how_o he_o be_v purpose_v to_o deal_v with_o his_o enemy_n thereby_o to_o appease_v the_o grief_n and_o discontent_n of_o his_o spirit_n concern_v they_o and_o then_o a_o chief_a part_n of_o the_o significancie_n of_o this_o apparition_n must_v consist_v in_o this_o that_o god_n be_v not_o in_o the_o wind_n nor_o in_o the_o earthquake_n nor_o in_o the_o fire_n as_o be_v note_v vers_fw-la 11.12_o namely_o that_o though_o the_o lord_n be_v of_o infinite_a power_n to_o destroy_v all_o his_o wicked_a adversary_n and_o can_v by_o divers_a terrible_a and_o unresistable_a judgement_n punish_v ahab_n and_o jezebel_n and_o other_o his_o proud_a persecutor_n yet_o he_o will_v rather_o still_o deal_v with_o they_o according_a to_o his_o wont_a long_a suffering_n and_o patience_n by_o the_o still_a and_o gentle_a voice_n of_o the_o ministry_n of_o his_o prophet_n or_o happy_o that_o though_o he_o can_v sweep_v they_o away_o instant_o with_o his_o judgement_n yet_o rather_o he_o will_v effect_v their_o ruin_n in_o his_o good_a time_n in_o a_o more_o secret_a hide_a and_o tacit_n way_n yea_o and_o fourthly_a it_o be_v not_o improbable_a which_o some_o also_o add_v that_o hereby_o likewise_o be_v signify_v that_o god_n save_v manifestation_n of_o himself_o be_v not_o to_o be_v expect_v in_o the_o terror_n of_o the_o law_n but_o in_o the_o still_a and_o gracious_a voice_n of_o the_o gospel_n verse_n 13._o he_o wrap_v his_o face_n in_o his_o mantle_n and_o go_v out_o and_o stand_v in_o the_o enter_v in_o of_o the_o cave_n the_o lord_n do_v before_o enjoin_v which_o you_o must_v go_v neither_o be_v this_o the_o city_n where_o you_o must_v meet_v with_o elisha_n follow_v i_o etc._n etc._n verse_n 21._o and_o the_o king_n of_o israel_n say_v unto_o elisha_n thou_o have_v take_v captive_a with_o thy_o sword_n and_o with_o thy_o bow_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v if_o thou_o have_v take_v they_o prisoner_n in_o the_o battle_n thou_o will_v not_o hear_v what_o god_n have_v do_v to_o this_o army_n who_o they_o have_v send_v to_o apprehend_v his_o prophet_n verse_n 23._o so_o the_o band_n of_o syria_n come_v no_o more_o into_o the_o land_n of_o band_n of_o boot-haler_n as_o former_o fear_v perhaps_o lest_o they_o shall_v be_v catch_v in_o a_o trap_n as_o now_o they_o have_v be_v but_o the_o king_n gather_v all_o his_o host_n and_o go_v up_o against_o they_o with_o a_o power_n which_o he_o think_v they_o will_v be_v no_o way_n able_a to_o resist_v verse_n 24._o benhadad_a king_n of_o syria_n gather_v all_o his_o host_n and_o go_v up_o and_o besiege_a samaria_n this_o be_v that_o benhadad_a that_o have_v once_o before_o besiege_a samaria_n in_o ahabs_n time_n 1_o king_n 20.1_o then_o the_o israelite_n raise_v the_o siege_n and_o make_v he_o fly_v with_o shame_n and_o loss_n and_o the_o rather_o happy_o do_v he_o now_o attempt_v the_o besiege_n of_o this_o city_n again_o that_o be_v may_v blot_v out_o the_o reproach_n of_o his_o shameful_a flight_n from_o the_o former_a siege_n encourage_v thereto_o by_o the_o great_a overthrow_n he_o have_v give_v the_o israelite_n in_o that_o battle_n wherein_o ahab_n be_v slay_v 1_o king_n 22.34_o it_o may_v indeed_o seem_v strange_a that_o naaman_n be_v so_o great_a with_o the_o king_n of_o syria_n do_v not_o keep_v he_o off_o from_o invade_v the_o land_n of_o israel_n but_o for_o this_o we_o must_v consider_v first_o that_o naaman_n may_v in_o this_o time_n be_v dead_a or_o second_o that_o he_o dare_v not_o show_v himself_o so_o far_o a_o friend_n to_o god_n people_n as_o to_o dissuade_v the_o king_n from_o this_o war_n or_o three_o that_o perhaps_o he_o have_v lose_v his_o place_n and_o favour_n with_o the_o king_n beacuse_v he_o have_v embrace_v the_o religion_n of_o israel_n however_o in_o this_o second_o siege_n of_o samaria_n we_o see_v how_o the_o israelite_n still_o smart_v for_o ahab_n impious_a pity_n in_o
servant_n a_o slave_n however_o now_o he_o be_v in_o high_a place_n and_o esteem_v or_o else_o because_o now_o he_o be_v now_o the_o deputy_n lieutenant_n the_o king_n vassal_n or_o servant_n among_o the_o ammonite_n now_o this_o tobiah_n because_o his_o wife_n be_v a_o jewish_a have_v ever_o and_o anon_o advertisement_n of_o their_o affair_n and_o so_o wrought_v they_o great_a trouble_n verse_n
