portion_n of_o scripture_n more_o fit_a for_o our_o purpose_n or_o that_o be_v more_o suitable_a to_o he_o and_o we_o i_o e._n that_o can_v more_o apt_o serve_v to_o describe_v he_o and_o instruct_v ourselves_o nor_o have_v i_o know_v any_o person_n to_o have_v leave_v the_o world_n within_o my_o time_n to_o who_o this_o text_n of_o scripture_n may_v more_o fit_o be_v apply_v i_o shall_v only_o observe_v and_o insist_v upon_o these_o two_o head_n of_o discourse_n from_o it_o the_o character_n of_o such_o a_o servant_n and_o the_o treatment_n which_o he_o find_v at_o last_o from_o his_o heavenly_a master_n first_o his_o character_n he_o be_v say_v to_o have_v do_v well_o or_o it_o be_v say_v to_o he_o â—_o well_o no_o more_o be_v there_o in_o the_o greek_a text._n and_o then_o he_o be_v further_a bespeak_v as_o a_o good_a and_o faithful_a servant_n more_o general_o and_o particular_o his_o fidelity_n be_v commend_v in_o reference_n to_o the_o special_a trust_n and_o charge_v which_o be_v imply_v to_o have_v be_v commit_v to_o he_o thou_o have_v be_v faithful_a in_o a_o few_o thing_n i_o have_v not_o overcharge_v thou_o and_o thou_o have_v acceptable_o discharge_v thyself_o some_o think_v this_o and_o the_o whole_a parable_n to_o belong_v only_o to_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o servant_n of_o christ_n in_o that_o special_a sense_n i_o do_v not_o more_o certain_a account_n than_o as_o here_o we_o have_v it_o from_o his_o mouth_n who_o employ_v he_o be_v his_o constant_a supervisor_n must_v be_v his_o final_a judge_n and_o will_v be_v his_o bountiful_a rewarder_n at_o length_n we_o shall_v here_o in_o open_v his_o character_n note_v first_o some_o thing_n lead_v and_o introductive_a or_o that_o belong_v to_o his_o entrance_n into_o this_o service_n and_o second_o some_o thing_n that_o belong_v to_o his_o performance_n afterward_o first_o for_o the_o introductive_a suppose_a part_n of_o his_o character_n he_o be_v 1._o one_o that_o have_v disclaim_v all_o former_a and_o other_o master_n all_o in_o coordination_n for_o of_o such_o no_o man_n can_v serve_v two_o other_o lord_n have_v dominion_n over_o he_o but_o by_o their_o usurpation_n and_o his_o unjust_a consent_n who_o be_v not_o his_o own_o and_o have_v no_o right_a to_o dispose_v of_o himself_o the_o faithful_a servant_n repent_v and_o retract_v those_o former_a engagement_n as_o bond_n of_o iniquity_n by_o which_o he_o will_v be_v no_o long_o hold_v renounce_v any_o former_a inconsistent_a master_n or_o service_n a_o true_o subordinate_a master_n he_o must_v own_o for_o the_o same_o reason_n upon_o which_o he_o acknowledge_v the_o supreme_a and_o do_v all_o that_o such_o derive_v authority_n challenge_n by_o his_o direction_n who_o give_v it_o otherwise_o he_o have_v learned_a to_o call_v no_o man_n master_n on_o earth_n 2._o he_o be_v one_o that_o have_v by_o covenant_n surrender_v and_o resign_v himself_o to_o this_o great_a lord_n and_o his_o service_n some_o relation_n have_v their_o foundation_n in_o nature_n this_o of_o servant_n to_o a_o master_n we_o except_v slave_n in_o their_o consent_n or_o in_o mutual_a contract_n and_o tho'_o this_o general_a relation_n between_o god_n and_o man_n have_v the_o most_o deep_o natural_a foundation_n imaginable_a whereupon_o all_o be_v his_o servant_n yet_o the_o special_a relation_n must_v have_v the_o other_o ground_n viz._n that_o of_o consent_n or_o contract_v superad_v not_o to_o give_v god_n a_o right_n to_o our_o service_n but_o more_o express_o and_o effectual_o to_o oblige_v ourselves_o to_o it_o and_o that_o we_o may_v have_v a_o right_n to_o his_o reward_n it_o be_v but_o acknowledge_v and_o recognise_v his_o former_a right_n in_o we_o which_o be_v part_n and_o the_o initial_a part_n of_o our_o duty_n to_o he_o he_o require_v and_o just_o insist_o upon_o it_o to_o be_v acknowledge_v as_o our_o only_a rightful_a lord_n which_o till_o we_o do_v we_o be_v in_o
