or_o to_o cause_v the_o same_o to_o be_v export_v transport_v carry_v or_o convey_v out_o of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o england_n and_o ireland_n town_n of_o berwick_n isles_n or_o dominion_n aforesaid_a or_o with_o intent_n or_o purpose_n that_o any_o other_o person_n or_o person_n shall_v so_o export_v transport_v carry_v or_o convey_v the_o same_o into_o any_o part_n or_o place_n out_o of_o the_o ireland_n etc._n etc._n except_o shorling_n yarn_n make_v of_o wool_n woolflock_n or_o any_o fuller_n earth_n or_o full_a clay_n shall_v be_v from_o and_o after_o the_o fourtéenth_fw-mi day_n of_o january_n in_o the_o year_n of_o our_o lord_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o and_o threescore_o export_v transport_v carry_v or_o convey_v out_o of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o england_n and_o dominion_n full_a clay_n so_o export_v transport_v carry_v convey_v pack_v or_o load_v contrary_a to_o the_o
true_a intent_n of_o this_o act_n shall_v be_v forfeit_v and_o that_o every_o offender_n and_o offender_n therein_o shall_v forfeit_v twenty_o shilling_n for_o every_o such_o sheep_n and_o three_o shilling_n for_o every_o pound_n weight_n of_o such_o wool_n woolfell_n mortlings_o shorling_n yarn_n make_v of_o wool_n woollflock_n fuller_n earth_n or_o full_a clay_n and_o also_o the_o owner_n of_o the_o say_a ship_n or_o vessel_n know_v such_o offence_n shall_v forfeit_v all_o theiâ—_n interest_n in_o the_o say_a ship_n or_o vessel_n with_o all_o their_o apparel_n and_o furniture_n to_o they_o and_o every_o of_o they_o belong_v and_o that_o the_o master_n and_o mariner_n thereof_o know_v such_o offence_n and_o witting_o and_o willing_o aid_v and_o assist_v thereunto_o shall_v forfeit_v all_o their_o good_n and_o chattel_n and_o have_v imprisonment_n for_o the_o same_o three_o month_n without_o bail_n or_o mainprize_n the_o one_o moiety_n of_o which_o say_v penalty_n and_o forfeiture_n shall_v be_v to_o the_o king_n majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n and_o the_o other_o moiety_n to_o he_o that_o will_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o by_o action_n of_o debt_n bill_n lawful_o convict_v that_o then_o he_o shall_v be_v disable_v to_o require_v any_o debt_n or_o account_n of_o any_o factor_n or_o other_o for_o or_o concern_v any_o debt_n or_o estate_n proper_o belong_v to_o such_o offender_n proviso_n proviso_n provide_v always_o and_o it_o be_v nevertheless_o declare_v that_o this_o act_n or_o any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v shall_v not_o be_v construe_v to_o take_v away_o any_o great_a pain_n or_o penalty_n inflict_v or_o to_o be_v inflict_v for_o any_o the_o offence_n aforesaid_a by_o virtue_n of_o any_o former_a act_n of_o parliament_n now_o in_o this_o act_n or_o else_o in_o the_o county_n where_o such_o offender_n shall_v happen_v to_o be_v apprehend_v or_o arrest_v for_o such_o offence_n in_o such_o manner_n and_o form_n and_o to_o such_o effect_n to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n as_o if_o the_o same_o offence_n have_v be_v whole_o and_o altogether_o do_v and_o commit_v at_o and_o in_o such_o county_n thereof_o they_o to_o be_v prosecute_v within_o a_o year_n after_o the_o offence_n commit_v any_o person_n may_v seize_v good_n contrary_a to_o this_o act_n load_v with_o intent_n to_o be_v transport_v and_o shall_v have_v the_o moiety_n thereof_o provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v at_o any_o time_n hereafter_o be_v or_o other_o vessel_n or_o boat_n or_o to_o be_v bring_v carry_v or_o lay_v on_o shore_n at_o or_o near_o the_o sea_n or_o any_o navigable_a river_n or_o water_n to_o the_o intent_n or_o purpose_n to_o be_v export_v transport_v or_o convey_v out_o of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o england_n or_o ireland_n town_n of_o berwick_n isles_n or_o dominion_n aforesaid_a contrary_a to_o the_o true_a meaning_n person_n shall_v not_o be_v evidence_n against_o the_o offender_n provide_v always_o that_o such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o shall_v make_v any_o such_o seizure_n or_o challenge_v aforesaid_a to_o he_o or_o their_o own_o use_n shall_v not_o be_v admit_v or_o allow_v to_o give_v in_o evidence_n upon_o his_o or_o their_o oath_n or_o oath_n against_o any_o person_n or_o person_n which_o shall_v happen_v to_o be_v indict_v accuse_v or_o question_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n or_o any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v england_n forfeiture_n of_o the_o ship_n if_o the_o owner_n be_v a_o alien_n or_o not_o inhabit_v in_o england_n and_o furthermore_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o and_o every_o ship_n vessel_n hulk_n barge_n or_o boat_n of_o what_o kind_n soever_o whereof_o any_o alien_n bear_v or_o whereof_o any_o natural_a bear_v subject_n not_o inhabit_v within_o the_o realm_n of_o england_n shall_v be_v owner_n or_o partowner_n and_o wherein_o any_o sheep_n wool_n woolfell_n mortlings_o shorling_n yarn_n make_v of_o wool_n woolflock_n fuller_n earth_n or_o full_a clay_n shall_v happen_v to_o be_v ship_v put_v or_o lay_v aboard_o contrary_a to_o the_o true_a meaning_n of_o this_o act_n shall_v be_v forfeit_v to_o the_o king_n majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n provide_v always_o that_o this_o act_n shall_v not_o extend_v to_o any_o lamb_n skin_n ready_a dress_v and_o prepare_v fit_a and_o useful_a for_o furr_n or_o lining_n proviso_n proviso_n provide_v also_o that_o this_o act_n shall_v not_o in_o any_o wise_a extend_v to_o the_o transport_v carry_v or_o convey_v away_o of_o any_o such_o woolfell_n or_o pelt_n with_o such_o wool_n upon_o they_o or_o to_o any_o bed_n stuff_v with_o flock_n which_o shall_v be_v carry_v or_o employ_v in_o any_o ship_n or_o other_o vessel_n for_o necessary_a use_n only_o of_o and_o about_o the_o ordnance_n or_o other_o thing_n in_o or_o concern_v such_o ship_n or_o vessel_n or_o only_o for_o the_o necessary_a use_n of_o any_o the_o person_n in_o such_o ship_n or_o vessel_n pass_v or_o be_v and_o which_o shall_v not_o be_v sell_v or_o utter_v in_o any_o foreign_a part_n out_o of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o england_n or_o ireland_n berwick_n ireland_n berwick_n or_o town_n of_o berwick_n isles_n or_o dominion_n aforesaid_a nor_o to_o the_o export_n transport_v carry_v or_o convey_v of_o any_o wether-shéep_n or_o of_o the_o wool_n grow_v upon_o any_o such_o wether-shéep_n to_o be_v carry_v alive_a in_o any_o ship_n or_o other_o vessel_n for_o and_o towards_o the_o only_a necessary_a food_n or_o diet_n of_o or_o for_o the_o company_n or_o passenger_n or_o other_o person_n therein_o and_o for_o and_o towards_o none_o other_o purpose_n guernsey_n proviso_n southampton_n jersey_n guernsey_n provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v that_o this_o act_n or_o any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v shall_v not_o extend_v to_o any_o such_o wool_n to_o be_v export_v or_o transport_v out_o of_o or_o from_o the_o port_n of_o southampton_n only_o unto_o the_o aforesaid_a isle_n of_o jersey_n and_o guernsey_n by_o or_o for_o the_o only_a use_n or_o behoof_n of_o any_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o
the_o say_a isle_n of_o jersey_n and_o guernsey_n or_o either_o of_o they_o or_o to_o any_o such_o wool_n to_o be_v ship_v or_o load_v aboard_o in_o any_o ship_n or_o other_o vessel_n by_o or_o for_o the_o only_a use_n or_o behoof_n of_o any_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o the_o say_a isle_n of_o jersey_n or_o guernsey_n or_o either_o of_o they_o in_o the_o port_n aforesaid_a to_o be_v export_v and_o transport_v into_o the_o say_a isle_n of_o jersey_n or_o guernsey_n or_o either_o of_o they_o so_o as_o such_o person_n and_o person_n that_o shall_v so_o ship_v or_o lay_v aboard_o such_o wool_n into_o any_o ship_n or_o other_o vessel_n do_v before_o the_o ship_n or_o lay_v aboard_o such_o wool_n deliver_v unto_o the_o customer_n comptroller_n surveyor_n or_o searcher_n of_o the_o port_n of_o southampton_n aforesaid_a out_o of_o which_o the_o same_o wool_n be_v to_o be_v export_v a_o writing_n under_o the_o seal_n or_o seal_n of_o the_o respective_a governor_n of_o the_o same_o isle_n of_o jersey_n and_o guernsey_n unto_o which_o the_o say_a wool_n be_v to_o be_v transport_v or_o of_o his_o or_o their_o deputy_n or_o deputy_n respective_o the_o which_o writing_n shall_v purport_n and_o express_v that_o the_o party_n name_v in_o such_o writing_n be_v authorise_v and_o appoint_v to_o export_n or_o to_o cause_n to_o be_v export_v out_o of_o the_o port_n aforesaid_a so_o much_o wool_n express_v the_o number_n of_o the_o tod_n to_o the_o same_o isle_n to_o be_v use_v or_o manufacture_v in_o one_o of_o the_o same_o isle_n or_o in_o some_o of_o the_o member_n or_o part_n of_o the_o same_o and_o that_o such_o party_n so_o authorise_v and_o appoint_v to_o export_n or_o cause_n to_o be_v export_v that_o wool_n have_v before_o the_o make_n and_o seal_v of_o that_o writing_n enter_v into_o sufficient_a bond_n to_o his_o majesty_n use_n for_o the_o land_n of_o the_o say_a wool_n in_o that_o isle_n and_o to_o the_o intent_n that_o the_o quantity_n of_o wool_n to_o be_v export_v jersey_n two_o thousand_o tod_n and_o no_o more_o of_o unkeamed_a wool_n and_o unto_o guernsey_n sarke_n alderney_n sarke_n one_o thousand_o tod_n and_o no_o more_o of_o unkeamed_a wool_n and_o unto_o alderney_n two_o hundred_o tod_n and_o no_o more_o of_o unkeamed_a wool_n and_o unto_o sarke_n one_o hundred_o tod_n of_o unkeamed_a wool_n and_o no_o more_o every_o tod_n not_o exceed_a thirty_o two_o pound_n and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o governor_n of_o the_o say_a isle_n of_o jersey_n or_o his_o deputy_n for_o who_o he_o will_v answer_v shall_v not_o make_v to_o any_o person_n or_o person_n any_o writing_n or_o write_n such_o as_o be_v above_o specify_v to_o authorise_v or_o appoint_v such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o aforesaid_a to_o of_o guernsey_n with_o alderney_n and_o sarke_n in_o any_o one_o year_n account_v the_o year_n from_o the_o first_o day_n of_o january_n aforesaid_a any_o great_a quantity_n of_o wool_n than_o one_o thousand_o tod_n for_o guernsey_n two_o hundred_o tod_n for_o alderney_n and_o one_o hundred_o tod_n for_o sarke_n in_o any_o one_o year_n and_o that_o the_o customer_n of_o the_o port_n of_o southampton_n aforesaid_a shall_v keep_v a_o true_a account_n of_o all_o the_o say_a quantity_n of_o wool_n so_o by_o he_o permit_v to_o be_v load_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n and_o shall_v not_o permit_v any_o great_a quantity_n of_o wool_n to_o be_v load_v then_o by_o this_o act_n be_v prescribe_v in_o any_o one_o year_n to_o either_o of_o the_o say_a island_n respective_o under_o any_o pretence_n whatsoever_o upon_o the_o penalty_n of_o the_o forfeiture_n of_o his_o place_n and_o the_o sum_n of_o one_o hundred_o pound_n in_o money_n one_o moiety_n whereof_o to_o the_o king_n majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n and_o the_o other_o moiety_n to_o he_o or_o they_o that_o will_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o in_o any_o court_n of_o record_n wherein_o no_o essoign_n protection_n or_o wager_n of_o law_n shall_v be_v allow_v and_o if_o any_o of_o the_o governor_n aforesaid_a or_o any_o of_o their_o or_o either_o of_o their_o deputy_n or_o deputy_n of_o the_o say_a governor_n of_o such_o of_o the_o say_a isle_n shall_v forfeit_v and_o pay_v to_o king_n majesty_n his_o heir_n or_o successor_n the_o sum_n of_o twenty_o pound_n of_o lawful_a money_n of_o england_n for_o every_o tod_n of_o wool_n which_o shall_v be_v so_o license_v to_o be_v export_v over_o and_o above_o the_o rate_n or_o porportion_n of_o wool_n in_o and_o by_o this_o act_n or_o the_o true_a meaning_n thereof_o limit_v or_o appoint_v and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o respective_a governor_n aforesaid_a or_o their_o respective_a deputy_n or_o any_o their_o clerk_n officer_n or_o servant_n for_o the_o grant_n make_v or_o seal_v of_o every_o such_o write_n of_o licence_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a and_o for_o the_o enter_v a_o remembrance_n of_o the_o same_o into_o some_o book_n which_o they_o shall_v have_v and_o keep_v for_o that_o purpose_n may_v have_v and_o take_v the_o sum_n of_o twelve_o penny_n and_o no_o more_o upon_o pain_n of_o forfeit_v to_o the_o party_n grieve_v the_o sum_n of_o five_o shilling_n for_o every_o penny_n which_o shall_v be_v take_v over_o and_o above_o the_o say_a sum_n of_o twelve_o penny_n in_o and_o by_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o sixty_o and_o four_o no_o fresh_a herring_n fresh_n can_v or_o haddock_n coal-fish_n or_o gull-fish_n shall_v be_v import_v into_o england_n wales_n or_o the_o town_n of_o berwick_n but_o in_o english-built_a ship_n or_o vessel_n or_o in_o ship_n or_o vessel_n bona_fw-la fide_fw-la belong_v to_o england_n wales_n or_o the_o town_n of_o berwick_n and_o have_v such_o
