clause_n deny_v any_o foreign_a prince_n person_n prelate_n or_o potentate_n to_o have_v any_o jurisdiction_n power_n superiority_n or_o authority_n ecclesiastical_a or_o spiritual_a within_o this_o take_v do_v thereby_o acknowledge_v the_o king_n to_o be_v the_o only_a supreme_a governor_n of_o this_o realm_n but_o the_o parliament_n by_o enjoin_v the_o oath_n to_o be_v take_v and_o those_o bring_v in_o without_o popery_n and_o the_o protestà nt_a religion_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n be_v not_o only_o suppress_v and_o persecute_v but_o endeavour_v to_o be_v quite_o extirpated_a present_a legal_a constitution_n of_o it_o both_z as_o to_o doctrine_n government_n and_o government_n be_v the_o best_a fence_v of_o any_o church_n in_o the_o world_n not_o only_o against_o popery_n but_o all_o other_o heresy_n and_o schism_n some_o of_o they_o as_o bad_a if_o not_o worse_o both_o in_o their_o speculative_a and_o practical_a opinion_n than_o popery_n itself_o be_v so_o the_o legal_a constitution_n of_o our_o civil_a government_n also_o be_v i_o very_o believe_v the_o best_a government_n now_o extant_a in_o the_o world_n or_o perhaps_o ever_o be_v or_o can_v be_v for_o the_o keep_n out_o of_o tyranny_n or_o arbitrary_a government_n of_o what_o disposition_n or_o religion_n soever_o the_o prince_n or_o governor_n in_o chief_a for_o the_o time_n shall_v happen_v to_o be_v of_o so_o the_o legal_a establish_a constitution_n of_o the_o government_n be_v not_o alter_v chap._n viii_o the_o scotch_a test_n a_o assurance_n that_o there_o can_v no_o change_n be_v in_o here_o in_o england_n as_o be_v late_o make_v in_o scotland_n viz._n that_o for_o the_o future_a no_o man_n shall_v be_v capable_a of_o any_o government_n place_n power_n trust_v or_o profit_n desire_v and_o purchase_v the_o pape_n absolution_n for_o revolt_a from_o it_o so_o that_o it_o be_v very_o easy_a for_o queen_n mary_n to_o make_v that_o alteration_n which_o she_o do_v by_o repeal_n
