CXV LOrd not to us not unto us but unto thy name take Great glory for thy stedfast truth and for thy mercies sake verse 2 Wherefore should new the heath 〈◊〉 where is their God alone But our God's in the heav'ns he hath what ever he pleased done Their idols silver are and gold workes of mens hands they be They have mouths made but can not speak and eyes but they not see Of ears they have the shape but they hear not what men do tell They noses formed also have but there with cannot smell They hands have but they handle not and feet but cannot walk A throat they have but throgh it they can no way speak or talk To those vain things they are most like that in their wayes unjust Them make ev'n so is every one that into them doth trust verse 9 Trust thou O Israel in the Lord their help and shield that be verse 10 Trust in the Lord O A'rons house their help and shield is he verse 11 Ye that do fear the living Lord trust in the Lord alway He is their strong help and their shield that still upon him stay verse 12 The Lord of us hath mindfull been he sure will blesse us still He will blesse Israls house the house of Aaron blesse he will verse 13 He wil them blesse that fear the Lord and that both great and small verse 14 God shal increase you more more you and your children all verse 15 You all that have an upright heart are blessed of the Lord Which both the heav'n al 's the earth made by his mighty word verse 16 The heav'n ye ev'n the heav'ns above are all the Lords by right But to the sons of men he hath the earth giv'n by his might verse 17 The dead in grave can in no way praise give the Lord unto Nor any whatsoever that down into 〈◊〉 go But we the mighty Lord above will blesse with one accord â—om this time forth for evermore most gladly praise the Lord. XXXIII O In the LORD alwayes rejoice ye righteous in his sight For praise is comely for all those that are in heart upright verse 2 Praise ye the Lord now with the harpe with psaltrie to him sing And also with an instrument that hath a tenfold string verse 3 Unto him a new pleasant song sing with your heart and voice Play also now most skilfully with a loud sounding noice verse 4 For the good word of God the Loâ—â— is faithfull still and right And all his glorious workes in truth are done by his great might verse 5 He righteousnesse with all his heaâ—â— and judgement loveth still The goodnesse of the Lord our God the earth doth ever fill verse 6 By the word of the mighty Lorâ— the heav'ns created were And by the breath even of his moâ— their host all every where verse 7 He gathreth waters of the sea together as an heap And as in store houses also he layeth up the deep verse 8 Let all the earth now humbly fear the LORD and keep his law Let all the earths inhabitants still of him stand in aw verse 9 For he spake in his mighty power and it was done at last As he desir'd he did command and it alwayes stood fast verse 10 The Lord to noght the counsel brings which heathen men project The peoples vain devices all he makes of none effect verse 11 The counsell of the Lord doth stand for ever free of fall Yea of his heart the thoughts shal last to generations all verse 12 Blest is the nation whose GOD is the LORD them to advance And people whom he chosen hath for his inheritance verse 13 The Lord from heav'n that is above down looketh with his eye He all the sons of men below most clearly thence doth see verse 14 From of his habitation high the place that doth excell He looketh down on those alwayes that on the earth do dwell verse 15 He fashioneth also all their heaâ—â— alike both great and small Their works al 's whether good or 〈◊〉 he them considreth all verse 16 There is no king whom of an hâ— the multitude can save And by much strength a mighty maâ— can no deliv'rance have verse 17 For mans safety a thing most 〈◊〉 an horse is seen at length Not any he deliver shall by his great power and strength verse 18 Behold the Lords eye ever is upon them that him fear Ev'n on them still that do alwayes hope in his mercy heer verse 19 For to deliver safe their soul even from the jawes of death And al 's to keep them safe alive in famine free of wrath verse 20 Our soul still alwayes for the LORD waits till he comfort send In dangers all he is our help and shield us to defend verse 21 For in him gladly shall our heart rejoice without all blame Because we surely trusted have in his most holy name verse 22 Let thy mercy O gracious LORD upon us ever be According as with all our heart we still do hope in thee PSAL. XXXIV AT all times I will surely blesse the LORD so good to me His worthy praise within my mouth continually shall be verse 2 My soul shall alwayes in the LORD her boast make surely heere The humble shall in heart be glade when they thereof shall hear verse 3 O magnifie alwayes with me the LORD of glorious fame And let us altogether now exalt his holy name verse 4 I sought the Lord with all my heâ— and he my sute did hear And he anone deliv'red me from all that I did fear verse 5 They looked unto him with speâ— and lightned were by grace In all their troubles great was not ashamed once their face verse 6 This poor man to the Lord did â— who heard when he did call And by his mighty arme him sav'd out of his troubles all verse 7 The Angel of the mighty LORD encampeth round about Them that him fear and he themâ— delivreth in or out verse 8 O taste and see now that the Lord is good in every part Most blessed is the man that doth trust in him with his heart verse 9 O fear the Lord all ye who are his saints that serve him heer For sure there is no want to them that truely him do fear verse 10 The Lions young do often lack and hungry want their food But they that humblie seek the Lord shall want nothing that 's good verse 11 Come hither children unto me and to my words give ear I will you teach that ye may know how ye the Lord should fear verse 12 What man is he that doth desire his life heer long to be And also loveth many dayes that so he good may see verse 13 From ill thy tongue keep with thy lips from speaking guile eshew verse 14 Depart from evill and doe gooâ— seeke peace and it pursue verse 15 The eyes of God are fix'd upon the righteous by and by His eares also in troubles great are open to their cry verse 16 The face al 's of the LORD is ay against them that do ill For their remembrance from the earâ—â— all to cut off and spill verse 17 The
haste shall sing verse 2 Thou fairer then mens children aâ— grace is now from on hie Powr'd in thy lips therefore the Lorâ— hath blest for ever thee verse 3 O thou that art most mighty now thy sword gird on thy thigh With glory that is thine alwayes and al 's thy Majestie verse 4 For truth meeknesse righteousneâ— ride thou now prosperously And thy right hand theÌ„ shal thee teaâ— things terrible that be verse 5 Thine arrows sharp are in the heart of the kings enmies all Whereby the people under thee with great contempt do fall verse 6 For ever and for ever is O GOD thy throne of might The scepter of thy kingdome all is still a scepter right verse 7 Thou hates ill loves righteousnesâ— therefore God thee in love Annointed hath with oil of joy thy fellows all above verse 8 Of aloes myrrhe and cassia thy robs to smell are made Out of the yvory palaces whereby they made thee glad verse 9 Among thy women honour'd much kings daughters were the queen On thy right hand did richly stand in gold of Ophir fine verse 10 Hear daughter and consider well and al 's incline thine ear Thy people and thy fathers house forget though nev'r so dear verse 11 So shall thy beautie by the king desired greatly be Therefore see that thou worship him for thy great LORD is he verse 12 The daughters al 's of Tyre shall be there with a gift right great The rich among the people all thy favour shall entreat verse 13 The daughter of the king within with beauties manifold Is glorious all her clothing is wrought of the finest gold verse 14 She shall be brought unto the kinâ— in robes of needle work Her Virgins shall be brought to thee her following at the back verse 15 They shal be brought with gladneâ—â— greaâ— and al 's rejoicing all And in the Palace of the King they glorious enter shall verse 16 In stead ev'n of thy fathers dear shall be thy children now Whom thou well may'st great Prince maâ—â— in all the earth below verse 17 Thy name I 'll in all ages make remembred well to be Therefore for ever and for ay the people shall praise thee PSAL. XLVI TH' Almighty God is our refuge and strength by which we stanâ— In trouble and adversitie a present help at hand verse 2 Therefore we will not fear though that the earth removed be And though the mountaines carri'd all be in the deepest sea verse 3 Though thereof the great waters roar and troubled motions make Thogh with the swelling great thereof the mountains hudge do shake verse 4 A river is whose streams shall make Gods citie glade to be The Tabernacles holy place of him who is most Hie. verse 5 God is ev'n in the midst of her she shall not moved be God in great mercy shall her help this early do shall he verse 6 The heathen rag'd the Kingdomes were all mov'd without delay His voice with such force uttred he the earth did melt away verse 7 The Lord of Hostes is still with us us to defend and judge The mightie GOD of Jacob is in danger our refuge verse 8 Come and behold what wondroâ— works the LORD to passe hath brought What desolations in the earth he in his wrath hath wrought verse 9 To the earths end he maketh wars to cease as men desire He breaks the bow and cuts the speâ— and chariots burns with fire verse 10 Be still and know that GOD I aâ— I will exalted be Among the heathen in the earth I 'le be exalted hie verse 11 The LORD of hosts is still with us to defend and judge The mighty God of Jacob is in danger our refuge PSALME XLVII O All ye people of the earth your hands clap and rejoice Shout unto GOD most chearfullie with a triumphing voice verse 2 For lo the LORD most High alwayes is terrible to see Ov'r all the kingdomes of the earth a great King sure is he verse 3 He wicked people under us his goodnesse for to shew Shall with the nations most profane under our feet subdue verse 4 He shall for our inheritance chuse which none shall remove Of Jacob the excellencie whom he did ever love verse 5 GOD with a shout of Majestie to be gone up is found The LORD is by his people heard ev'n with a Trumpets sound verse 6 To God sing praises with your heâ— unto him praises sing Sing praises both with heart and voicâ— sing praises to our King verse 7 For the great God of all the earth is only King and Lord All they that understanding have sing praise with one accord verse 8 God o're the heathen all doth reigâ— God highly sits upon Of his most perfect holinesse the fair and statelie throne verse 9 The Princes of the people all together as we see Are gathred even the people of Abrahams GOD most hie For certainely of all the earth the shields to God belong He greatly all the Sons of men exalted is among PSAL. XLIX HEar this all people and give eare that in the world doe dwell verse 2 Both low high both rich poor together weigh this well verse 3 My mouth shall speak of wisdome great and of my heart in me The meditation wholly shall of understanding be verse 4 Unto
they say who shall them see verse 6 They search out great iniquities a search accomplish they Most diligent their inward thoughts and hearts are deep alway verse 7 But God shall with an arrow swift shoot at them all therefore Then suddenly they by his might shall all be wounded sore verse 8 So they their own ill toÌ„gue shal make upon themselves to fall All that them in their folies see away flee from them shall verse 9 Then all men tremble shal and fear and Gods work shall declare For wisely they consider shall of all his doings rare verse 10 The righteous in the LORD shal be most glade and in him trust And all those glory shall who are in heart upright and just PSALME LXV PRaise waits for thee in Sion LORâ— vowes to thee pay'd shall be verse 2 O thou that hearest prayer still all flesh shall come to thee verse 3 Iniquities do still prevaile against me every day As for those our trangressions all thou shalt them purge away verse 4 Blest is the man whom thou alway dost chose and causest well T' approach to thee that in thy courts he may in safety dwell We with the goodnesse of thy house well satisfi'd shall be Ev'n of thy temple which indeed is holy as we see verse 5 By things that are most terrible thou in thy righteousnesse O GOD of our salvation us wilt answere in distresse Who art of the ends of the earth the confidence alone And of all them that a faire off the deep sea are upon verse 6 Which by his streÌ„gth most wonderful the mountaines high doth set Most fast alwayes and girded is with power alwayes great verse 7 Which of the seas the noise doth stil the noise both great and small Of all their waves the tumult al 's even of the people all verse 8 They that dwell in the utmost parts still at thy tokens quake Both Even and Morns outgoins all thou to rejoice dost make verse 9 The earth thou visit'st in a drought and it thou wattrest still Thou greatly it enrichest with GOD'S flood of water full For them in their necessitie good come thou dost prepare When thou hast so provided well even for it every where verse 10 Its ridges thou aboundantly dost water with thine hand Thou setlest also stedfastly the furrowes of the land Thou in thy favour mak'st it soft with showres that timely fall Thou blessest also graciouslie the springing thereof all verse 11 Thou with thy goodnesse liberally the fertile yeer dost crown And where thou walkest all thy path much fatnesse still drop down verse 12 They drop upon the pastures of the wildernesse most wide And then anone the little hills rejoice on every side verse 13 The pastures richly clothed are with flocks that plenty bring The valleys cov'red are with corne they shout for joy they sing PSAL. LXVI YEE lands all thankfully to GOD a joyfull noise now raise verse 2 Sing foorth the honour of his Name and glorious make his praise verse 3 Say unto GOD how terrible art thou in works most great Throgh thy great power shal all thy foes themselves to thee submit verse 4 Heer all the earths inhabitants shall worship to thee bring And to thee shall sing joyfully they to thy Name shall sing verse 5 Come and see of the mightie GOD the works done now and then He in his doing terrible is to the sons of men verse 6 Into dry land he turn'd the sea they who were then his choise On foot went through the flood we did there in him rejoice verse 7 He by his power for ever rules his eyes the nations see Let not those that rebellious are exalt themselves to hie verse 8 O blesse our God most heartilie ye people by him spar'd And of his praise make gloriouslie the voice for to be heard verse 9 Which holdeth by his might our soâ— in life as we may see And suffreth not our feet at all once moved for to be verse 10 For thou O GOD most neerly haâ— us prov'd at thy desire Thou hast in all things tryed us as silver 's tryde by fire verse 11 Into the trapping net thou us didst bring even as a prey And thou affliction of great weight upon our loins didst lay verse 12 Men thou hast causd ride ov'r oâ— headâ— we went with great disgrace Throgh fire and water but thou brougâ—â— us to a wealthy place verse 13 I will now go into thine house with burnt offerings alway I will most chearfully my vows at this time to thee pay verse 14 Which my lips in my great distresse have utt'red thee before And which my mouth hath spoken al 's when I was troubled sore verse 15 Of fatlings sacrifices burnt I offer will to thee With th'incense of rams bullocks goats shall offred be by me verse 16 Now come all ye that fear the Lord to hear your hearts prepare And what he hath done for my soul I will to you declare verse 17 Most fervently still unto him I with my mouth did cry And he also was with my tongue extolled by and by verse 18 If I a man profane in heart regard iniquitie God when my prayer I powre out will not give ear to me verse 19 But God in mercy verily hath heard me by and by He of my prayer attended hath unto the voice and cry verse 20 O blest be God which hath not turâ— my prayer now away Nor yet his mercy wonderfull from me in any way PSAL. LXVII GOD unto us be mercifull and blesse us with his grace And cause alwayes to shine on us his bright and glorious face verse 2 That thy good way upon the earth to all men may be known And al 's among the nations all thy saving health be shown verse 3 Thee let the people praise O GOD let them all praise thee so verse 4 O let the Nations still be glad and sing for joy also For thou the people righteously shalt judge by thy good will And all the Nations on the earth shalt govern wisely still verse 5 O God thee let the people praise thee praise ev'n let them all verse 6 Then shal the earth her increase yeeld and our God blesse us shall verse 7 God in his mercy surely shall us blesse both far and neere And al 's the ends of all the earth with reverence shall him fear PSAL. LXVIII LEt God arise his enmies all let them now scatt'red be Let them also that do him hate with fear before him flee verse 2 As smoak is driv'n drive them away as wax doth melt with fire Let wicked men at Gods presence so perish in his ire verse 3 But let the righteous men be glad let them rejoice greatlie Before the LORD yea let them all rejoice exceedinglie verse 4 Sing unto God praise ye his name extoll him with your voice That rides on heav'n by his Naâ— JAâ— before him still rejoice verse 5 A Father of the fatherlesse and of the

CXXXIII BEhold how good a thing it is and pleasant for to see That brethren should together dwell in peace and unitie verse 2 Like precious ointment on the heaâ— that on the beard did fall Ev'n Aarons beard that to the skirts went of his garments all â—'n Aarons beard who was a man by GOD almighty sent â—â—t down from thence unto the skirts of all his garments went â—ike Hermons dew like dew which down the Zions hills ran o're â— there the blessing God ordain'd ev'n life for evermore PSAL. CXXXIV â—Ehold and blesse the Lord all ye that serve the LORD aright â—â—ich in the house of God the Lord to serve him stand by night Your hands lift in the Sanctuary and bless the Lord in this The Lord that made the heav'n and earth thee out of Zion blesse PSAL. CXXXV â—Raise ye the Lord praise ye also his Name with one accord â—â—aise him with heart and voice O ye the servants of the Lord. Ye that in the house of the Lord to serve him always stand Ev'n in the fair courts of the house of our God in the land verse 3 Praise ye the Lord for he is good most hearty praises sing Unto his blessed Name alwayes for it 's a pleasant thing verse 4 For that the Lord unto himself hath of his own good pleasure Ev'n chosen Jacob and Isra'l for his peculiar treasure verse 5 For I know that assuredly the Lord is always great And that our God above all gods is in a glorious seat verse 6 What thing so ev'r the Lord did pleaâ— that in the heav'ns did he And in the earth in seas and all deep places that there be verse 7 He from the ends of all the earth makes vapours to ascend For raine he lightnings makes he doth winds from his treasures send verse 8 Who to great wrath provoked much by men of Egypt land Their first-born smot of man and beast with a destroying hand Who tokens sent wonders which in midst of thee did fall Egypt upon Pharaoh and on his servants all verse 10 Who in great wrath by his strong hand the Maker of all things â—not nations great with fearful plagus and al 's slew mighty kings verse 11 Sihon king of the Amorites and Og of Bashan strong â—nd all the kingdomes that were then the Cananits among verse 12 And for a pleasant heritage he with a liberall hand An heritage to Israel his people gave their land verse 13 For ever Lord thy Name endures and thy memoriall O Lord ev'n constantly throughoâ— the generations all verse 14 For sure the Lord his people alâ— will judge in favour still Concerning all his servants dear repent himself he will verse 15 The heathens idols silver gold works of mens hands they be verse 16 They have mouths but they do nâ— speaâ— and eyes but they not see verse 17 They have also their formed earâ— wherewith they cannot hear Nor yet doth any breath at all once in their mouthes appear verse 18 They that most foolish make the◠〈◊〉 like unto them at length Even so is every brutish one that trusteth in their strength verse 19 Blesse thou O house of Israel the LORD in ev'ry part O house of Aaron also blesse the LORD with all thy heart verse 20 O house of Levi blesse the Lord all ye both more and lesse That fear the Lord with all your heart the Lord for ever blesse verse 21 Out of Zion for evermore the Lord God blessed be Which dwelleth at Jerusalem the Lord always praise ye PSAL. 's he that unto mighty Kings salvation doth afford Who David his servant doth save ev'n from the hurtfull sword verse 11 Rid save me from childreÌ„ strange whose mouth speaks vanitie And their right hand a right hand is of falsehood verily verse 12 That our dear sons as plants grown up so in their youth may be Our daughters as drest corner stones ev'n like a palace hie verse 13 That full our garners may affoord all maner of store for meat â—ur sheep may bring foorth thousands and ten thousands in our street Our oxen be to labour strong that no in breaking be 〈◊〉 going out and that our streets of all complaints be free â—at people happy is that is in such a case restor'd 〈◊〉 happy is that people sure whose great God is the Lord. PSAL. CXLV O Thou who art my God King I will extoll thy fame â—â—r ever and for ever I will blesse thy holy Name Ev'n ev'ry day I live on earth I with thy saints together â—ill still thee blesse and praise I will thy Name for ever and ever Great is the Lord and greatly to be praisd by great and small And his excellent greatnesse is unsearchable to all verse 4 One generation still shall praise thy works unto another And clearly also shall declare thy mighty acts together verse 5 I of the glorious honour of thy divine Majestie Will alwayes speak and of thy wâ— that still most wondrous be verse 6 And of thy acts most terrible men shall speak of the might And I likewise thy greatnesse will declare with heart upright verse 7 They utter shall aboundantly of thy great goodnesse all The memorie of thy righteousneâ— most sweetly sing they shall verse 6 The LORD is gracious and full compassion ev'ry way To anger slow and also is of mercy great alway verse 9 The LORD his goodnes doth exâ— unto both great and small â—is tender mercies alwayes are his works ev'n over all Thy works al shal thee praise O Lord thy Saints shall blesse thee all Thy kingdoms glory tell shall they of thy might talk they shall To make known to the sons of men his acts that mighty be â—â—d of his kingdome excellent the glorious Majestie An everlasting kingdome is thy Kingdome firme and sure 〈◊〉 thy dominion always doth through ages all endure By his almighty hand the LORD upholdeth all that fall â—â—d those that low be bowed down up high he raiseth all The eyes of all things on the earth wait on thee as is meet â—â—d in due season always thou giv'st unto them their meat verse 16 Thy hand thou op'nest very wide great blessings for to bring And the desire dost satisfie of every living thing verse 17 The LORD is ever righteous still in all wayes that are his And also he in all his works most truely holy is verse 18 The LORD to all that call on him is nigh in ev'ry part Even to all those that on him call in truth with all their heart verse 19 The good desire he will fulfill of them that do him fear He will them save he also will their cry in trouble hear verse 20 The Lord preserves them who 〈…〉 that nothing them anoy But all the wicked in his wrath he surely will destroy verse 21 The praise of the Almighty Lorâ— my mouth shall still proclame And let all flesh for evermore still blesse his holy Name PSAL.
