have_v although_o of_o one_o sort_n we_o have_v none_o at_o all_o and_o can_v further_o hope_v likewise_o that_o if_o themselves_o have_v no_o mo_z than_o we_o their_o inward_a comfort_n shall_v be_v so_o much_o the_o great_a for_o if_o in_o the_o examination_n of_o they_o it_o shall_v fall_v out_o that_o they_o have_v no_o sufficient_a groundwork_n in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n as_o we_o be_v sure_a that_o they_o have_v there_o no_o warrant_n at_o all_o then_o be_v they_o but_o very_o cold_a and_o desperate_a comfort_n and_o never_o yield_v any_o sound_a comfort_n at_o al._n for_o though_o we_o be_v not_o in_o any_o doubt_n but_o that_o they_o be_v in_o other_o respect_n very_o ill_a as_o they_o be_v use_v by_o they_o yet_o now_o we_o say_v no_o more_o but_o this_o that_o all_o thing_n consider_v we_o find_v so_o little_a comfort_n in_o they_o that_o we_o need_v not_o think_v the_o want_n to_o be_v great_a now_o that_o we_o be_v without_o they_o nor_o that_o it_o be_v any_o great_a benefit_n for_o to_o obtain_v they_o government_n the_o benefit_n that_o in_o outward_a government_n we_o shall_v get_v thereby_o be_v no_o more_o than_o this_o that_o so_o we_o shall_v be_v under_o the_o government_n of_o the_o bishop_n of_o rome_n which_o how_o good_a it_o shall_v prove_v i_o be_o not_o able_a certain_o to_o say_v but_o if_o first_o we_o shall_v esteem_v thereof_o by_o reason_n we_o may_v very_o well_o doubt_n that_o no_o one_o man_n be_v able_a to_o govern_v we_o well_o that_o shall_v rule_v all_o the_o world_n beside_o notwithstanding_o all_o the_o under-magistrate_n obedience_n whether_o any_o thing_n may_v be_v say_v more_o hardly_o or_o not_o as_o yet_o i_o say_v not_o but_o sure_o thus_o much_o we_o may_v be_v bold_a to_o abide_v by_o that_o in_o comparison_n of_o the_o government_n under_o which_o we_o be_v now_o it_o be_v not_o very_o singular_a benefit_n to_o be_v holpen_v back_o to_o that_o other_o again_o so_o for_o aught_o that_o yet_o appear_v we_o can_v see_v that_o any_o great_a benefit_n can_v come_v unto_o we_o if_o we_o shall_v turn_v to_o their_o profession_n thereby_o 2_o what_o inconvenience_n may_v come_v thereby_o be_v a_o thing_n very_o hard_o to_o be_v full_o gather_v be_v so_o great_a and_o so_o divers_a withal_o as_o in_o our_o judgement_n it_o seem_v to_o be_v where_o first_o of_o all_o we_o can_v like_v that_o we_o shall_v be_v so_o much_o deprive_v of_o the_o scripture_n themselves_o as_o under_o they_o we_o be_v partly_o by_o the_o law_n that_o they_o make_v against_o such_o as_o shall_v read_v they_o otherwise_o than_o themselves_o think_v good_a and_o partly_o for_o that_o they_o do_v so_o much_o inhibit_v all_o translation_n in_o our_o vulgar_a tongue_n which_o one_o thing_n only_o we_o take_v to_o bode_n very_o much_o ill_a and_o whatsoever_o after_o ensue_v to_o come_v almost_o only_o of_o it_o for_o the_o inconvenience_n that_o we_o be_v persuade_v will_v come_v in_o thereby_o will_v be_v as_o we_o take_v it_o many_o and_o great_a some_o in_o matter_n of_o religion_n other_o as_o touch_v our_o civil_a estate_n here_o in_o this_o life_n religion_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n first_o we_o doubt_n that_o ourselves_o shall_v be_v much_o thereby_o corrupt_v and_o be_v occasion_n to_o many_o other_o to_o fall_v to_o the_o same_o corruption_n likewise_o then_o also_o that_o on_o the_o conscience_n of_o many_o there_o shall_v be_v lay_v over_o grievous_a burden_n ourselves_o may_v be_v corrupt_v by_o their_o profession_n two_o principal_a way_n in_o the_o estimation_n of_o god_n goodness_n to_o we_o and_o in_o the_o performance_n of_o our_o duty_n to_o he_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n towards_o we_o be_v infinite_a but_o now_o we_o have_v to_o enter_v no_o further_o into_o the_o consideration_n thereof_o than_o to_o this_o present_a purpose_n do_v appertain_v and_o that_o be_v only_o in_o these_o two_o thing_n first_o in_o the_o work_n of_o our_o redemption_n then_o in_o his_o providence_n towards_o we_o in_o other_o matter_n they_o in_o the_o work_n of_o our_o redemption_n christ_n have_v both_o satisfy_v for_o we_o to_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n and_o therewithal_o himself_o direct_v we_o towards_o the_o attain_n thereof_o in_o both_o these_o point_n we_o doubt_n very_o much_o that_o by_o join_v with_o they_o in_o their_o profession_n we_o shall_v be_v find_v blasphemous_a to_o god_n and_o very_o hurtful_a to_o our_o own_o soul_n health_n first_o in_o join_v and_o that_o no_o further_o than_o their selve_o do_v either_o the_o suffering_n or_o else_o the_o good_a work_n of_o any_o of_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n or_o on_o earth_n with_o the_o suffering_n and_o merit_n of_o christ_n then_o by_o help_v ourselves_o unto_o it_o by_o the_o mediation_n of_o angel_n or_o saint_n or_o by_o the_o doctrine_n of_o man_n on_o earth_n only_o so_o far_o as_o themselves_o do_v it_o and_o not_o seek_v the_o same_o alone_a by_o the_o mediation_n of_o christ_n and_o by_o the_o write_a word_n of_o god_n for_o we_o take_v the_o satisfaction_n of_o christ_n his_o mediation_n and_o word_n to_o be_v such_o as_o that_o no_o other_o satisfaction_n mediation_n or_o word_n can_v be_v find_v any_o thing_n meet_v to_o be_v so_o far_o match_v withal_o again_o we_o find_v not_o that_o the_o work_n of_o redemption_n that_o be_v wrought_v in_o christ_n be_v available_a to_o the_o salvation_n of_o any_o but_o only_o of_o those_o that_o so_o cleave_v unto_o it_o that_o they_o utter_o renounce_v all_o other_o help_v whatsoever_o they_o be_v in_o the_o former_a therefore_o we_o see_v not_o how_o it_o may_v be_v avoid_v but_o that_o needs_o we_o must_v be_v find_v to_o have_v do_v great_a dishonour_n to_o christ_n in_o the_o other_o we_o be_v persuade_v that_o we_o shall_v clean_o overthrow_v our_o own_o salvation_n concern_v the_o providence_n of_o god_n towards_o we_o in_o other_o matter_n providence_n their_o profession_n we_o fear_v will_v lead_v we_o somewhat_o aside_o and_o teach_v we_o to_o attribute_v many_o of_o those_o thing_n that_o fall_v out_o among_o we_o to_o some_o other_o than_o god_n alone_o sometime_o unto_o creature_n as_o the_o angel_n and_o saint_n in_o heaven_n or_o to_o the_o power_n of_o man_n on_o earth_n and_o sometime_o to_o a_o fiction_n of_o man_n devise_n as_o fate_n or_o fortune_n and_o although_o we_o willing_o grant_v that_o in_o divers_a of_o these_o they_o use_v such_o limitation_n withal_o that_o it_o seem_v they_o will_v be_v loath_a for_o to_o go_v overfar_a therein_o yet_o go_v but_o so_o far_o as_o they_o do_v in_o their_o common_a profession_n we_o see_v not_o how_o we_o can_v avoid_v it_o but_o that_o if_o we_o shall_v join_v with_o they_o therein_o we_o shall_v be_v far_o amiss_o persuade_v in_o
wherein_o although_o they_o can_v never_o be_v able_a either_o to_o condemn_v we_o or_o else_o but_o to_o justify_v themselves_o yet_o be_v it_o more_o than_o we_o need_v to_o give_v they_o and_o more_o than_o we_o think_v they_o use_v well_o when_o they_o have_v it_o therefore_o to_o conclude_v both_o these_o point_n as_o i_o say_v before_o so_o say_v i_o again_o that_o it_o be_v no_o marvel_n if_o divers_a of_o they_o think_v that_o join_v with_o we_o they_o shall_v utter_o depart_v from_o the_o church_n so_o long_o as_o they_o do_v wander_v so_o far_o both_o in_o determine_v what_o the_o church_n be_v and_o what_o it_o be_v to_o depart_v from_o the_o same_o 16_o for_o amendment_n whereof_o church_n it_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o good_a and_o a_o ready_a way_n more_o true_o to_o learn_v what_o the_o church_n be_v indeed_o and_o what_o be_v the_o undowt_v depart_v from_o it_o concern_v the_o former_a it_o shall_v be_v needful_a not_o only_o to_o consider_v what_o the_o church_n be_v in_o the_o whole_a but_o also_o what_o it_o be_v in_o the_o several_a part_n that_o be_v who_o be_v the_o true_a member_n thereof_o concern_v the_o whole_a there_o be_v a_o way_n which_o if_o we_o take_v we_o shall_v never_o be_v able_a plain_o to_o find_v out_o the_o thing_n that_o we_o seek_v &_o yet_o notwithstanding_o determine_v therein_o the_o very_a truth_n again_o there_o be_v a_o way_n which_o if_o we_o take_v we_o shall_v quik_o find_v that_o which_o be_v not_o only_o true_a in_o itself_o but_o also_o carry_v such_o a_o light_n with_o it_o as_o that_o easy_o we_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o perceive_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o thing_n that_o we_o have_v in_o hand_n sufficient_o the_o former_a of_o these_o be_v when_o as_o we_o go_v about_o to_o compass_v those_o thing_n that_o be_v beyond_o our_o reach_n and_o can_v come_v under_o our_o capacity_n as_o namely_o when_o we_o labour_v to_o find_v out_o the_o church_n in_o heaven_n either_o in_o the_o secret_a election_n of_o god_n or_o in_o the_o glory_n whereunto_o it_o shall_v come_v in_o the_o end_n or_o on_o earth_n by_o the_o largeness_n of_o the_o bound_n which_o it_o have_v be_v spread_v all_o over_o the_o face_n of_o the_o earth_n for_o though_o it_o be_v very_o true_a that_o that_o indeed_o be_v the_o true_a church_n which_o be_v choose_v from_o the_o beginning_n and_o which_o shall_v be_v glorify_v in_o the_o end_n yet_o be_v not_o we_o able_a by_o either_o of_o those_o to_o find_v out_o who_o they_o be_v for_o we_o can_v look_v into_o the_o secret_a purpose_n of_o god_n nor_o in_o the_o end_n itself_o espy_v the_o end_n before_o it_o come_v we_o must_v either_o have_v better_a token_n than_o these_o or_o else_o can_v we_o do_v no_o good_a at_o al._n so_o likewise_o the_o earth_n be_v so_o very_o large_a that_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o reach_v forth_o our_o knowledge_n unto_o the_o outmost_a bound_n thereof_o and_o so_o consequent_o can_v never_o see_v what_o faith_n it_o be_v that_o be_v there_o profess_a nor_o so_o much_o as_o whether_o there_o be_v any_o people_n at_o all_o that_o there_o inhabit_v if_o therefore_o we_o shall_v take_v such_o a_o course_n as_o that_o we_o can_v not_o in_o our_o conscience_n set_v down_o with_o ourselves_o that_o we_o know_v the_o church_n until_o we_o can_v get_v the_o view_n of_o the_o whole_a then_o can_v we_o never_o resolve_v ourselves_o to_o turn_v aside_o their_o adherent_n eye_n to_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n be_v such_o as_o for_o neerne_n and_o evident_a show_n that_o it_o have_v may_v easy_o come_v under_o our_o knowledge_n and_o for_o that_o many_o other_o hang_v thereupon_o carry_v a_o special_a credit_n withal_o howbeit_o although_o they_o have_v right_o espy_v the_o inconvenience_n on_o the_o one_o side_n yet_o have_v they_o not_o sufficient_o holpen_v the_o same_o on_o the_o other_o they_o see_v in_o deed_n what_o be_v the_o disease_n but_o the_o medicine_n that_o they_o give_v for_o the_o same_o will_v betwixt_o god_n and_o we_o to_o the_o purchase_n of_o aeternal_a redemption_n in_o he_o and_o to_o the_o attainment_n of_o the_o same_o our_o prophet_n to_o teach_v we_o whatsoever_o be_v expedient_a for_o we_o to_o know_v and_o our_o king_n under_o who_o we_o have_v to_o live_v until_o by_o his_o government_n he_o shall_v bring_v we_o thither_o out_o of_o which_o we_o may_v safe_o set_v down_o and_o that_o by_o the_o authority_n of_o christ_n himself_o who_o they_o be_v that_o may_v be_v account_v the_o church_n of_o god_n that_o be_v the_o universal_a assembly_n of_o those_o that_o
