our_o parliament_n against_o who_o act_n they_o have_v so_o express_o declare_v themselves_o will_v protest_v against_o this_o address_n and_o declare_v it_o to_o be_v a_o invasion_n of_o our_o freedom_n and_o such_o a_o interposition_n in_o our_o affair_n as_o be_v inconsistent_a with_o the_o sovereignty_n and_o independency_n of_o scotland_n we_o have_v already_o take_v notice_n that_o this_o address_n be_v the_o procurement_n of_o the_o court_n which_o show_v how_o fraudulent_o the_o pernicious_a counsellor_n have_v all_o along_o act_v with_o we_o and_o what_o our_o nation_n be_v to_o expect_v so_o long_o as_o we_o be_v govern_v by_o such_o advice_n but_o to_o come_v to_o the_o address_n itself_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o the_o natural_a tendency_n of_o it_o be_v to_o render_v our_o kingdom_n subject_a to_o that_o of_o england_n and_o a_o plain_a declaration_n against_o our_o settlement_n at_o darien_n or_o any_o place_n in_o the_o west-indies_a it_o be_v also_o plain_a from_o this_o address_n that_o they_o present_v it_o on_o purpose_n to_o defeat_v the_o hope_n that_o we_o may_v still_o entertain_v of_o recover_v our_o loss_n by_o further_a engage_v in_o that_o design_n and_o that_o they_o have_v take_v upon_o themselves_o the_o loss_n of_o the_o blood_n and_o treasure_n which_o we_o have_v sustain_v in_o the_o west-indies_n by_o declare_v that_o his_o majesty_n pleasure_n signify_v to_o the_o governor_n of_o the_o plantation_n in_o relation_n to_o our_o settlement_n at_o darien_n be_v agreeable_a to_o the_o address_n of_o both_o house_n of_o majesty_n answer_n his_o majesty_n most_o gracious_a answer_n to_o the_o address_n be_v to_o this_o effect_n viz._n his_o majesty_n have_v receive_v a_o very_a dutiful_a address_n from_o the_o house_n of_o peer_n in_o relation_n to_o the_o endeavour_n late_o use_v by_o some_o of_o his_o majesty_n subject_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o scotland_n towards_o make_v a_o settlement_n at_o darien_n in_o which_o they_o humble_o represent_v to_o he_o their_o opinion_n that_o such_o a_o settlement_n be_v inconsistent_a with_o the_o good_a of_o the_o plantation-trade_n of_o this_o kingdom_n be_v please_v
