destruction_n but_o from_o all_o other_o enemy_n and_o danger_n so_o far_o forth_o as_o may_v make_v for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n now_o god_n have_v renew_a or_o rather_o confirm_v the_o same_o covenant_n with_o we_o and_o with_o all_o believer_n in_o christ_n 1.2_o they_o pray_v in_o the_o faith_n of_o god_n covenant_n make_v unto_o jacob_n and_o to_o his_o posterity_n heb._n 1.2_o and_o he_o or_o as_o it_o be_v say_v by_o god_n himself_o if_o they_o break_v my_o statute_n 89.31_o psalm_n 89.31_o and_o keep_v not_o my_o commandment_n then_o will_v i_o visit_v their_o transgression_n with_o the_o rod_n and_o their_o iniquity_n with_o stroke_n yet_o my_o love_a kindness_n will_v i_o not_o take_v from_o they_o nor_o falsify_v my_o truth_n my_o covenant_n will_v i_o not_o break_v and_o courage_n against_o his_o enemy_n to_o that_o end_n from_o zion_n where_o by_o sanctuary_n he_o mean_v heaven_n in_o the_o hebrew_n it_o be_v holy_a namely_o place_n that_o be_v heaven_n which_o be_v the_o holy_a place_n of_o god_n abode_n and_o in_o the_o sixth_o verse_n both_o be_v express_v namely_o heaven_n and_o holy_a place_n and_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v then_o take_v here_o for_o from_o whence_o shall_v god_n hear_v we_o and_o help_v we_o but_o from_o heaven_n do_v we_o not_o when_o we_o pray_v lift_v up_o our_o mind_n our_o eye_n and_o our_o hand_n unto_o heaven_n and_o christ_n have_v teach_v we_o to_o pray_v o_o our_o father_n heaven_n they_o pray_v for_o help_v from_o heaven_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n etc._n etc._n he_o teach_v they_o then_o to_o pray_v that_o god_n will_v send_v they_o help_v from_o heaven_n and_o thus_o he_o show_v his_o own_o faith_n and_o teach_v they_o also_o so_o to_o believe_v that_o all_o his_o help_n in_o all_o danger_n must_v able_a to_o do_v so_o and_o so_o one_o of_o they_o have_v slay_v eight_o hundred_o at_o one_o time_n another_o of_o they_o defend_v a_o place_n against_o the_o whole_a host_n of_o the_o philistines_n and_o another_o slay_v three_o hundred_o at_o once_o and_o three_o of_o they_o do_v break_v through_o the_o army_n of_o the_o philistines_n to_o fetch_v water_n for_o david_n and_o return_v safe_o and_o such_o like_a thing_n they_o may_v have_v boast_v of_o but_o as_o though_o they_o be_v no_o body_n nor_o ever_o have_v do_v any_o thing_n or_o have_v no_o mean_n to_o help_v themselves_o they_o the_o ease_n and_o release_v of_o the_o affliction_n of_o our_o brethren_n that_o we_o may_v rejoice_v here_o than_o we_o have_v another_o reason_n to_o persuade_v we_o to_o pray_v for_o those_o that_o be_v and_o have_v be_v a_o long_a time_n visit_v with_o the_o pestilence_n and_o the_o grievous_a hand_n of_o god_n rejoice_v we_o shall_v pray_v that_o the_o plague_n may_v cease_v from_o be_v but_o one_o that_o pray_v they_o say_v i_o know_v and_o this_o they_o do_v according_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o true_a faith_n which_o be_v to_o apply_v god_n promise_n and_o his_o merciful_a deliverance_n particular_o to_o every_o man_n and_o woman_n and_o so_o say_v as_o it_o be_v in_o our_o creed_n i_o believe_v in_o god_n and_o not_o we_o believe_v that_o be_v i_o be_o persuade_v that_o he_o be_v the_o god_n not_o only_o of_o other_o but_o of_o i_o and_o so_o here_o though_o many_o do_v use_v this_o prayer_n together_o yet_o every_o one_o be_v to_o have_v this_o faith_n in_o god_n will_v hear_v us._n and_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o pray_v in_o vain_a but_o he_o will_v give_v we_o the_o thing_n that_o we_o ask_v and_o this_o faith_n be_v so_o requisite_a and_o necessary_a that_o without_o it_o neither_o be_v our_o prayer_n acceptable_a unto_o god_n neither_o can_v we_o look_v to_o receive_v any_o thing_n at_o his_o hand_n 11.6_o heb._n 11.6_o for_o without_o faith_n thy_o love_a mercy_n and_o for_o thy_o truth_n sake_n wherefore_o shall_v the_o heathen_a say_v when_o be_v now_o their_o god_n our_o god_n be_v in_o heaven_n he_o do_v whatsoever_o he_o will_n where_o they_o pray_v god_n that_o he_o will_v do_v that_o that_o may_v make_v most_o for_o his_o glory_n not_o for_o themselves_o but_o for_o his_o mercy_n and_o truth_n sake_n that_o he_o may_v be_v praise_v so_o must_v we_o pray_v that_o god_n will_v so_o deal_v with_o we_o in_o this_o visitation_n of_o he_o that_o he_o may_v be_v know_v to_o be_v our_o god_n and_o so_o honour_v of_o we_o and_o of_o all_o other_o so_o that_o whether_o he_o remove_v it_o or_o it_o continue_v his_o glory_n may_v be_v set_v forth_o by_o it_o and_o that_o do_v that_o may_v make_v most_o for_o it_o thing_n if_o we_o do_v pray_v in_o the_o zeal_n of_o god_n glory_n we_o may_v obtain_v great_a thing_n and_o assure_o if_o we_o can_v come_v to_o these_o indifferent_a mind_n to_o have_v or_o to_o forgo_v health_n and_o other_o thing_n as_o they_o may_v make_v most_o for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n then_o we_o shall_v see_v how_o the_o lord_n will_v deal_v with_o we_o in_o this_o and_o all_o other_o thing_n beside_o therefore_o let_v we_o be_v so_o inflame_v with_o the_o zeal_n of_o god_n glory_n that_o we_o may_v pray_v as_o the_o people_n do_v here_o give_v i_o this_o and_o give_v i_o that_o that_o we_o may_v sing_v of_o thy_o salvation_n and_o set_v up_o our_o banner_n in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n when_o he_o shall_v fulfil_v all_o our_o petition_n and_o we_o shall_v find_v by_o experience_n that_o the_o more_o we_o seek_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n in_o any_o thing_n the_o soon_o shall_v we_o have_v it_o and_o in_o great_a measure_n for_o god_n though_o he_o shall_v forget_v we_o yet_o he_o can_v forget_v the_o glory_n of_o his_o name_n nor_o those_o that_o be_v careful_a of_o it_o so_o then_o whether_o we_o ask_v the_o forgiveness_n of_o our_o sin_n or_o the_o increase_n of_o faith_n or_o any_o other_o of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n to_o lead_v a_o holy_a life_n we_o must_v respect_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n in_o they_o and_o that_o we_o and_o other_o may_v praise_v he_o for_o they_o or_o

come_v against_o this_o great_a multitude_n o_o lord_n thou_o be_v our_o god_n let_v not_o man_n prevail_v against_o thou_o where_o we_o see_v how_o he_o do_v not_o consider_v of_o the_o power_n of_o god_n as_o shut_v up_o in_o himself_o but_o as_o that_o which_o be_v ready_a to_o be_v show_v in_o their_o defence_n against_o their_o enemy_n as_o david_n do_v here_o and_o indeed_o therein_o
