conclude_v that_o justification_n be_v promise_v not_o as_o a_o part_n of_o the_o covenant_n but_o as_o a_o mean_n to_o entitle_v we_o unto_o sanctification_n so_o that_o not_o only_o the_o promise_n of_o faith_n but_o of_o remission_n also_o shall_v be_v exclude_v from_o be_v a_o part_n of_o the_o covenant_n 2_o the_o promise_n of_o a_o new_a heart_n include_v not_o only_o the_o first_o act_n of_o faith_n and_o repentance_n but_o the_o continuance_n and_o increase_n of_o these_o gift_n so_o that_o either_o he_o must_v say_v that_o all_o the_o promise_n of_o sanctification_n which_o be_v include_v therein_o be_v no_o part_n of_o the_o covenant_n or_o that_o the_o same_o promise_n be_v both_o a_o mean_n to_o bring_v we_o into_o covenant_n and_o a_o part_n of_o the_o covenant_n i._n e._n it_o be_v a_o part_n and_o no_o part_n i_o must_v confess_v that_o i_o never_o yet_o meet_v with_o that_o man_n who_o have_v the_o forehead_n to_o deny_v that_o the_o promise_n of_o faith_n and_o repentance_n be_v a_o part_n of_o the_o new_a covenant_n 3_o it_o seem_v to_o i_o a_o undeniable_a truth_n that_o the_o promise_n of_o sanctification_n as_o well_o as_o of_o justification_n be_v part_n of_o the_o covenant_n consider_v 1_o that_o they_o have_v the_o same_o ground_n and_o foundation_n to_o wit_n the_o merit_n and_o purchase_v of_o jesus_n christ_n christ_n have_v merit_v faith_n and_o repentance_n no_o less_o than_o remission_n of_o sin_n now_o whatsoever_o christ_n have_v purchase_v the_o covenant_n promise_v all_o the_o effect_n of_o his_o death_n be_v equal_o part_n of_o the_o new_a covenant_n 2_o both_o these_o promise_n have_v the_o same_o end_n and_o design_n viz._n the_o glory_n of_o god_n faith_n and_o repentance_n be_v not_o promise_v only_o subservient_o for_o our_o benefit_n but_o ultimate_o for_o the_o praise_n of_o his_o glory_n tit._n 2.14_o 1_o thes._n 4.3_o 3_o they_o be_v promise_v in_o the_o same_o manner_n as_o distinct_a and_o not_o as_o subordinate_a benefit_n he_o do_v not_o say_v i_o will_v write_v my_o law_n in_o their_o heart_n that_o i_o may_v pardon_v their_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n but_o i_o will_v write_v my_o law_n
