precept_n must_v go_v before_o obedience_n to_o this_o and_o that_o a_o man_n may_v not_o rely_v on_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n for_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o he_o be_v most_o ordinary_o to_o be_v find_v among_o unregenerate_a and_o even_o the_o very_o worst_a of_o man_n and_o therefore_o how_o can_v it_o be_v otherwise_o than_o that_o that_o act_n of_o faith_n must_v needs_o have_v a_o hand_n in_o justify_v and_o the_o special_a hand_n too_o which_o distinguish_v it_o from_o that_o which_o be_v to_o be_v find_v in_o such_o person_n and_o i_o add_v what_o good_a forgiveness_n of_o sin_n shall_v be_v the_o only_a act_n which_o justify_v a_o sinner_n when_o such_o a_o multitude_n of_o plain_a text_n assure_v we_o that_o he_o die_v also_o to_o make_v we_o holy_a righteous_a it_o be_v not_o possible_a that_o any_o other_o notion_n of_o this_o doctrine_n shall_v have_v truth_n in_o it_o for_o as_o from_o thence_o it_o appear_v that_o there_o can_v be_v no_o such_o imputation_n of_o christ_n righteousness_n offer_v in_o the_o gospel_n as_o serve_v to_o make_v man_n remiss_a in_o their_o prosecution_n of_o a_o inward_a righteousness_n so_o be_v it_o manifest_v likewise_o that_o that_o doctrine_n be_v design_v for_o a_o motive_n to_o quicken_v and_o excite_v man_n in_o their_o endeavour_n after_o such_o a_o righteousness_n as_o this_o be_v so_o far_o be_v it_o from_o tend_v to_o cause_n in_o we_o a_o undervalue_a and_o slight_a esteem_n of_o it_o that_o as_o sure_a as_o that_o the_o ultimate_a design_n of_o christianity_n be_v to_o endue_v kindness_n for_o they_o and_o to_o believe_v they_o of_o a_o high_a than_o humane_a original_a and_o therefore_o those_o which_o give_v the_o most_o honourable_a account_n of_o god_n his_o nature_n and_o deal_v with_o the_o son_n of_o man_n that_o most_o magnify_v his_o grace_n and_o best_a vindicate_v his_o holiness_n justice_n and_o goodness_n do_v commend_v themselves_o to_o our_o belief_n
