question_n propound_v in_o the_o former_a chapter_n vers_fw-la 〈◊〉_d and_o so_o forth_o but_o touch_v the_o beginning_n of_o this_o chapter_n it_o be_v a_o garnish_n or_o a_o stay_n in_o the_o further_o lay_v out_o of_o the_o matter_n by_o the_o way_n of_o match_v together_o of_o the_o contrary_n to_o wit_n of_o the_o punishment_n or_o judgement_n of_o god_n against_o the_o forefather_n of_o the_o jew_n and_o of_o the_o promise_n already_o make_v unto_o their_o posterity_n by_o the_o free_a mercy_n of_o god_n and_o not_o utter_v and_o beslow_v upon_o they_o for_o any_o righteousness_n or_o desert_n of_o they_o as_o appear_v hereafter_o verse_n 15._o and_o it_o be_v requisite_a that_o these_o promise_n shall_v be_v set_v after_o these_o judgement_n and_o punishment_n of_o god_n against_o the_o jew_n lest_o they_o may_v suppose_v god_n to_o bestil_n angry_a with_o they_o and_o consequent_o may_v lay_v aside_o all_o hope_n and_o mind_n of_o building_n of_o the_o the_o more_o diligent_o to_o be_v confirm_v ver._n 2._o thus_o say_v the_o lord_n of_o host_n i_o be_v jealous_a for_o zion_n with_o great_a jealousy_n and_o i_o be_v jealous_a for_o she_o with_o great_a wrath_n be_v the_o chief_a come_v of_o all_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n towards_o his_o church_n be_v the_o manner_n &_o order_n of_o the_o prophet_n his_o stay_n still_o in_o the_o confirmation_n of_o the_o former_a doctrine_n for_o first_o of_o all_o he_o set_v ●owne_n the_o very_a cause_n itself_o nay_o the_o ch●ese_n cause_n of_o all_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n to_o come_v and_o which_o be_v to_o be_v rehearse_v namely_o the_o only_a mercy_n and_o good_a will_n of_o god_n towards_o they_o both_o that_o these_o jew_n the_o posterity_n of_o their_o forefather_n shall_v not_o think_v that_o they_o have_v deserve_v these_o thing_n at_o the_o hand_n of_o g●d_n with_o their_o ceremony_n or_o holiness_n of_o life_n
