n for_o fear_n of_o be_v kill_v i_o say_v what_o a_o madness_n be_v it_o to_o run_v into_o a_o present_a great_a evil_a to_o prevent_v a_o less_o that_o be_v to_o come_v and_o probable_o may_v not_o come_v at_o all_o chap._n vii_o suppose_v such_o a_o law_n it_o will_v not_o be_v effectual_a for_o the_o keep_n out_o of_o popery_n and_o arbitrary_a government_n to_o conclude_v suppose_v such_o a_o law_n shall_v be_v just_o make_v and_o just_o execute_v upon_o the_o preset_v heir_n of_o the_o crown_n and_o suppose_v too_o that_o inconvenience_n from_o abroad_o and_o at_o home_n shall_v not_o follow_v upon_o it_o for_o the_o present_a how_o will_v this_o secure_v we_o from_o the_o bring_n in_o of_o popery_n for_o the_o future_a unless_o the_o act_n or_o law_n shall_v be_v make_v to_o extend_v to_o the_o exclude_v all_o future_a heir_n of_o the_o crown_n as_o well_o as_o the_o present_a that_o may_v be_v suspect_v heir_n to_o be_v papist_n though_o not_o legal_o prove_v to_o be_v so_o will_v it_o not_o be_v easy_a for_o any_o future_a heir_n of_o the_o crown_n to_o defeat_v the_o efficacy_n of_o it_o and_o to_o avoid_v the_o execution_n of_o it_o upon_o himself_o by_o conceal_v his_o be_v of_o that_o religion_n till_o he_o be_v king_n and_o then_o it_o be_v a_o know_a maxim_n of_o our_o law_n that_o the_o crown_n take_v away_o all_o defect_n in_o he_o i_o suppose_v it_o mean_v that_o be_v the_o rightful_a heir_n to_o it_o and_o against_o who_o after_o he_o be_v king_n as_o no_o force_n can_v be_v use_v without_o a_o rebellion_n so_o no_o law_n can_v be_v make_v without_o vsurpution_n the_o one_o be_v the_o take_n of_o his_o sword_n and_o the_o other_o the_o take_n of_o his_o sceptre_n out_o of_o his_o hand_n so_o that_o if_o such_o a_o law_n be_v make_v to_o extend_v to_o the_o exclusion_n of_o all_o future_a heir_n of_o the_o crown_n as_o well_o as_o the_o present_a it_o will_v not_o be_v effectual_a for_o the_o keep_n out_o of_o popery_n and_o much_o less_o for_o the_o keep_n out_o of_o arbitrary_a government_n or_o for_o the_o secure_n of_o the_o protestant_a religion_n unless_o we_o shall_v say_v that_o nothing_o but_o popery_n can_v bring_v in_o arbitrary_a government_n which_o be_v
