shall_v thou_o be_v cast_v down_o when_o the_o earth_n whereupon_o thou_o tread_v shall_v be_v deliver_v into_o the_o glorious_a liberty_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o shall_v as_o a_o servant_n stand_v in_o the_o day_n of_o restitution_n but_o thou_o as_o a_o rebel_n shall_v be_v cast_v into_o utter_a darkness_n and_o shall_v not_o be_v so_o much_o as_o partaker_n of_o the_o deliverance_n of_o the_o creature_n but_o we_o also_o who_o have_v receive_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n godly_a in_o this_o description_n of_o the_o godly_a let_v we_o consider_v these_o three_o thing_n first_o that_o whatsoever_o grace_n we_o have_v we_o receive_v it_o second_o that_o grace_n we_o have_v receive_v be_v not_o full_a but_o in_o part_n for_o we_o have_v only_o receive_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o three_o that_o the_o first_o fruit_n which_o we_o have_v be_v sufficient_a pledge_n to_o we_o of_o the_o plenitude_n and_o fullness_n which_o afterward_o we_o shall_v receive_v the_o first_o of_o these_o learn_v we_o humility_n prayer_n what_o have_v thou_o o_o man_n which_o thou_o have_v not_o receive_v the_o lord_n dispense_v grace_n to_o every_o one_o according_a to_o his_o pleasure_n and_o we_o be_v but_o vessel_n fill_v and_o empty_v as_o he_o will_n second_o it_o learn_v we_o thankfulness_n whatsoever_o grace_n we_o have_v receive_v we_o shall_v return_v both_o the_o praise_n and_o the_o use_n of_o it_o to_o he_o who_o give_v it_o as_o the_o water_n by_o secret_a conduit_n come_v from_o the_o sea_n return_v again_o open_o into_o it_o through_o the_o troughe_n so_o that_o all_o man_n may_v see_v the_o return_v albeit_o they_o see_v not_o the_o come_n so_o that_o grace_n which_o the_o lord_n by_o his_o spirit_n secret_o convey_v to_o the_o godly_a do_v again_o public_o return_v unto_o he_o by_o praise_n and_o well_o do_v and_o three_o it_o do_v teach_v we_o diligence_n in_o prayer_n if_o we_o desire_v increase_v of_o grace_n we_o shall_v seek_v it_o from_o he_o of_o who_o we_o have_v the_o beginning_n and_o use_v all_o the_o mean_n such_o as_o hear_n read_v pray_v keep_v of_o a_o good_a conscience_n by_o which_o grace_n may_v grow_v and_o be_v entertain_v in_o us._n the_o next_o thing_n we_o observe_v be_v now_o that_o in_o this_o life_n we_o receive_v not_o the_o plenitude_n and_o fullness_n of_o grace_n but_o only_o the_o first_o fruit_n thereof_o the_o use_n of_o this_o be_v first_o to_o comfort_v the_o child_n of_o god_n who_o be_v oftentimes_o discourage_v with_o the_o sense_n and_o feel_n of_o their_o own_o want_n it_o be_v one_o of_o satan_n stratagem_n to_o try_v those_o by_o the_o rule_n of_o perfection_n who_o be_v yet_o but_o in_o the_o state_n of_o proficient_o beginning_n and_o we_o have_v need_v to_o beware_v of_o it_o shall_v i_o give_v that_o vantage_n
perish_a thing_n in_o great_a wisdom_n and_o love_n towards_o we_o gift_n as_o he_o see_v may_v be_v best_a for_o us._n certain_o we_o ought_v so_o to_o rejoice_v in_o that_o great_a gift_n the_o lord_n jesus_n who_o the_o father_n have_v give_v we_o and_o in_o who_o he_o have_v bless_v we_o with_o all_o spiritual_a blessing_n that_o we_o take_v no_o thought_n for_o any_o other_o thing_n whatsoever_o which_o he_o have_v think_v expedient_a to_o hold_v from_o us._n oh_o that_o we_o can_v give_v unto_o the_o lord_n this_o glory_n as_o to_o say_v without_o grudge_v o_o lord_n jesus_n i_o can_v want_n nothing_o see_v i_o have_v thou_o to_o be_v my_o portion_n and_o further_o see_v all_o these_o thing_n be_v dispense_v and_o give_v by_o god_n blessing_n let_v we_o as_o i_o say_v in_o our_o calling_n above_o all_o thing_n seek_v his_o blessing_n adam_n may_v make_v himself_o a_o garment_n but_o it_o shall_v not_o cover_v his_o nakedness_n jonas_n may_v build_v himself_o a_o booth_n but_o it_o shall_v not_o defend_v he_o from_o the_o heat_n of_o the_o sun_n peter_n fish_v all_o night_n and_o he_o profit_v nothing_o till_o jesus_n speak_v the_o word_n 2._o though_o we_o rise_v early_o and_o lie_v down_o late_o and_o eat_v the_o bread_n of_o sorrow_n yet_o shall_v we_o labour_v in_o vain_a unless_o the_o lord_n give_v the_o blessing_n let_v we_o therefore_o so_o use_v the_o mean_n that_o with_o they_o we_o join_v prayer_n moderate_v our_o care_n let_v we_o commit_v the_o success_n to_o the_o lord_n it_o be_v true_a that_o religion_n allow_v not_o carelessness_n yea_o by_o the_o contrary_a it_o command_v we_o to_o be_v careful_a for_o those_o who_o god_n have_v commit_v unto_o we_o 8._o if_o any_o man_n care_v not_o for_o his_o household_n he_o be_v worse_a than_o a_o infidel_n this_o be_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d a_o moderate_a foresee_v of_o thing_n which_o be_v needful_a care_n but_o there_o be_v a_o unlawful_a care_n the_o daughter_n of_o distrust_n whereby_o man_n be_v carry_v either_o beyond_o lawful_a mean_n or_o else_o if_o the_o mean_n be_v lawful_a beyond_o the_o measure_n of_o a_o temperate_a affection_n as_o though_o a_o man_n have_v not_o a_o father_n in_o heaven_n to_o care_n for_o he_o or_o be_v able_a to_o compass_v thing_n by_o his_o own_o wit_n this_o care_n be_v not_o unprofitable_a only_o but_o full_a of_o many_o perturbation_n for_o which_o our_o saviour_n compare_v it_o to_o thorn_n which_o be_v most_o easy_o govern_v when_o they_o be_v most_o light_o touch_v where_o as_o he_o who_o gripe_v they_o hardly_o involve_v they_o and_o make_v they_o more_o perplex_v and_o hurt_v himself_o also_o our_o saviour_n correct_v martha_n for_o too_o much_o care_n of_o the_o worldly_a part_n 41._o join_v these_o two_o thou_o be_v careful_a about_o many_o thing_n and_o be_v trouble_v tell_v we_o that_o which_o we_o find_v in_o experience_n that_o many_o worldly_a care_n breed_v many_o trouble_n let_v we_o walk_v therefore_o in_o the_o right_a way_n use_v the_o mean_n in_o soberness_n let_v we_o cast_v our_o care_n on_o the_o lord_n last_o of_o all_o he_o it_o be_v to_o be_v mark_v here_o that_o the_o annex_v unto_o it_o other_o gift_n without_o christ_n have_v a_o show_n of_o comfort_n but_o render_v no_o solid_a comfort_n in_o the_o end_n they_o shall_v be_v deceive_v at_o length_n who_o glory_v in_o other_o thing_n be_v they_o never_o so_o excellent_a while_o as_o they_o be_v stranger_n from_o christ._n when_o god_n say_v to_o abraham_n fear_v not_o i_o be_o thy_o buckler_n 1._o and_o thy_o exceed_a great_a reward_n not_o consider_v what_o the_o lord_n offer_v to_o he_o he_o answer_v in_o his_o weakness_n 2._o o_o lord_n what_o can_v thou_o give_v i_o see_v i_o go_v childless_a even_o he_o who_o be_v the_o father_n of_o the_o faithful_a can_v not_o conceive_v how_o great_a good_a god_n promise_v to_o he_o when_o he_o promise_v himself_o to_o be_v his_o reward_n and_o therefore_o let_v we_o suspect_v our_o weakness_n that_o it_o carry_v we_o not_o into_o the_o like_a error_n watch_n over_o our_o own_o heart_n that_o they_o be_v not_o set_v upon_o god_n secondary_a gift_n more_o than_o upon_o himself_o albeit_o the_o lord_n shall_v give_v we_o pleasant_a canaan_n for_o a_o inheritance_n and_o multiply_v our_o posterity_n as_o the_o star_n of_o heaven_n yet_o will_v the_o chief_a of_o all_o sinner_n 15._o and_o the_o least_o of_o all_o saint_n yea_o indeed_o the_o same_o be_v he_o 9_o but_o mark_v such_o a_o one_o he_o be_v indeed_o but_o have_v get_v mercy_n and_o therefore_o now_o like_o a_o man_n relieve_v of_o a_o heavy_a burden_n which_o before_o oppress_v he_o he_o rejoice_v and_o triumph_n certain_o no_o great_a comfort_n can_v come_v to_o man_n than_o to_o feel_v his_o sin_n forgive_v he_o this_o only_a cause_v true_a rejoice_v see_v this_o in_o david_n as_o long_o as_o the_o burden_n of_o his_o sin_n lie_v upon_o his_o conscience_n it_o press_v out_o the_o very_a natural_a moisture_n of_o his_o body_n he_o have_v no_o rest_n night_n nor_o day_n but_o from_o the_o time_n that_o once_o nathan_n proclaim_v to_o he_o remission_n and_o that_o in_o his_o own_o conscience_n he_o feel_v his_o sin_n forgive_v he_o than_o he_o cry_v out_o 1._o o_o bless_a be_v the_o man_n who_o wickedness_n be_v forgive_v who_o sin_n be_v cover_v and_o unto_o who_o the_o lord_n impute_v not_o his_o iniquity_n 25._o as_o he_o that_o lie_v sick_a six_o and_o thirty_o year_n of_o the_o palsy_n arise_v with_o great_a joy_n when_o jesus_n relieve_v he_o 8._o and_o he_o that_o be_v a_o creple_n when_o he_o find_v that_o his_o foot_n which_o have_v fail_v he_o so_o long_o do_v not_o serve_v he_o leap_v for_o joy_n and_o follow_v the_o apostle_n into_o the_o temple_n to_o praise_n god_n so_o that_o soul_n which_o find_v itself_o free_v from_o the_o guiltiness_n and_o servitude_n of_o sin_n of_o all_o burden_n that_o ever_o lie_v upon_o man_n the_o heavy_a to_o bear_v will_v with_o much_o more_o abundant_a joy_n exult_v and_o triumph_v in_o that_o mercy_n of_o god_n which_o have_v make_v it_o free_a second_o sinner_n let_v the_o apostle_n here_o stand_v unto_o we_o as_o a_o example_n of_o the_o like_a mercy_n of_o god_n to_o be_v show_v upon_o ourselves_o how_o great_a sinner_n soever_o we_o have_v be_v if_o we_o follow_v he_o in_o the_o like_a faith_n and_o repentance_n the_o lord_n our_o god_n be_v not_o content_a by_o his_o word_n to_o promise_v mercy_n unto_o penitent_a â—inners_n but_o also_o confirm_v we_o by_o the_o example_n of_o his_o manifold_a mercy_n show_v to_o other_o before_o we_o when_o we_o look_v upon_o they_o let_v our_o weakness_n be_v strengthen_v let_v we_o not_o think_v that_o the_o lord_n
