have_v we_o of_o folly_n then_o of_o the_o idolatry_n and_o superstitious_a worship_n that_o the_o oracle_n of_o their_o day_n have_v decree_v the_o apostle_n rom._n 1.21_o speak_v excellent_o to_o this_o purpose_n profess_v themselves_o wise_a they_o become_v fool_n for_o their_o foolish_a heart_n be_v darken_v and_o wherein_o be_v this_o see_v in_o turn_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o invisible_a may_v be_v demonstrate_v of_o the_o grecian_n and_o roman_n while_o applaud_v for_o the_o wise_a man_n of_o the_o world_n how_o absurd_a and_o foolish_a be_v they_o in_o their_o worship_n insomuch_o that_o socrates_n be_v call_v a_o atheist_n mere_o because_o he_o deride_v their_o many_o god_n and_o austin_n relate_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o excellent_a discourse_n which_o seneca_n have_v against_o the_o idolatry_n and_o superstition_n than_o in_o use_n though_o that_o tractate_n be_v not_o now_o among_o his_o work_n but_o these_o be_v heathen_n and_o so_o no_o wonder_n if_o we_o shall_v find_v even_o in_o the_o church_n of_o god_n when_o man_n have_v follow_v their_o humane_a wisdom_n in_o prescribe_v the_o worship_n of_o god_n by_o that_o they_o become_v vain_a and_o ridiculous_a witness_v all_o that_o heap_n of_o foolish_a and_o superstitious_a ceremony_n which_o popery_n bring_v into_o the_o church_n by_o degree_n that_o as_o the_o ridiculous_a deformity_n of_o a_o ape_n lie_v in_o imitate_v or_o be_v like_o a_o man_n and_o yet_o not_o a_o man_n so_o the_o absurd_a folly_n of_o all_o that_o superstitious_a worship_n do_v appear_v in_o the_o affectation_n of_o religion_n and_o devotion_n when_o indeed_o it_o be_v not_o so_o now_o this_o great_a folly_n of_o idolatry_n the_o scripture_n do_v often_o aggravate_v they_o have_v eye_n and_o see_v not_o etc._n etc._n and_o they_o that_o make_v they_o be_v like_a unto_o they_o they_o be_v even_o such_o stupid_a idol_n as_o their_o idol_n be_v and_o what_o holy_a derision_n do_v the_o prophet_n eliah_n
