communion_n i_o speak_v of_o such_o thing_n which_o must_v be_v own_v as_o necessary_a article_n of_o faith_n and_o not_o of_o any_o other_o agreement_n for_o the_o church_n peace_n i_o deny_v not_o therefore_o but_o that_o in_o case_n of_o great_a division_n in_o the_o christian_a world_n and_o any_o national_a church_n reform_v itself_o that_o church_n may_v declare_v its_o sense_n of_o those_o abuse_n in_o article_n of_o religion_n and_o require_v of_o man_n a_o subscription_n to_o they_o but_o then_o we_o be_v to_o consider_v that_o there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o difference_n between_o the_o own_n some_o proposition_n in_o order_n to_o peace_n and_o the_o believe_v of_o they_o as_o necessary_a article_n of_o faith_n and_o this_o be_v clear_o the_o state_n of_o the_o difference_n between_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n and_o the_o church_n of_o england_n the_o church_n of_o rome_n impose_v new_a article_n of_o faith_n to_o be_v believe_v as_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n as_o appear_v by_o the_o former_o cite_a bull_n of_o pius_n 4._o which_o article_n contain_v in_o they_o the_o justification_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v most_o except_v against_o by_o other_o church_n and_o by_o she_o impose_v these_o as_o the_o condition_n of_o her_o communion_n she_o make_v it_o necessary_a for_o other_o church_n who_o will_v preserve_v the_o unity_n of_o the_o catholic_n church_n upon_o her_o true_a foundation_n to_o forbear_v her_o communion_n but_o the_o church_n of_o england_n make_v no_o article_n of_o faith_n but_o such_o as_o have_v the_o testimony_n and_o approbation_n of_o the_o whole_a christian_a world_n of_o all_o age_n and_o be_v acknowledge_v to_o be_v such_o by_o rome_n itself_o and_o in_o other_o thing_n she_o require_v subscription_n to_o they_o not_o as_o article_n of_o faith_n but_o as_o inferior_a truth_n which_o she_o expect_v a_o submission_n to_o in_o order_n to_o her_o peace_n and_o tranquillity_n so_o the_o salvation_n 2._o that_o the_o reason_n why_o these_o thing_n do_v become_v necessary_a be_v because_o the_o church_n have_v define_v they_o to_o be_v so_o 3._o that_o this_o be_v acknowledge_v by_o the_o church_n of_o england_n and_o therefore_o by_o parity_n of_o reason_n whatever_o be_v define_v by_o the_o church_n must_v be_v necessary_a to_o salvation_n but_o every_o one_o of_o these_o proposition_n be_v ambiguous_a the_o clear_a state_v of_o they_o will_v be_v the_o best_a way_n of_o solve_v the_o difficulty_n which_o seem_v to_o lie_v in_o the_o present_a argument_n and_o the_o main_a ambiguity_n lie_v in_o the_o meaning_n of_o that_o necessity_n to_o salvation_n which_o be_v imply_v in_o the_o athanasian_n creed_n as_o to_o the_o article_n therein_o contain_v for_o there_o be_v different_a ground_n and_o reason_n upon_o which_o thing_n may_v be_v suppose_v necessary_a there_o can_v be_v no_o just_a consequence_n make_v from_o the_o general_a own_v a_o necessity_n of_o the_o belief_n of_o some_o thing_n to_o the_o make_v those_o thing_n necessary_a to_o be_v believe_v upon_o one_o particular_a account_n of_o it_o for_o the_o necessity_n of_o believe_a thing_n to_o the_o matter_n any_o church_n may_v own_v they_o under_o this_o degree_n of_o necessity_n in_o that_o expression_n use_v in_o several_a place_n of_o the_o athanasian_n creed_n whosoever_o will_v be_v save_v it_o be_v necessary_a that_o he_o hold_v the_o catholic_n faith_n which_o catholic_n faith_n be_v etc._n etc._n but_o then_o we_o be_v to_o consider_v that_o this_o be_v only_o a_o declaration_n of_o the_o sense_n of_o that_o church_n what_o thing_n she_o own_v as_o necessary_a and_o what_o not_o and_o this_o declaration_n do_v not_o oblige_v the_o conscience_n of_o particular_a person_n any_o further_a than_o as_o the_o article_n of_o that_o church_n be_v require_v to_o be_v own_v as_o the_o condition_n of_o communion_n with_o she_o i._n e._n where_o the_o degree_n of_o believe_v without_o it_o any_o further_a than_o as_o thing_n under_o those_o explication_n be_v manifest_v to_o such_o person_n to_o be_v necessary_a to_o be_v believe_v as_o leo_n 3._o define_v in_o the_o article_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n procession_n from_o the_o son_n to_o such_o who_o by_o reason_n of_o capacity_n and_o apprehension_n can_v attain_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o it_o it_o be_v necessary_a to_o be_v believe_v but_o not_o by_o other_o as_o appear_v in_o our_o former_a discourse_n on_o that_o subject_a therefore_o from_o hence_o we_o see_v another_o account_n why_o thing_n may_v become_v necessary_a to_o be_v believe_v and_o own_a as_o such_o beside_o the_o matter_n and_o the_o church_n definition_n these_o thing_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v necessary_a to_o be_v believe_v by_o such_o who_o believe_v the_o church_n proposition_n to_o be_v sufficient_a though_o it_o be_v not_o as_o suppose_v any_o member_n of_o the_o greek_a church_n shall_v believe_v their_o
