increase_v our_o grace_n and_o strengthen_v they_o watchfulness_n be_v a_o excellent_a thing_n to_o strengthen_v grace_n as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o text_n watch_n and_o strengthen_v the_o thing_n that_o remain_v whereas_o if_o a_o man_n do_v not_o watch_v his_o grace_n will_v die_v and_o decay_v every_o temptation_n will_v overcome_v he_o now_o we_o have_v need_n of_o more_o grace_n though_o we_o be_v mortify_v and_o lively_a and_o fear_v god_n and_o regard_v his_o name_n and_o be_v humble_a etc._n etc._n yet_o we_o have_v need_n be_v more_o humble_a and_o more_o vile_a in_o our_o own_o eye_n now_o how_o can_v we_o have_v this_o unless_o we_o be_v watchful_a the_o apostle_n therefore_o when_o he_o have_v call_v upon_o christian_n to_o be_v watchful_a in_o the_o next_o word_n say_v he_o grow_v in_o grace_n 2_o pet._n 3._o 18._o for_o if_o a_o man_n be_v watchful_a it_o be_v the_o way_n to_o grow_v three_o we_o shall_v watch_v our_o grace_n that_o we_o may_v work_v with_o they_o and_o exercise_v they_o and_o improve_v they_o upon_o all_o occasion_n we_o shall_v watch_v all_o opportunity_n to_o occupy_v with_o our_o talent_n it_o be_v say_v that_o god_n will_v have_v his_o people_n to_o seek_v good_a amos_n 5._o 14._o to_o seek_v how_o to_o do_v good_a from_o day_n to_o day_n so_o we_o shall_v watch_v all_o opportunity_n to_o do_v good_a and_o to_o stand_v for_o god_n and_o glorify_v his_o name_n and_o adorn_v the_o gospel_n that_o we_o profess_v opportunity_n do_v not_o come_v so_o often_o we_o have_v need_n take_v they_o when_o they_o come_v they_o be_v precious_a thing_n now_o if_o we_o do_v not_o watch_v god_n will_v many_o time_n tender_v we_o these_o thing_n and_o we_o shall_v have_v no_o heart_n to_o they_o second_o it_o be_v good_a to_o watch_v all_o good_a duty_n what_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o people_n pray_v no_o better_o hear_v no_o better_o draw_v near_o to_o god_n table_n and_o partake_v of_o the_o sacrament_n no_o better_o they_o get_v no_o power_n against_o sin_n no_o power_n against_o corruption_n it_o be_v because_o they_o do_v these_o thing_n without_o watchfulness_n mat._n 26._o 41._o christ_n say_v watch_v unto_o prayer_n we_o must_v be_v watchful_a if_o we_o will_v get_v good_a by_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n first_o we_o shall_v watch_v before_o the_o duty_n when_o we_o be_v go_v to_o prayer_n and_o go_v to_o god_n court_n we_o shall_v be_v watchful_a a_o prudent_a man_n look_v well_o to_o his_o go_n prov._n 14._o 15._o wheresoever_o he_o go_v he_o look_v well_o about_o he_o that_o he_o may_v
