sell_v as_o also_o of_o two_o shilling_n upon_o each_o pint_n of_o aquavity_n and_o strong_a water_n browen_n or_o make_v of_o malt_n to_o be_v vend_v and_o sell_v within_o the_o kingdom_n and_o likewise_o a_o additional_a excise_n of_o two_o shilling_n upon_o each_o pint_n of_o aquavity_n &_o strong_a water_n browen_n not_o make_v of_o malt_n except_v what_o be_v make_v of_o wine_n which_o excise_n be_v to_o be_v pay_v in_o manner_n follow_v viz._n for_o the_o first_o two_o month_n of_o june_n &_o july_n upon_o the_o first_o of_o august_n next_o 1693_o and_o thereafter_o quarterly_a during_o the_o space_n of_o twenty_o three_o month_n commence_v from_o the_o first_o day_n of_o june_n next_o and_o end_v the_o first_o day_n of_o may_n 1695_o for_o make_v of_o the_o which_o offer_v effectual_a their_o majesty_n with_o advice_n and_o consent_n of_o the_o say_a estate_n of_o parliament_n do_v hereby_o impose_v and_o ordain_v the_o foresay_a additional_a excise_n of_o three_o penny_n upon_o the_o pint_n of_o ale_n and_o beer_n and_o two_o shilling_n on_o the_o pint_n of_o aquavity_n and_o strong_a water_n make_v of_o malt_n or_o otherwise_o as_o aforesaid_a to_o be_v raise_v and_o uplift_v from_o all_o brewer_n of_o the_o say_a liquor_n browen_n and_o make_v to_o be_v vend_v and_o sell_v as_o say_v be_v for_o the_o say_a space_n of_o twenty_o three_o month_n and_o for_o the_o raise_v order_v and_o inbringing_a thereof_o they_o do_v hereby_o appoint_v and_o authorize_v the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o new_a supply_n nominat_fw-la and_o appointed_n in_o another_o act_n of_o this_o present_a session_n of_o parliament_n to_o be_v commissioner_n of_o excise_n for_o the_o several_a shire_n for_o the_o end_n foresay_a and_o the_o royal_a burgh_n to_o have_v the_o same_o number_n of_o commissioner_n as_o be_v appoint_v by_o the_o fourteen_o act_n of_o the_o parliament_n one_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o sixty_o &_o one_o impower_v they_o full_o for_o that_o effect_n conform_v to_o the_o rule_n and_o order_n former_o enact_v for_o raise_v and_o in_o bring_v the_o foresay_a annex_v excise_n as_o also_o to_o set_v down_o and_o cause_n observe_v such_o other_o rule_n as_o they_o shall_v judge_v necessary_a agreeable_a always_o to_o the_o act_n of_o parliament_n already_o make_v about_o the_o foresay_a former_a excise_n and_o to_o the_o effect_n that_o abuse_v in_o this_o matter_n may_v be_v prevent_v their_o majesty_n with_o consent_n foresay_a do_v hereby_o declare_v and_o enact_v that_o if_o any_o brewer_n in_o use_n to_o brew_n for_o sale_n and_o change_n shall_v give_v over_o brew_v after_o the_o date_n of_o this_o act_n without_o a_o allowance_n in_o write_v from_o the_o say_a commissioner_n of_o excise_n for_o good_a and_o see_v cause_n the_o say_a brewer_n shall_v not_o be_v permirt_v to_o brew_n for_o change_n for_o the_o space_n of_o five_o year_n thereafter_o but_o shall_v be_v and_o be_v hereby_o discharge_v and_o render_v incapable_a to_o do_v the_o same_o as_o likewise_o it_o be_v hereby_o statute_n and_o ordain_v that_o no_o person_n whatsoever_o who_o have_v not_o be_v in_o use_n to_o brew_n for_o the_o service_n of_o themselves_o and_o their_o family_n in_o time_n bypass_a shall_v presume_v to_o brew_n after_o the_o first_o of_o june_n next_o for_o their_o own_o and_o their_o family_n use_v and_o if_o they_o contraveen_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v liable_a in_o payment_n of_o excise_n for_o what_o they_o shall_v brew_n and_o their_o majesty_n with_o consent_n foresay_a do_v ordain_v the_o first_o diet_n of_o meet_v of_o the_o say_n commissioner_n to_o be_v as_o follow_v viz._n for_o these_o shire_n on_o this_o side_n of_o the_o river_n of_o tay_n upon_o the_o sixteenth_o day_n of_o may_n instant_n and_o for_o the_o shire_n be-north_n tay_n upon_o the_o twenty_o three_o day_n of_o may._n and_o grant_v warrand_n to_o the_o sheriff_n and_o stewart_n of_o the_o several_a shire_n and_o stewartry_n and_o their_o clerk_n to_o conveen_n the_o said_n commissioner_n to_o that_o effect_n with_o power_n to_o they_o thereafter_o to_o appoint_v their_o own_o conveener_n and_o subsequent_a diet_n of_o meet_v and_o it_o be_v hereby_o declare_v that_o if_o any_o tacksman_n or_o collector_n or_o other_o person_n shall_v exact_v any_o thing_n over_o and_o above_o his_o excise_n for_o the_o discharge_v thereof_o or_o for_o the_o discharge_v of_o any_o other_o public_a due_n whatsoever_o it_o shall_v be_v repute_n as_o oppression_n and_o punish_v according_o by_o the_o said_n commissioner_n who_o be_v hereby_o impower_v to_o proceed_v against_o the_o person_n guilty_a and_o their_o majesty_n with_o advice_n and_o consent_n foresay_a do_v authorize_v and_o empower_v the_o
