chap._n 5.1_o misery_n be_v come_v upon_o we_o and_o we_o be_v come_v to_o humble_v ourselves_o and_o mourn_v before_o the_o lord_n for_o they_o and_o our_o sin_n the_o cause_n of_o these_o calamity_n it_o be_v report_v of_o the_o jew_n not_o on_o their_o day_n of_o mourning_n but_o of_o great_a rejoice_v in_o their_o marriage_n feast_n that_o they_o break_v a_o glass_n with_o wine_n in_o remembrance_n of_o jerusalem_n and_o say_v when_o they_o throw_v it_o down_o thus_o be_v jerusalem_n break_v and_o then_o what_o they_o spill_v in_o wine_n they_o fill_v with_o tear_n if_o they_o in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o feast_n weep_v in_o remembrance_n of_o jerusalem_n destroy_v so_o long_o before_o what_o shall_v we_o do_v in_o the_o day_n of_o our_o solemn_a fast_n for_o england_n now_o a_o break_n and_o ready_a to_o be_v ruin_v with_o smite_v especial_o see_v we_o stand_v here_o before_o the_o lord_n to_o mourn_v for_o our_o sin_n and_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o land_n which_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o these_o our_o stripe_n and_o true_o if_o they_o when_o they_o hear_v that_o god_n will_v not_o drive_v out_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o the_o land_n but_o leave_v they_o as_o thorn_n in_o their_o side_n do_v lift_v up_o their_o voice_n and_o weep_v 2.3.5_o judg._n 2.3.5_o so_o as_o the_o place_n be_v think_v worthy_a to_o be_v name_v bochim_n weeper_n now_o that_o god_n be_v about_o to_o destroy_v and_o drive_v out_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o the_o land_n shall_v not_o we_o so_o weep_v as_o the_o place_n of_o our_o tear_n may_v be_v make_v a_o bochim_n sure_o i_o be_o we_o may_v weep_v much_o cry_v long_o and_o loud_o before_o the_o cry_n of_o our_o prayer_n shall_v outcry_n our_o cry_a sin_n and_o as_o this_o duty_n belong_v to_o we_o all_o in_o general_a so_o especial_o unto_o such_o as_o be_v over_o the_o rest_n whether_o of_o judah_n 17._o joel_n 1.14_o &_o chap._n 2.16_o 17._o the_o ruler_n and_o teacher_n of_o the_o people_n who_o at_o such_o time_n as_o these_o be_v aught_o to_o be_v chief_a in_o this_o duty_n and_o be_v to_o mourn_v not_o only_o for_o their_o own_o sin_n but_o as_o it_o be_v to_o bear_v the_o iniquity_n of_o the_o kingdom_n which_o no_o doubt_n will_v be_v very_o acceptable_a in_o they_o and_o in_o time_n give_v they_o occasion_n with_o david_n to_o say_v i_o thank_v the_o o_o lord_n that_o thou_o have_v hear_v the_o voice_n of_o my_o weep_n and_o for_o the_o minister_n above_o all_o other_o they_o see_v how_o hardly_o the_o people_n be_v bring_v either_o to_o turn_v from_o or_o mourn_v for_o their_o sin_n after_o these_o warning_n and_o smiting_n have_v reason_n to_o resolve_v with_o jeremiah_n if_o you_o will_v not_o hear_v it_o my_o soul_n shall_v weep_v in_o secret_a place_n for_o your_o pride_n 13.17_o jer._n 13.17_o etc._n etc._n can_v they_o with_o the_o same_o prophet_n weep_v day_n and_o night_n for_o the_o sin_n &_o slay_v of_o his_o people_n and_o as_o the_o prophet_n ezekiel_n be_v command_v to_o sigh_v bitter_o 9.1_o jer._n 9.1_o and_o unto_o the_o break_n of_o his_o loin_n it_o can_v not_o be_v altogether_o without_o cause_n consider_v the_o sinful_a and_o sad_a and_o miserable_a condition_n of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o yet_o alas_o the_o people_n be_v as_o far_o from_o mourning_n as_o they_o be_v from_o return_v to_o he_o that_o smite_v they_o it_o be_v true_a of_o many_o among_o we_o which_o elihu_n observe_v if_o they_o obey_v not_o they_o shall_v perish_v by_o the_o sword_n 1●_n job_n 36.12_o 1●_n and_o they_o shall_v die_v without_o knowledge_n yet_o the_o hypocrite_n in_o heart_n heap_v up_o wrath_n they_o cry_v not_o when_o he_o bind_v they_o such_o as_o do_v sometime_o make_v fair_a show_n
