isa_n 45._o 23._o phil_n 2._o 8_o 9_o with_o psal_n 2._o 5_o 6_o etc._n etc._n and_o so_o the_o will_n of_o god_n concern_v what_o he_o be_v to_o do_v that_o man_n may_v be_v save_v afford_v good_a and_o large_a ground_n to_o pray_v for_o they_o and_o the_o terror_n appear_v in_o that_o which_o shall_v after_o be_v accomplish_v to_o their_o woe_n if_o now_o his_o grace_n be_v reject_v afford_v thanksgiving_n to_o this_o end_n for_o first_o there_o be_v certain_o and_o truth_n in_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n to_o manward_n as_o manifest_v in_o and_o through_o christ_n and_o second_o that_o be_v and_o be_v to_o be_v manifest_v to_o all_o man_n by_o one_o mean_n or_o other_o and_o in_o due_a time_n so_o as_o and_o to_o that_o end_n that_o it_o may_v be_v know_v that_o through_o he_o they_o may_v be_v save_v god_n will_v have_v all_o man_n to_o be_v save_v and_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n man_n not_o believe_v this_o must_v needs_o pray_v such_o prayer_n shall_v open_v it_o in_o these_o branch_n 1._o that_o it_o tend_v very_o much_o to_o the_o good_a of_o all_o man_n that_o believer_n lead_v a_o quiet_a and_o peaceable_a life_n in_o all_o godliness_n and_o honesty_n among_o they_o 2._o that_o therefore_o god_n like_v it_o well_o and_o require_v it_o that_o those_o who_o he_o set_v in_o authority_n or_o eminent_a place_n place_n of_o government_n shall_v all_o of_o they_o have_v a_o special_a eye_n at_o this_o that_o his_o people_n that_o worship_n he_o and_o will_v live_v quiet_o in_o the_o land_n that_o they_o may_v lead_v a_o quiet_a and_o peaceable_a life_n in_o all_o godliness_n and_o honesty_n under_o their_o protection_n and_o government_n 3._o we_o shall_v consider_v what_o those_o thing_n be_v in_o general_a that_o will_v tend_v to_o this_o and_o which_o be_v require_v of_o governor_n that_o believer_n may_v lead_v such_o a_o life_n 4._o what_o that_o be_v that_o will_v especial_o furnish_v they_o to_o these_o thing_n and_o so_o be_v especial_o to_o be_v desire_v for_o they_o 1._o that_o it_o tend_v very_o much_o to_o the_o good_a of_o all_o man_n that_o believer_n lead_v a_o quiet_a and_o peaceable_a life_n in_o all_o godliness_n and_o honesty_n among_o they_o we_o shall_v here_o 1._o consider_v what_o it_o be_v to_o lead_v a_o quiet_a and_o peaceable_a life_n in_o all_o godliness_n and_o honesty_n 2._o see_v how_o this_o tend_v so_o much_o to_o the_o good_a of_o all_o man_n to_o be_v desire_v by_o we_o 1._o for_o the_o first_o what_o it_o be_v to_o lead_v a_o quiet_a and_o peaceable_a life_n in_o all_o godliness_n and_o honesty_n note_v that_o it_o be_v not_o every_o or_o any_o kind_n of_o lead_v the_o life_n quiet_o or_o peaceable_o that_o be_v commendable_a in_o the_o believer_n and_o will_v be_v profitable_a unto_o other_o but_o the_o lead_v a_o quiet_a and_o peaceable_a life_n in_o all_o godliness_n and_o honesty_n like_o that_o heb._n 12._o 14._o follow_v peace_n with_o all_o man_n and_o holiness_n without_o which_o no_o man_n shall_v see_v the_o lord_n holiness_n and_o so_o here_o godliness_n and_o honesty_n be_v the_o main_a thing_n to_o be_v pursue_v and_o in_o which_o the_o believer_n be_v always_o to_o continue_v and_o be_v exercise_v and_o hold_v fast_o and_o exercise_v himself_o therein_o he_o be_v to_o follow_v peace_n with_o all_o man_n to_o study_v to_o be_v quiet_a as_o much_o as_o be_v possible_a to_o live_v peaceable_o with_o all_o man_n rom._n 12._o 17_o 18._o he_o be_v not_o to_o wave_v swerve_v nor_o shrink_v from_o his_o continuance_n in_o and_o exercise_v

shall_v have_v good_a cause_n to_o say_v let_v we_o abide_v here_o for_o this_o be_v our_o rest_n to_o which_o we_o be_v call_v by_o the_o gospel_n yea_o and_o we_o shall_v be_v ever_o together_o with_o the_o lord_n such_o i_o say_v be_v the_o excellency_n in_o the_o thing_n themselves_o as_o well_o as_o also_o there_o be_v every_o way_n so_o much_o suitable_a instruction_n to_o instruct_v we_o and_o give_v we_o reason_n to_o the_o matter_n of_o the_o exhortation_n of_o which_o we_o may_v not_o here_o particular_o treat_v that_o the_o consideration_n thereof_o may_v and_o will_v frame_v we_o to_o willingness_n to_o wait_v till_o then_o patient_o for_o our_o sit_v down_o and_o for_o the_o accomplishment_n of_o the_o prophecy_n and_o promise_n as_o to_o the_o reward_n of_o all_o our_o service_n and_o suffering_n for_o he_o yea_o not_o to_o part_v with_o that_o hope_n for_o any_o fancy_n or_o shadow_n or_o whatever_o we_o be_v capable_a of_o enjoy_v in_o this_o day_n therefore_o comfort_v one_o another_o with_o these_o word_n say_v this_o apostle_n 1_o thess_n 4._o 14_o 17._o and_o here_o by_o these_o thing_n he_o thus_o earnest_o admonish_v and_o beseech_v they_o as_o before_o and_o for_o further_a instruction_n about_o it_o as_o well_o as_o especial_o to_o give_v we_o a_o reason_n why_o he_o so_o earnest_o beseech_v they_o he_o further_o say_v let_v no_o man_n deceive_v you_o by_o any_o mean_n for_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o great_a fall_v away_o first_o and_o the_o man_n of_o sin_n reveal_v etc._n etc._n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v as_o our_o saviour_n do_v therefore_o i_o so_o earnest_o admonish_v you_o to_o take_v heed_n that_o no_o man_n by_o any_o mean_n deceive_v you_o because_o the_o latter_a day_n will_v be_v so_o perilous_a through_o the_o abound_a of_o the_o mystery_n of_o iniquity_n under_o high_a form_n and_o pretence_n of_o godliness_n that_o very_o there_o will_v many_o be_v deceive_v by_o they_o yea_o such_o will_v be_v the_o yet_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o more_o full_a revelation_n of_o he_o and_o overspread_v of_o abomination_n by_o he_o even_o to_o the_o further_o make_v desolate_a the_o holy_a place_n as_o before_o in_o his_o body_n or_o grosser_n part_n to_o the_o desolate_v the_o outward_a court_n as_o among_o we_o gentile_n to_o be_v more_o abundant_o and_o full_o verify_v if_o any_o i_o say_v to_o this_o do_v think_v or_o say_v not_o so_o i_o can_v be_v glad_a to_o say_v amen_o if_o i_o can_v find_v it_o suitable_a to_o the_o instruction_n and_o fore-warning_n of_o the_o gospel_n however_o we_o may_v pray_v the_o lord_n in_o mercy_n to_o cut_v short_a those_o day_n for_o methinks_v the_o beginning_n of_o they_o begin_v shrewd_o to_o make_v desolate_a what_o will_v be_v the_o issue_n especial_o if_o christ_n ans_fw-fr will_v not_o mind_v timely_a admonition_n but_o put_v far_o away_o the_o evil_a day_n certain_o these_o warning_n be_v give_v that_o we_o may_v take_v heed_n that_o no_o man_n deceive_v we_o and_o be_v the_o premise_n consider_v as_o it_o will_v be_v profitable_a to_o all_o christian_n so_o particular_o to_o christian_a magistrate_n for_o their_o help_n and_o direction_n in_o observe_v the_o forementioned_a counsel_n in_o every_o part_n of_o they_o for_o be_v not_o the_o heart_n haughty_a or_o the_o eye_n lofty_a lift_v up_o and_o transport_v with_o the_o apprehension_n and_o desire_n of_o set_v christ_n on_o his_o throne_n which_o be_v a_o thing_n do_v already_o by_o the_o father_n or_o of_o lay_v the_o whole_a administration_n of_o government_n upon_o his_o shoulder_n which_o be_v a_o thing_n they_o be_v whole_o uncapable_a of_o neither_o be_v it_o require_v of_o they_o or_o like_a thing_n they_o will_v then_o be_v content_v and_o better_o qualify_v to_o exercise_v themselves_o in_o thing_n within_o their_o compass_n and_o may_v do_v many_o thing_n for_o the_o good_a of_o the_o nation_n and_o people_n under_o their_o authority_n which_o either_o they_o slight_a and_o neglect_v as_o thing_n too_o mean_v or_o too_o much_o beneath_o their_o spirit_n and_o apprehension_n as_o to_o the_o work_n they_o aim_v at_o and_o propose_v to_o themselves_o or_o else_o they_o do_v refuse_v whatever_o appearance_n of_o legality_n and_o justice_n may_v be_v in_o it_o because_o it_o seem_v to_o cross_v or_o clash_v against_o such_o their_o apprehension_n and_o proposal_n to_o themselves_o of_o what_o they_o have_v to_o do_v i_o shall_v say_v no_o more_o to_o this_o nor_o to_o this_o point_n in_o which_o we_o have_v show_v what_o those_o thing_n be_v in_o general_n that_o be_v equal_o observe_v and_o do_v by_o those_o in_o authority_n will_v tend_v much_o to_o the_o believer_n enlargement_n and_o futherance_n in_o lead_v a_o quiet_a and_o peaceable_a life_n in_o all_o godliness_n and_o honesty_n 4._o we_o come_v now_o to_o the_o four_o and_o last_o consideration_n what_o that_o be_v that_o will_v especial_o furnish_v they_o to_o these_o thing_n and_o so_o be_v especial_o to_o be_v desire_v for_o they_o and_o that_o be_v wisdom_n in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n as_o declare_v in_o the_o gospel_n as_o now_o come_v forth_o to_o we_o to_o have_v the_o heart_n well_o season_v with_o the_o believe_v apprehension_n and_o taste_v of_o the_o sweetness_n of_o the_o infinite_a graciousness_n of_o god_n to_o man-ward_n as_o reveal_v in_o the_o face_n of_o christ_n bring_v salvation_n to_o all_o man_n according_a to_o the_o manifestation_n and_o capacity_n afford_v we_o this_o be_v that_o one_o thing_n of_o absolute_a necessity_n to_o we_o all_o without_o which_o our_o soul_n can_v be_v good_a or_o reconcile_v to_o god_n prov._n 19_o 2._o 1_o pet._n 1._o 22._o nor_o can_v we_o right_o worship_v god_n or_o serve_v he_o acceptable_o and_o profitable_o in_o our_o generation_n wherefore_o let_v we_o hold_v fast_o grace_n heb._n 12._o 28._o whereby_o we_o may_v serve_v god_n acceptable_o with_o
