whole_a church_n and_o nation_n to_o which_o you_o belong_v can_v make_v any_o tolerable_a impression_n upon_o you_o you_o must_v then_o think_v yourselves_o oblige_v upon_o the_o account_n of_o all_o these_o most_o powerful_a and_o prevail_a motive_n to_o make_v it_o your_o great_a care_n to_o live_v and_o die_v as_o it_o become_v christian_n to_o fear_n god_n and_o to_o pray_v unto_o he_o continual_o and_o so_o to_o order_v your_o conversation_n aright_o that_o iniquity_n may_v not_o be_v your_o rain_n neither_o in_o this_o world_n nor_o in_o that_o which_o be_v to_o come_v this_o gentleman_n be_v the_o hearty_a desire_n of_o he_o who_o daily_o remember_v you_o in_o his_o prayer_n to_o god_n for_o you_o and_o who_o earnest_o entreat_v and_o exhort_v you_o to_o pray_v daily_o for_o yourselves_o likewise_o that_o god_n will_v prosper_v your_o cause_n you_o have_v in_o hand_n that_o he_o will_v plead_v your_o cause_n with_o they_o that_o strive_v with_o you_o and_o fight_v against_o they_o that_o fight_v against_o you_o that_o by_o his_o heavenly_a wisdom_n and_o power_n from_o above_o he_o will_v direct_v the_o council_n and_o influence_n the_o conduct_n and_o defend_v the_o person_n of_o your_o royal_a general_n and_o so_o continue_v both_o he_o and_o you_o under_o the_o merciful_a care_n and_o protection_n of_o his_o good_a providence_n that_o you_o may_v be_v still_o safe_a from_o the_o power_n of_o your_o enemy_n and_o that_o the_o ungodly_a and_o those_o that_o hate_v you_o may_v not_o be_v able_a to_o triumph_v over_o you_o but_o that_o you_o may_v do_v valiant_o and_o conquer_v glorious_o and_o rejoice_v great_o in_o the_o god_n of_o your_o salvation_n say_v bless_a be_v the_o lord_n god_n our_o saviour_n and_o mighty_a deliverer_n who_o have_v do_v great_a thing_n for_o we_o and_o praise_v be_v the_o lord_n for_o evermore_o who_o have_v pleasure_n in_o the_o prosperity_n of_o his_o servant_n form_n of_o prayer_n and_o devotion_n for_o the_o use_n of_o the_o army_n it_o be_v purposely_o design_v that_o the_o prayer_n which_o be_v here_o recommend_v to_o your_o use_n shall_v be_v short_a and_o few_o and_o that_o no_o more_o shall_v be_v impose_v upon_o you_o in_o this_o case_n than_o the_o most_o busy_a circumstance_n of_o your_o employment_n may_v be_v well_o suppose_v to_o admit_v but_o forasmuch_o as_o every_o one_o who_o call_v himself_o christian_n and_o think_v it_o his_o duty_n to_o pray_v at_o all_o can_v but_o allow_v it_o to_o be_v high_o useful_a and_o expedient_a to_o implore_v the_o daily_a protection_n and_o to_o show_v forth_o the_o love_a kindness_n of_o that_o god_n who_o alone_o make_v he_o both_o to_o sleep_v and_o wake_v and_o dwell_v in_o safety_n i_o hope_v you_o will_v all_o account_v it_o but_o a_o very_a reasonable_a service_n for_o man_n in_o your_o circumstance_n more_o especial_o to_o begin_v and_o end_v the_o day_n with_o these_o short_a form_n follow_v a_o prayer_n for_o the_o morning_n o_o almighty_a and_o most_o merciful_a lord_n god_n i_o return_v thou_o my_o most_o humble_a and_o hearty_a thanks_o for_o renew_v thy_o mercy_n towards_o i_o every_o morning_n and_o for_o the_o particular_a care_n and_o watchfulness_n of_o thy_o good_a providence_n over_o i_o this_o night_n past_a o_o continue_v forth_o thy_o goodness_n and_o love_a kindness_n towards_o i_o and_o be_v thou_o still_o my_o saviour_n and_o mighty_a deliverer_n in_o all_o my_o danger_n and_o necessity_n in_o the_o time_n of_o battle_n in_o the_o hour_n of_o death_n and_o in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n take_v i_o into_o thy_o divine_a favour_n and_o protection_n this_o day_n more_o especial_o i_o most_o humble_o beseech_v thou_o and_o keep_v i_o from_o all_o thing_n that_o may_v be_v hurtful_a both_o to_o my_o soul_n and_o body_n grant_v o_o lord_n that_o i_o may_v give_v no_o occasion_n of_o offence_n to_o any_o of_o those_o among_o who_o i_o converse_v that_o i_o may_v not_o be_v guilty_a of_o any_o cruelty_n or_o unjust_a violence_n any_o unchristian_a hatred_n malice_n or_o revenge_n or_o any_o other_o uncharitableness_n towards_o my_o neighbour_n but_o that_o in_o all_o my_o conversation_n i_o may_v live_v paceable_o and_o unblamable_o so_o as_o neither_o to_o do_v any_o wrong_n nor_o to_o suffer_v any_o assist_v i_o with_o thy_o grace_n and_o holy_a spirit_n to_o keep_v my_o body_n in_o temperance_n soberness_n and_o chastity_n that_o i_o may_v keep_v my_o soul_n innocent_a and_o undefiled_a thereby_o and_o my_o body_n the_o better_o strengthen_v and_o prepare_v for_o that_o vigorous_a and_o active_a â—â—vice_n in_o the_o which_o i_o be_o employ_v set_a a_o watch_n over_o my_o lip_n o_o lord_n that_o i_o offend_v not_o with_o my_o tongue_n that_o no_o
