his_o body_n rest_v more_o upon_o the_o left_a leg_n not_o steadfast_a and_o firm_a as_o some_o stand_n which_o seem_v to_o be_v nail_v to_o the_o place_n but_o with_o a_o readiness_n and_o nimbleness_n as_o though_o he_o be_v to_o perform_v some_o feat_n of_o activity_n and_o in_o this_o sort_n let_v they_o stand_v both_o to_o strike_v and_o to_o defend_v themselves_o now_o when_o the_o master_n have_v place_v his_o scholar_n in_o this_o sort_n and_o that_o the_o scholar_n have_v receive_v his_o rapier_n into_o his_o hand_n let_v he_o make_v his_o hand_n free_a and_o at_o liberty_n not_o by_o force_n of_o the_o arm_n but_o by_o the_o nimble_a and_o ready_a move_n of_o the_o joint_n of_o the_o wriste_n of_o the_o hand_n so_o that_o his_o hand_n be_v free_a and_o at_o liberty_n from_o his_o body_n and_o that_o the_o ward_n of_o his_o hand_n be_v direct_o against_o his_o right_a knee_n and_o let_v the_o teacher_n also_o put_v himself_o in_o the_o same_o ward_n and_o hold_v his_o rapier_n against_o the_o midst_n of_o his_o scholar_n rapier_n so_o that_o the_o point_n be_v direct_o against_o the_o face_n of_o his_o scholar_n and_o likewise_o his_o scholar_n against_o he_o and_o let_v their_o foot_n be_v right_a one_o against_o another_o then_o shall_v the_o master_n begin_v to_o teach_v he_o move_v his_o right_a foot_n somewhat_o on_o the_o right_a side_n in_o circle_n themselves_o that_o they_o be_v not_o hurt_v then_o to_o make_v the_o scholar_n more_o ready_a the_o teacher_n shall_v cause_v his_o scholar_n first_o to_o part_n wherefore_o he_o shall_v remove_v with_o his_o right_a foot_n on_o the_o right_a side_n a_o little_a in_o circle_n wise_a as_o the_o master_n do_v before_o to_o the_o scholar_n l._n what_o then_o must_v the_o master_n or_o teacher_n observe_v the_o same_o time_n in_o go_v back_o as_o the_o teacher_n shall_v to_o the_o end_n that_o his_o point_n may_v be_v towards_o the_o belly_n of_o his_o master_n and_o let_v he_o lift_v up_o counter-time_n to_o the_o teacher_n but_o only_o to_o the_o face_n and_o then_o the_o master_n shall_v go_v back_o with_o his_o right_a foot_n towards_o the_o left_a side_n of_o his_o scholar_n in_o break_v with_o his_o left_a hand_n the_o say_a imbroccata_n outward_a from_o the_o left_a side_n and_o shall_v strike_v a_o downright_a blow_n to_o his_o head_n because_o that_o by_o beat_v aside_o his_o foot_n towards_o the_o body_n of_o his_o master_n and_o let_v the_o midst_n of_o his_o left_a foot_n direct_o respect_v the_o heel_n of_o the_o right_n and_o let_v he_o turn_v his_o body_n measure_n and_o time_n he_o shall_v teach_v he_o to_o give_v a_o mandritta_o and_o to_o know_v when_o the_o time_n serve_v for_o it_o l._n what_o i_o pray_v you_o can_v every_o one_o of_o himself_o without_o teach_v give_v a_o mandritta_o v._o yes_o every_o man_n can_v strike_v but_o everye_o man_n have_v not_o the_o skill_n to_o strike_v especial_o with_o measure_n and_o to_o make_v it_o cut_v and_o hereupon_o you_o shall_v see_v many_o which_o oftentimes_o will_v strike_v and_o hit_v with_o the_o flat_a of_o their_o rapier_n without_o hurt_v or_o wound_v the_o adversarye_n and_o likewise_o with_o great_a nimbleness_n and_o agilitye_n of_o body_n for_o to_o tell_v the_o truth_n i_o will_v not_o advise_v any_o friend_n of_o i_o if_o he_o be_v to_o fight_v for_o his_o credit_n and_o life_n
