enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a gather_v that_o the_o lord_n chancellor_n or_o keeper_n of_o the_o great_a seal_n of_o england_n for_o the_o time_n be_v shall_v and_o may_v at_o all_o time_n hereafter_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o present_a act_n without_o further_a warrant_n make_v and_o direct_v commission_n or_o commission_n under_o the_o great_a seal_n of_o england_n to_o any_o person_n or_o person_n give_v they_o or_o some_o of_o they_o thereby_o authority_n as_o well_o by_o the_o oath_n of_o good_a &_o lawful_a man_n as_o of_o witness_n or_o examination_n of_o party_n or_o by_o any_o other_o lawful_a way_n or_o mean_n whatsoever_o to_o inquire_v what_o sum_n of_o money_n or_o other_o thing_n have_v be_v or_o shall_v be_v collect_v or_o gather_v for_o or_o towards_o the_o erection_n of_o any_o house_n of_o correction_n or_o any_o stock_n or_o other_o thing_n to_o set_v poor_a on_o work_n or_o for_o the_o maintenance_n thereof_o at_o any_o time_n after_o the_o be_v due_o employ_v upon_o the_o say_a house_n of_o correction_n or_o stock_n or_o upon_o other_o like_a use_n have_v in_o such_o other_o like_o use_n respect_v of_o thing_n pass_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n to_o be_v allow_v of_o either_o by_o distress_n &_o sale_n of_o the_o good_n and_o chattel_n of_o such_o person_n as_o they_o shall_v think_v fit_a to_o be_v chargeable_a or_o answerable_a for_o the_o same_o or_o by_o imprisonment_n of_o their_o body_n at_o their_o discretion_n and_o that_o the_o say_v commissioner_n shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n to_o erect_n or_o maintenance_n of_o the_o same_o provide_v always_o nevertheless_o man_n that_o every_o seafaring_a man_n suffer_v shipwreck_n not_o have_v wherewith_o to_o relieve_v himself_o in_o his_o travail_n home_o ward_n but_o have_v a_o testimonial_a under_o the_o hand_n of_o some_o one_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n of_o or_o near_o the_o place_n where_o he_o land_v set_v down_o therein_o his_o passage_n provide_v also_o beg_v that_o this_o statute_n nor_o any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v shall_v extend_v to_o any_o child_n under_o the_o age_n of_o seven_o year_n nor_o to_o any_o such_o glasseman_n as_o shall_v be_v of_o good_a behaviour_n and_o do_v travail_n in_o or_o through_o any_o country_n without_o beg_v have_v licence_n for_o their_o travail_v under_o the_o hand_n and_o seal_n of_o three_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n of_o the_o same_o county_n where_o they_o travail_n whereof_o one_o to_o be_v of_o the_o quorum_fw-la and_o be_v it_o also_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o this_o present_a act_n shall_v be_v proclaim_v in_o the_o next_o quarter_n session_n or_o session_n in_o every_o county_n proclaim_v and_o in_o such_o other_o market_n townes_n or_o place_n as_o by_o the_o more_o part_n of_o the_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n in_o the_o say_a session_n shall_v be_v agree_v and_o appoint_v this_o act_n to_o endure_v to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o first_o session_n of_o the_o next_o parliament_n ¶_o certain_a branch_n of_o the_o statute_n make_v in_o the_o first_o year_n of_o the_o reign_n of_o king_n james_n concern_v rogue_n vagabond_n and_o sturdy_a beggar_n forasmuch_o as_o since_o the_o make_n of_o the_o act_n of_o 39_o eliz._n diverse_a doubt_n and_o question_n have_v be_v move_v and_o grow_v by_o diversity_n of_o opinion_n take_v in_o and_o upon_o the_o letter_n of_o the_o say_a act_n for_o a_o plain_a declaration_n whereof_o be_v it_o declare_v and_o enact_v that_o from_o henceforth_o no_o authority_n to_o be_v give_v or_o make_v by_o any_o baron_n of_o this_o realm_n eliz._n or_o any_o other_o honourable_a personage_n of_o great_a degree_n unto_o any_o other_o person_n or_o person_n shall_v be_v available_a to_o free_v and_o discharge_v the_o say_a person_n or_o any_o of_o they_o from_o the_o pain_n and_o punishment_n in_o the_o say_a statute_n mention_v but_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v
