his_o own_o work_n as_o god_n do_v from_o he_o let_v we_o labour_v therefore_o to_o enter_v into_o that_o rest_n and_o a_o little_a before_o v._o 4_o 5_o 6_o 7._o of_o the_o same_o chapter_n for_o sport_n etc._n etc._n other_o think_v it_o be_v no_o matter_n whether_o there_o be_v a_o sermon_n or_o no_o but_o they_o think_v they_o shall_v be_v long_o at_o morning_n and_o evening_n prayer_n that_o day_n than_o upon_o other_o day_n those_o who_o have_v any_o degree_n of_o sobriety_n in_o they_o judge_v that_o the_o great_a part_n of_o the_o day_n shall_v be_v spend_v in_o the_o public_a or_o private_a exercise_n of_o god_n worship_n but_o we_o be_v not_o so_o strict_o tie_v up_o as_o to_o abstinence_n from_o pleasure_n worldly_a labour_n vain_a or_o secular_a discourse_n i_o will_v for_o the_o present_n give_v they_o what_o i_o can_v grant_v they_o viz._n that_o the_o precept_n be_v not_o so_o strict_o to_o be_v expound_v yet_o i_o think_v reason_n be_v enough_o in_o the_o case_n to_o enforce_v what_o we_o plead_v for_o it_o may_v be_v christian_n thou_o be_v one_o of_o the_o latter_a sort_n a_o sober_a pâ—rson_n who_o do_v think_v that_o the_o great_a part_n of_o that_o day_n shall_v be_v spend_v in_o the_o solemn_a state_v act_n of_o worship_n but_o think_v the_o intermediate_v time_n may_v be_v more_o loose_o spend_v do_v but_o consider_v what_o a_o influence_n thy_o strict_a or_o loose_a spend_v of_o the_o intermediate_v time_n must_v necessary_o have_v upon_o thou_o 1._o in_o reference_n to_o thy_o act_n of_o worship_n 2._o in_o reference_n to_o the_o effect_n and_o fruit_n of_o that_o worship_n first_o i_o say_v in_o reference_n to_o thy_o act_n of_o worship_n if_o thou_o have_v any_o thing_n of_o the_o seriousness_n of_o a_o christian_a in_o thou_o thou_o will_v and_o must_v acknowledge_v that_o god_n must_v be_v serve_v with_o thy_o spirit_n and_o with_o the_o utmost_a ferventy_n of_o thy_o spirit_n without_o distraction_n without_o any_o coldness_n and_o deadness_n of_o spirit_n with_o life_n love_n delight_n in_o thy_o approach_n to_o god_n etc._n etc._n do_v thou_o think_v that_o all_o thy_o time_n before_o thy_o act_n of_o worship_n have_v not_o need_n be_v spend_v in_o read_v in_o holy_a meditation_n in_o read_v the_o word_n etc._n etc._n that_o when_o thou_o come_v to_o serve_v the_o lord_n
