let_v we_o consider_v what_o be_v truth_n and_o the_o end_n of_o a_o assertory_n oath_n truth_n be_v proper_a to_o intellectual_a and_o reasonable_a creature_n and_o be_v either_o the_o apprehension_n of_o intelligible_a being_n as_o god_n a_o law_n the_o soul_n time_n etc._n etc._n which_o can_v never_o be_v the_o object_n of_o sense_n and_o of_o the_o cause_n and_o consequence_n of_o intention_n speech_n and_o action_n for_o sense_n be_v not_o of_o futurity_n but_o of_o present_a thing_n and_o action_n the_o consequence_n or_o inference_n will_v be_v whether_o good_a or_o bad_a just_a or_o unjust_a etc._n etc._n however_o all_o intelligible_a being_n and_o the_o cause_n of_o thing_n and_o action_n be_v ever_o assume_v not_o swear_v to_o and_o if_o another_o do_v not_o nor_o will_v assent_v to_o they_o swear_v to_o the_o truth_n of_o they_o will_v be_v to_o no_o purpose_n so_o it_o be_v of_o the_o consequence_n of_o speech_n and_o action_n if_o another_o be_v not_o convince_v from_o the_o reason_n of_o such_o consequence_n or_o inference_n swear_v it_o to_o be_v so_o will_v never_o do_v it_o but_o though_o sensible_a thing_n speech_n and_o action_n
