but_o vain_a and_o disappoint_v they_o for_o you_o have_v eat_v the_o fruit_n of_o lie_n sin_n as_o it_o promise_v any_o thing_n to_o the_o sinner_n be_v but_o a_o lie_n and_o the_o fruit_n of_o it_o which_o man_n seem_v to_o enjoy_v be_v but_o lie_a fruit_n and_o such_o fruit_n as_o beseem_v a_o vain_a and_o deceive_a course_n 4._o man_n carnal_a confidence_n be_v great_a snare_n to_o draw_v they_o upon_o sinful_a course_n and_o be_v promise_a fruit_n which_o will_v disappoint_v they_o therefore_o it_o be_v add_v because_o thou_o do_v trust_v in_o thy_o way_n etc._n etc._n their_o confidence_n to_o bear_v out_o in_o a_o sinful_a way_n make_v they_o painful_a in_o it_o and_o this_o be_v instance_a as_o one_o of_o the_o fruit_n of_o their_o course_n which_o shall_v prove_v the_o fruit_n of_o lie_n and_o no_o wonder_n for_o it_o be_v a_o trust_n not_o only_o in_o a_o object_n beside_o god_n but_o in_o what_o be_v sinful_a 5._o there_o be_v no_o confidence_n that_o more_o ready_o ensnare_v man_n and_o will_v disappoint_v they_o soon_o than_o their_o own_o witty_a project_n and_o device_n in_o matter_n civil_a and_o sacred_a without_o respect_v the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o their_o seem_a to_o have_v power_n enough_o to_o manage_v and_o uphold_v they_o in_o these_o contrive_a way_n for_o such_o be_v their_o snare_n here_o which_o will_v disappoint_v they_o thou_o do_v trust_v in_o thy_o way_n in_o the_o multitude_n of_o thy_o mighty_a man_n that_o be_v when_o they_o see_v their_o counsel_n in_o religion_n and_o state-change_n like_a to_o stand_v and_o their_o kingdom_n abound_v with_o valiant_a man_n then_o they_o begin_v to_o trust_v that_o such_o a_o course_n will_v still_o bear_v out_o and_o so_o be_v tempt_v to_o draw_v more_o furrow_n of_o that_o the_o injury_n they_o do_v and_o will_v be_v avenge_v for_o what_o have_v you_o to_o do_v with_o i_o etc._n etc._n say_v he_o and_o this_o he_o bring_v with_o a_o yea_o also_o as_o be_v especial_o comfort_n and_o this_o shall_v make_v all_o thing_n dark_a on_o earth_n to_o they_o and_o these_o dreadful_a sight_n shall_v terrify_v they_o verse_n 16._o the_o lord_z shall_v also_o roar_v out_o zeph._n 2.11_o isa_n 42.13_o 14._o and_o beside_o their_o desolate_a condition_n v._o 15._o the_o lord_n also_o shall_v roar_v to_o embitter_v that_o and_o as_o the_o cause_n of_o it_o as_o be_v that_o god_n from_o out_o of_o zion_n have_v speak_v against_o they_o by_o his_o word_n and_o that_o now_o his_o speech_n go_v forth_o in_o execution_n shall_v be_v find_v terrible_a as_o the_o roar_n of_o a_o lion_n 3._o god_n will_v make_v his_o presence_n with_o and_o love_n to_o his_o people_n conspicuous_a by_o his_o indignation_n and_o severity_n against_o their_o enemy_n for_o the_o lord_n cast_v out_o of_o it_o and_o if_o they_o who_o be_v so_o universal_o spread_v through_o the_o earth_n need_v general_a commotion_n to_o make_v they_o miserable_a 5._o when_o god_n be_v shake_v the_o earth_n to_o overturn_v enemy_n god_n people_n may_v be_v exercise_v with_o many_o fear_n and_o apprehension_n that_o the_o storm_n will_v break_v upon_o they_o therefore_o they_o need_v a_o promise_n to_o secure_v they_o against_o this_o 6._o nothing_o will_v be_v able_a to_o secure_v the_o heart_n of_o god_n people_n against_o the_o terror_n of_o a_o time_n of_o great_a commotion_n but_o god_n only_o and_o what_o they_o find_v in_o he_o and_o from_o he_o therefore_o do_v the_o promise_n remit_v they_o to_o what_o the_o lord_n will_v be_v unto_o they_o 7._o in_o time_n of_o great_a shall_v point_v out_o that_o as_o these_o water_n flow_v out_o from_o the_o temple_n with_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o sacrifice_n so_o these_o gospel-refreshments_a and_o grace_n do_v flow_v out_o unto_o the_o world_n from_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v a_o truth_n of_o itself_o that_o christ_n be_v to_o be_v acknowledge_v for_o all_o of_o these_o whatever_o be_v say_v of_o the_o lead_v to_o the_o three_o thing_n to_o be_v explain_v which_o be_v the_o extent_n of_o this_o benefit_n that_o it_o shall_v flow_v out_o as_o a_o river_n to_o water_v not_o only_a judea_n but_o the_o country_n about_o signify_v that_o there_o shall_v not_o only_o be_v abundance_n of_o save_a doctrine_n and_o of_o grace_n and_o refreshment_n in_o the_o church_n of_o israel_n but_o that_o fountain_n open_v up_o among_o they_o shall_v flow_v forth_o to_o other_o nation_n to_o water_v they_o and_o make_v they_o fruitful_a and_o in_o particular_a the_o valley_n of_o shittim_n be_v name_v which_o be_v a_o plain_a in_o moah_n numb_a 25.1_o josh_n 2.1_o which_o it_o seem_v be_v barren_a and_o the_o water_n thereof_o unwholesome_a by_o reason_n it_o lay_v so_o near_o the_o dead-sea_n or_o lake_n the_o lord_n people_n that_o their_o estimation_n of_o mercy_n decay_v because_o they_o be_v common_a and_o ordinary_a whereas_o god_n hand_n shall_v be_v see_v dispense_n they_o in_o a_o peculiar_a way_n to_o they_o and_o to_o prevent_v their_o miscarriage_n he_o do_v so_o order_v their_o outward_a mercy_n as_o his_o special_a providence_n may_v be_v see_v in_o give_v they_o therefore_o do_v
