church_n of_o england_n there_o be_v two_o declaration_n impose_v upon_o several_a person_n and_o in_o such_o manner_n as_o be_v there_o specify_v be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o person_n that_o hereafter_o shall_v be_v present_v or_o collate_v or_o put_v into_o any_o ecclesiastical_a benefice_n or_o promotion_n shall_v declare_v his_o unfeigned_a assent_n and_o consent_v to_o the_o use_n of_o all_o thing_n contain_v and_o prescribe_v in_o the_o book_n of_o common-prayer_n nor_o make_v and_o subscribe_v the_o other_o declaration_n or_o acknowledgement_n viz._n i_o a._n b._n do_v declare_v that_o it_o be_v not_o lawful_a to_o take_v up_o arm_n against_o the_o king_n etc._n etc._n according_o to_o the_o form_n in_o the_o say_a act_n statute_n or_o custom_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o from_o henceforth_o no_o person_n whatsoever_o wear_v a_o surplice_n during_o the_o time_n of_o read_v common_a prayer_n or_o preach_v or_o perform_v any_o religious_a worship_n in_o any_o church_n or_o chapel_n whatsoever_o except_o only_o in_o the_o chapel_n of_o the_o king_n majesty_n and_o all_o cathedral_n church_n of_o this_o realm_n of_o england_n and_o dominion_n of_o wales_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o from_o henceforth_o no_o minister_n or_o other_o ecclesiastieal_a person_n shall_v be_v oblige_v or_o compel_v to_o use_v the_o sign_n of_o the_o cross_n in_o baptism_n or_o any_o parent_n oblige_v to_o have_v his_o child_n christen_v by_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o parish_n if_o the_o say_a minister_n will_v not_o use_v or_o omit_v the_o sign_n of_o the_o cross_n according_a to_o the_o desire_n of_o the_o parent_n who_o in_o that_o case_n may_v procure_v some_o other_o minister_n to_o do_v it_o nor_o shall_v the_o child_n of_o any_o person_n be_v refuse_v baptism_n for_o want_v of_o godfather_n and_o godmother_n so_o long_o as_o the_o parent_n be_v present_a to_o fill_v their_o place_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o minister_n or_o ecclesiastical_a person_n that_o shall_v officiate_v in_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n shall_v refuse_v it_o to_o any_o person_n that_o desire_v to_o be_v admit_v to_o the_o same_o although_o such_o person_n shall_v not_o use_v the_o gesture_n of_o kneel_v in_o the_o act_n of_o receive_v nor_o come_v up_o to_o the_o communion_n table_n but_o shall_v go_v to_o such_o convenient_a place_n in_o the_o church_n where_o such_o person_n be_v and_o there_o give_v it_o he_o in_o some_o other_o decent_a gesture_n of_o ordinary_a use_n in_o the_o reform_a church_n nor_o shall_v any_o minister_n be_v trouble_v for_o the_o withhold_v his_o own_o act_n in_o delivery_n of_o the_o sacrament_n from_o any_o who_o he_o judge_n notorious_o unworthy_a or_o unfit_a for_o it_o nor_o for_o suspend_v his_o read_v the_o sentence_n of_o excommunication_n against_o any_o of_o his_o parish_n until_o he_o be_v satisfy_v in_o the_o case_n that_o his_o crime_n deserve_v it_o and_o to_o the_o intent_n that_o uniformity_n may_v so_o far_o as_o it_o be_v needful_a and_o so_o far_o as_o it_o can_v be_v still_o maintain_v be_v it_o enact_v moreover_o by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o every_o parson_n vicar_n and_o lecturer_n shall_v conform_v to_o the_o liturgy_n of_o the_o church_n in_o the_o ordinary_a lordsday_n service_n read_v the_o same_o by_o himself_o or_o by_o his_o curate_n as_o by_o law_n it_o be_v establish_v reserve_v a_o necessary_a and_o just_a liberty_n for_o his_o conscience_n in_o any_o matter_n or_o word_n which_o himself_o esteem_v unlawful_a and_o so_o to_o he_o it_o be_v sin_n in_o the_o by-office_n occasional_a service_n the_o rubric_n and_o otherwise_o and_o also_o for_o prudence_n in_o
