until_o he_o may_v with_o fit_a opportunity_n revenge_v this_o villainy_n forthwith_o send_v privy_o into_o persia_n to_o cyrus_n show_v he_o how_o his_o grandfather_n have_v deal_v with_o he_o for_o save_v his_o life_n wish_v he_o also_o to_o prepare_v a_o army_n and_o come_v to_o challenge_v his_o kingdom_n which_o his_o grandfather_n mean_v to_o defraud_v he_o of_o cyrus_n have_v receive_v the_o letter_n consider_v the_o ancient_a wrong_n that_o his_o grandfather_n have_v offer_v he_o before_o and_o now_o also_o how_o great_o he_o have_v abuse_v he_o who_o have_v preserve_v his_o life_n wherefore_o he_o present_o gather_v a_o army_n mind_v now_o to_o challenge_v his_o right_n while_o that_o he_o have_v such_o a_o faithful_a friend_n as_o harpagus_n be_v who_o offer_v himself_o to_o of_o man_n and_o go_v himself_o against_o his_o nephew_n march_v on_o to_o the_o border_n of_o persia_n where_o be_v fight_v betwixt_o the_o grandfather_n and_o the_o nephew_n a_o most_o cruel_a and_o to_o the_o intent_n his_o soldier_n shall_v fight_v manful_o have_v divide_v his_o army_n in_o such_o sort_n that_o he_o place_v at_o the_o back_n of_o those_o that_o shall_v fight_v the_o battle_n a_o other_o army_n of_o soldier_n say_v unless_o they_o overcome_v and_o go_v forward_o they_o shall_v find_v as_o hard_a fight_n behind_o they_o as_o their_o enemy_n be_v before_o they_o if_o in_o case_n they_o shall_v offer_v to_o retire_v back_o the_o battle_n on_o both_o side_n be_v come_v to_o handstroke_n and_o deadly_a blow_n the_o persian_a army_n at_o the_o first_o begin_v to_o flee_v back_o and_o retire_v which_o sorrowful_a sight_n the_o persian_a woman_n have_v soon_o espy_v wherefore_o forthwith_o the_o matron_n wife_n and_o daughter_n assemble_v themselves_o in_o haste_n and_o run_v to_o meet_v they_o who_o come_v flée_v before_o astyages_n and_o the_o medean_o as_o man_n despair_v of_o their_o good_a fortune_n pluck_v and_o fold_v up_o their_o clothes_n show_v the_o privy_a secret_n of_o their_o body_n ask_v they_o whether_o or_o no_o they_o will_v flee_v for_o succour_v into_o the_o womb_n of_o their_o mother_n or_o wife_n request_v they_o earnest_o to_o ruin_n and_o destruction_n of_o stately_a town_n and_o city_n for_o after_o many_o cruel_a fight_n and_o bloody_a broil_n he_o enter_v into_o lydia_n where_o in_o a_o great_a battle_n he_o take_v return_v in_o the_o night_n to_o his_o tent_n again_o find_v the_o scythian_n overcome_v with_o his_o wine_n so_o that_o he_o easy_o slay_v the_o son_n of_o thomyris_n and_o the_o whole_a scythian_a one_o great_o suspect_v the_o other_o for_o as_o demetrius_n be_v bid_v to_o supper_n with_o alexander_n he_o be_v will_v to_o take_v heed_n to_o himself_o for_o alexander_n have_v practise_v by_o to_o bring_v he_o on_o his_o way_n but_o demetrius_n diverse_o detract_v the_o time_n &_o go_v a_o soft_a &_o easy_a pace_n to_z y_z e_z end_n his_o soldier_n may_v have_v leisure_n to_o arm_v they_o and_o command_v his_o guard_n be_v a_o great_a number_n than_o alexander_n to_o enter_v with_o he_o &_o also_o to_o wait_v near_o his_o person_n but_o when_o alexander_n soldier_n see_v themselves_o the_o weak_a part_n they_o dare_v not_o attempt_v it_o at_o that_o time_n and_o after_o supper_n because_o demetrius_n will_v have_v some_o honest_a cause_n to_o depart_v he_o feign_v he_o be_v some_o what_o ill_o in_o his_o body_n &_o therefore_o forthwith_o take_v leave_v of_o alexander_n &_o go_v thence_o the_o next_o day_n demetrius_n feign_a that_o he_o have_v receive_v letter_n out_o of_o his_o country_n of_o great_a importance_n so_o that_o he_o with_o his_o army_n must_v present_o return_v into_o peloponnese_n from_o whence_o he_o come_v pray_v alexander_n to_o have_v he_o excuse_v offer_v he_o

because_o he_o will_v better_o let_v he_o understande_v some_o sign_n of_o good_a will_n &_o hearty_a love_n he_o accompany_v he_o into_o thessaly_n but_o after_o they_o be_v arrive_v in_o the_o city_n of_o larissa_n they_o a_o fresh_a begin_v to_o practice_v new_a treason_n one_o against_o another_o and_o first_o alexander_n to_o put_v demetrius_n quite_o out_o of_o suspicion_n either_o think_v great_o deceive_v for_o as_o alexander_n one_o night_n come_v to_o supper_n to_o demetrius_n without_o guard_n according_a to_o his_o accustom_a wont_a and_o that_o they_o be_v in_o the_o chief_a of_o their_o supper_n demetrius_n sudden_o arise_v from_o the_o table_n whereat_o alexander_n be_v sore_o abash_v insomuch_o that_o he_o arise_v also_o &_o follow_v he_o to_o the_o hall_n door_n alex._n but_o so_o soon_o as_o demetrius_n be_v without_o he_o give_v sign_n and_o token_n to_o his_o soldier_n who_o incontinent_o fall_v upon_o alexander_n and_o slay_v he_o and_o certain_a of_o his_o man_n which_o will_v have_v defend_v he_o among_o who_o a_o certain_a fellow_n before_o he_o be_v kill_v say_v demetrius_n have_v prevent_v we_o but_o a_o day_n only_o now_o be_v demetrius_n king_n of_o macedon_n and_o the_o macedonian_n right_o glad_a of_o their_o change_n demetri●_n but_o not_o long_o after_o this_o demetrius_n be_v take_v prisoner_n by_o seleuchus_n in_o as_o she_o say_v because_o it_o be_v suspect_v that_o he_o have_v poison_v he_o in_o give_v he_o drink_v about_o the_o same_o time_n when_o ptolemy_n lord_n of_o the_o isle_n of_o cypress_n
