and_o there_o the_o battle_n of_o the_o great_a god_n be_v to_o be_v fight_v between_o christ_n the_o prince_n of_o peace_n and_o the_o old_a dragon_n the_o prince_n of_o darkness_n now_o as_o christ_n the_o lamb_n of_o god_n come_v to_o take_v away_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o world_n and_o to_o lead_v his_o soldier_n forth_o he_o arm_v they_o with_o the_o whole_a armour_n of_o light_n in_o patience_n meekness_n humility_n chastity_n soberness_n and_o gentleness_n love_n and_o tenderness_n content_v in_o the_o will_n of_o god_n tosuffer_v all_o thing_n with_o cheerfulness_n so_o it_o may_v tend_v to_o his_o glory_n now_o these_o be_v they_o which_o be_v to_o make_v war_n in_o righteousness_n against_o the_o principality_n and_o power_n of_o darkness_n in_o high_a place_n at_o who_o appearance_n all_o flesh_n shall_v tremble_v and_o all_o heart_n shall_v be_v astonish_v for_o fearfulness_n shall_v surprise_v the_o hypocrite_n now_o as_o christ_n appear_v prepare_v to_o battle_n and_o have_v arm_v his_o soldier_n with_o those_o weapon_n aforementioned_a so_o likewise_o the_o dragon_n he_o arm_v his_o soldier_n with_o his_o armour_n which_o be_v the_o whole_a armour_n of_o darkness_n which_o consist_v in_o hatred_n and_o malice_n envy_n and_o persecution_n pride_n hastiness_n and_o highmindedness_a oppression_n and_o tyranny_n covetousness_n and_o drunkenness_n lie_v and_o swear_v defraud_v and_o deceit_n wantonness_n and_o whoredom_n and_o many_o other_o wicked_a weapon_n which_o the_o light_n will_v make_v manifest_a to_o they_o that_o abide_v faithful_a in_o it_o now_o let_v every_o one_o in_o particular_a come_v to_o a_o honest_a search_n in_o your_o own_o heart_n and_o examine_v yourselves_o without_o deceit_n and_o see_v who_o banner_n you_o be_v march_v under_o and_o who_o armour_n you_o wear_v for_o it_o be_v but_o vain_a for_o any_o man_n to_o deceive_v himself_o any_o long_o for_o look_v who_o armour_n thou_o bear_v his_o soldier_n thou_o be_v and_o his_o wage_n thou_o must_v look_v to_o receive_v for_o if_o thou_o live_v in_o sin_n and_o wickedness_n thou_o be_v a_o servant_n to_o sin_n and_o the_o wage_n of_o sin_n thou_o must_v therefore_o be_o i_o out_o of_o the_o tenderness_n of_o my_o soul_n and_o in_o bowel_n of_o compassion_n towards_o thou_o move_v to_o warn_v thou_o and_o to_o advise_v thou_o in_o dear_a and_o tender_a love_n to_o the_o oppress_a seed_n in_o thou_o which_o groan_v to_o be_v set_v at_o liberty_n now_o the_o desire_n of_o my_o heart_n be_v that_o thou_o shall_v awake_v out_o of_o death_n and_o come_v unto_o christ_n the_o light_n that_o he_o may_v give_v thou_o life_n and_o to_o cast_v off_o every_o weight_n and_o burden_n and_o the_o sin_n that_o so_o eaâ—â—ly_o beset_v thou_o and_o that_o thou_o shall_v put_v off_o the_o armour_n of_o darkness_n and_o put_v on_o the_o armour_n of_o light_n for_o assure_o there_o be_v nothing_o that_o make_v a_o separation_n between_o thou_o and_o thy_o god_n but_o sin_n but_o now_o herein_o stand_v the_o wonderful_a love_n of_o god_n towards_o the_o fall_a son_n and_o daughter_n of_o man_n who_o be_v dead_a in_o sin_n and_o trespass_n and_o altogether_o in_o darkness_n without_o any_o mean_n or_o hope_n of_o recovery_n in_o themselves_o now_o the_o lord_n behold_v poor_a distress_a man_n in_o this_o state_n whereinto_o the_o prince_n of_o darkness_n have_v captivate_v he_o out_o of_o the_o tenderness_n of_o his_o compassion_n unto_o the_o poor_a distress_a son_n and_o daughter_n of_o man_n he_o give_v his_o only_a beget_v son_n into_o the_o world_n for_o a_o light_n and_o to_o every_o man_n and_o woman_n which_o be_v bear_v upon_o the_o face_n of_o the_o whole_a earth_n have_v the_o lord_n in_o mercy_n give_v a_o measure_n of_o this_o true_a light_n which_o have_v enlighten_v every_o one_o which_o come_v into_o the_o world_n in_o which_o light_n stand_v the_o power_n of_o god_n and_o in_o this_o light_a man_n come_v to_o see_v his_o sin_n and_o to_o see_v the_o deceit_n of_o his_o own_o heart_n which_o otherwise_o he_o can_v not_o have_v see_v and_o though_o thou_o be_v unacquainted_a with_o it_o yet_o that_o be_v it_o that_o let_v thou_o see_v the_o act_n of_o the_o prince_n of_o darkness_n in_o thou_o for_o if_o he_o plot_v in_o thou_o any_o mischievous_a intent_n whereby_o to_o destroy_v any_o man_n person_n or_o estate_n and_o so_o endeavour_v to_o make_v thou_o a_o instrument_n whereby_o he_o may_v do_v it_o secret_o in_o the_o dark_a and_o although_o no_o eye_n of_o man_n can_v see_v thou_o nor_o see_v his_o secret_a act_n in_o thou_o yet_o this_o light_n will_v follow_v thou_o and_o discover_v his_o subtle_a delusion_n unto_o thou_o and_o make_v he_o many_o time_n appear_v odious_a unto_o thou_o and_o call_v thou_o and_o invite_v thou_o from_o follow_v of_o he_o and_o many_o time_n bring_v fearfulness_n and_o dread_a upon_o thou_o for_o thy_o wicked_a action_n now_o this_o be_v that_o that_o will_v redeem_v thou_o out_o of_o sin_n which_o save_v all_o they_o that_o believe_v in_o and_o follow_v the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o true_a light_n of_o the_o world_n out_o of_o sin_n and_o death_n which_o be_v the_o wage_n thereof_o now_o it_o be_v but_o vain_a for_o thou_o or_o any_o other_o to_o call_v christ_n thy_o redeemer_n and_o thy_o saviour_n and_o to_o say_v that_o thou_o hope_v to_o be_v save_v by_o christ_n after_o thy_o death_n because_o he_o be_v crucify_v at_o jerusalem_n sixteen_o hundred_o year_n ago_o and_o yet_o thou_o live_v in_o sin_n and_o wickedness_n in_o pride_n and_o vainglory_n of_o this_o world_n which_o pass_v away_o as_o a_o vapour_n of_o the_o night_n afore_o the_o morning_n sun_n but_o for_o all_o this_o let_v i_o tell_v thou_o plain_o without_o deceit_n nevertheless_o for_o all_o thy_o high_a conceit_n of_o thyself_o and_o for_o all_o thy_o vain_a hope_n and_o thy_o feign_a faith_n thy_o hope_n be_v the_o hope_n of_o the_o hypocrite_n which_o will_v perish_v in_o the_o time_n of_o trial_n and_o thy_o feign_a faith_n can_v give_v thou_o victory_n over_o the_o world_n therefore_o if_o ever_o thou_o come_v to_o witness_v redemption_n to_o thy_o soul_n thou_o must_v witness_v christ_n death_n to_o kill_v sin_n in_o thy_o mortal_a body_n and_o thou_o must_v witness_v his_o resurrection_n in_o thou_o and_o as_o for_o his_o suffering_n at_o jerusalem_n i_o own_o according_a to_o the_o declaration_n of_o the_o scripture_n but_o thou_o must_v witness_v he_o near_o to_o thou_o then_o at_o jerusalem_n if_o ever_o thou_o witness_v he_o to_o be_v thy_o redeemer_n and_o the_o salvation_n of_o thy_o soul_n now_o let_v i_o reason_n with_o thou_o a_o little_a in_o coolness_n and_o moderation_n if_o christ_n be_v thy_o redeemer_n what_o be_v it_o that_o he_o have_v redeem_v thou_o out_o of_o see_v thou_o yet_o live_v in_o sin_n and_o in_o the_o pollution_n of_o the_o world_n and_o if_o he_o be_v thy_o saviour_n what_o have_v he_o save_v thou_o from_o see_v thou_o be_v yet_o in_o bondage_n to_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n therefore_o the_o sting_n of_o death_n be_v not_o yet_o take_v away_o while_o sin_n remain_v so_o thou_o can_v not_o call_v he_o thy_o redeemer_n in_o truth_n and_o righteousness_n unless_o thou_o can_v witness_v he_o to_o have_v redeem_v thou_o out_o of_o sin_n and_o transgression_n which_o be_v of_o the_o earth_n earthly_a in_o all_o mankind_n which_o be_v the_o first_o adam_n over_o who_o sin_n come_v to_o have_v the_o dominion_n whereby_o death_n come_v to_o reign_v over_o all_o mankind_n in_o that_o nature_n so_o now_o as_o the_o child_n of_o man_n come_v to_o be_v beget_v into_o christ_n the_o second_o adam_n and_o so_o bear_v of_o the_o new_a birth_n of_o righteousness_n they_o come_v to_o know_v what_o the_o immortal_a seed_n be_v whereunto_o the_o promise_n be_v yea_o and_o amen_o and_o come_v to_o witness_n christ_n to_o be_v the_o redeemer_n and_o saviour_n in_o deed_n and_o in_o truth_n and_o that_o his_o cross_n in_o they_o be_v the_o power_n of_o god_n unto_o salvation_n and_o they_o see_v as_o they_o abide_v faithful_a in_o that_o which_o cross_v their_o own_o fleshly_a will_n therein_o they_o come_v to_o see_v the_o power_n of_o god_n and_o as_o they_o stand_v steadfast_o faithful_a in_o it_o they_o come_v to_o see_v the_o power_n of_o light_n in_o they_o which_o be_v far_o strong_a than_o the_o power_n of_o darkness_n for_o they_o come_v to_o see_v victory_n in_o it_o over_o the_o devil_n &_o all_o his_o subtle_a delusion_n and_o over_o the_o flesh_n and_o all_o its_o lust_n and_o over_o the_o world_n and_o all_o the_o vanity_n thereof_o and_o as_o they_o abide_v in_o this_o power_n which_o be_v christ_n the_o light_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o power_n of_o god_n unto_o salvation_n and_o as_o they_o follow_v he_o faithful_o through_o all_o suffering_n and_o all_o the_o hatred_n and_o malice_n which_o arise_v against_o they_o in_o the_o child_n of_o darkness_n they_o will_v come_v to_o see_v he_o to_o trample_v down_o all_o his_o enemy_n in_o they_o and_o make_v they_o his_o footstool_n but_o as_o any_o man_n or_o woman_n go_v out_o of_o the_o cross_n wherein_o stand_v god_n power_n and_o let_v their_o own_o will_n rule_v in_o they_o than_o they_o go_v into_o the_o power_n of_o the_o prince_n of_o the_o air_n which_o rule_v in_o the_o child_n of_o disobedience_n who_o dominion_n whole_o stand_v in_o man_n corrupt_a and_o carnal_a will_n and_o then_o he_o lead_v they_o captive_a at_o his_o own_o pleasure_n and_o so_o as_o they_o stand_v in_o his_o dominion_n sin_n come_v to_o have_v power_n over_o such_o in_o all_o his_o motion_n and_o then_o come_v in_o complain_n and_o murmur_n against_o the_o lord_n who_o make_v they_o and_o so_o they_o come_v to_o cry_v out_o for_o want_n of_o power_n and_o because_o they_o can_v have_v power_n and_o victory_n over_o sin_n in_o their_o own_o will_n and_o in_o their_o own_o time_n which_o be_v the_o very_a ground_n wherein_o the_o power_n of_o sin_n stand_v then_o when_o they_o see_v they_o can_v have_v power_n over_o sin_n there_o which_o be_v impossible_a for_o any_o to_o attain_v to_o unless_o they_o come_v out_o of_o the_o power_n of_o their_o own_o will_n into_o that_o power_n which_o cross_v it_o then_o they_o come_v to_o plead_v for_o sin_n in_o themselves_o than_o they_o not_o have_v power_n over_o it_o there_o they_o inform_v all_o other_o that_o they_o can_v never_o have_v power_n over_o sin_n nor_o be_v set_v free_a from_o
come_v upon_o they_o if_o they_o still_o go_v on_o in_o their_o rebellion_n against_o the_o lord_n and_o as_o the_o lord_n have_v set_v the_o house_n of_o israel_n while_o they_o stand_v in_o his_o statute_n as_o a_o sign_n and_o as_o a_o wonder_n unto_o the_o nation_n round_o about_o they_o so_o now_o likewise_o he_o have_v set_v his_o prophet_n in_o who_o his_o seed_n be_v raise_v as_o sign_n and_o wonder_n to_o the_o house_n of_o israel_n because_o they_o be_v become_v a_o rebellious_a people_n but_o many_o of_o the_o prophet_n they_o murder_v wherein_o the_o same_o seed_n of_o the_o serpent_n that_o be_v in_o cain_n appear_v and_o some_o they_o cast_v into_o prison_n other_o they_o banish_v so_o that_o they_o provoke_v the_o holy_a one_o of_o israel_n to_o wrath_n so_o that_o he_o let_v loose_v the_o heathen_n against_o they_o and_o suffer_v they_o to_o destroy_v their_o land_n and_o to_o lay_v waste_v their_o fence_a city_n and_o to_o carry_v they_o away_o captive_n into_o strange_a land_n till_o he_o have_v humble_v they_o and_o bring_v they_o low_o then_o when_o they_o be_v in_o distress_n they_o call_v upon_o he_o &_o cry_v unto_o he_o in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o trouble_n and_o his_o ear_n be_v open_a to_o they_o and_o then_o he_o many_o time_n by_o his_o prophet_n come_v to_o reason_n with_o they_o and_o to_o lay_v open_a before_o they_o the_o many_o deliverance_n which_o he_o at_o sundry_a time_n have_v wrought_v for_o they_o &_o of_o the_o largeness_n of_o his_o love_n towards_o they_o &_o yet_o how_o they_o have_v all_o along_o rebel_v against_o he_o and_o turn_v his_o righteous_a law_n behind_o their_o back_n and_o not_o regard_v his_o reproof_n but_o yet_o when_o he_o by_o affliction_n have_v bring_v down_o the_o seed_n of_o the_o serpent_n so_o that_o they_o come_v low_a in_o heart_n and_o in_o mind_n to_o be_v humble_v towards_o he_o and_o to_o let_v the_o oppress_a seed_n in_o they_o to_o arise_v who_o sigh_n and_o groan_n be_v to_o the_o lord_n for_o who_o sake_n the_o lord_n bring_v back_o again_o their_o captivity_n and_o cause_v they_o to_o rest_v in_o their_o own_o land_n in_o peace_n and_o safety_n and_o when_o he_o have_v rule_v they_o many_o year_n by_o judge_n than_o they_o desire_v to_o have_v a_o king_n even_o as_o all_o the_o nation_n round_o about_o they_o have_v who_o be_v stranger_n to_o god_n and_o in_o this_o they_o provoke_v the_o holy_a one_o of_o israel_n but_o yet_o for_o his_o own_o seed_n sake_n he_o suffer_v all_o this_o and_o much_o more_o and_o give_v they_o a_o king_n in_o his_o wrath_n even_o saul_n the_o son_n of_o kish_n and_o anoint_a he_o with_o his_o own_o spirit_n that_o he_o may_v have_v understanding_n and_o wisdom_n to_o rule_v and_o govern_v they_o that_o they_o may_v walk_v humble_o in_o the_o statute_n of_o the_o lord_n but_o he_o himself_o soon_o disobey_v the_o voice_n of_o the_o lord_n when_o he_o be_v send_v to_o destroy_v the_o amalekite_n that_o he_o shall_v not_o spare_v old_a nor_o young_a but_o slay_v both_o man_n and_o woman_n infant_n and_o suckling_n ox_n and_o sheep_n camel_n and_o ass_n but_o see_v how_o the_o seed_n of_o the_o serpent_n arise_v in_o saul_n and_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n and_o cause_v he_o to_o disobey_v the_o command_n of_o god_n by_o spare_v agag_n the_o king_n of_o the_o amalekite_n alive_a and_o the_o best_a of_o the_o sheep_n and_o of_o the_o ox_n and_o of_o the_o fatling_n and_o of_o the_o lamb_n and_o all_o that_o be_v good_a and_o will_v not_o utter_o destroy_v they_o but_o every_o thing_n that_o be_v saul_n king_n over_o israel_n and_o he_o rend_v the_o kingdom_n from_o he_o because_o his_o pure_a seed_n come_v to_o be_v oppress_v in_o he_o and_o so_o as_o he_o give_v those_o people_n a_o king_n in_o his_o wrath_n he_o take_v he_o from_o they_o in_o his_o sore_a displeasure_n but_o then_o he_o send_v his_o servant_n samuel_n who_o he_o anoint_a to_o be_v a_o prophet_n unto_o the_o house_n of_o israel_n and_o send_v he_o unto_o saul_n to_o acquaint_v he_o that_o the_o lord_n have_v rend_v the_o kingdom_n from_o he_o and_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n depart_v from_o he_o and_o to_o come_v for_o the_o substance_n be_v and_o be_v christ_n for_o the_o seed_n of_o god_n be_v yet_o for_o all_o this_o oppress_v in_o they_o for_o they_o smite_v with_o the_o fist_n of_o wickedness_n and_o many_o time_n provoke_v the_o lord_n to_o wrath_n so_o that_o he_o destroy_v many_o of_o they_o and_o they_o cause_v he_o to_o say_v that_o though_o the_o number_n of_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n be_v in_o number_n as_o the_o sand_n on_o the_o sea_n shore_n yet_o shall_v there_o be_v but_o a_o remnant_n of_o they_o save_v which_o remnant_n be_v they_o in_o who_o the_o pure_a seed_n of_o god_n come_v to_o be_v raise_v up_o to_o bear_v rule_n and_o so_o they_o come_v faithful_o to_o believe_v in_o the_o promise_v of_o god_n and_o so_o by_o faith_n they_o
to_o a_o lose_a groat_n which_o can_v not_o be_v find_v till_o the_o woman_n have_v light_v the_o candle_n and_o sweep_v her_o house_n and_o he_o compare_v it_o to_o a_o certain_a lord_n who_o go_v into_o a_o far_a country_n who_o call_v his_o own_o servant_n and_o deliver_v unto_o they_o his_o good_n and_o unto_o one_o he_o give_v five_o talent_n and_o unto_o another_o two_o and_o unto_o another_o one_o talon_n to_o every_o man_n according_a to_o his_o several_a ability_n and_o straightway_n take_v his_o journey_n than_o he_o that_o have_v receive_v the_o five_o talent_n go_v and_o
