salvation_n in_o christ._n in_o the_o sabbath_n if_o thou_o will_v perform_v thy_o duty_n well_o thou_o must_v 1._o begin_v with_o delight_n in_o it_o and_o all_o the_o service_n of_o god_n therein_o to_o be_v perform_v this_o be_v god_n condition_n of_o prosper_v israel_n that_o they_o shall_v call_v the_o sabbath_n a_o delight_n the_o carnal_a man_n for_o fear_n of_o humane_a law_n or_o censure_n rest_v from_o his_o ordinary_a work_n go_v to_o church_n join_v with_o the_o congregation_n in_o prayer_n 14._o hear_v etc._n etc._n but_o it_o be_v irksome_a to_o he_o he_o think_v the_o man_n from_o do_v all_o the_o good_a he_o can_v or_o show_v mercy_n to_o the_o distress_a whereas_o indeed_o he_o be_v a_o god_n of_o mercy_n &_o love_v the_o same_o in_o all_o those_o who_o bear_v his_o image_n but_o thou_o must_v not_o for_o gain_v do_v that_o which_o may_v equal_o be_v omit_v as_o bargain_v bear_v burden_n or_o other_o servile_a work_n or_o labour_n of_o thy_o call_n or_o travel_v except_o in_o case_n of_o necessity_n or_o subordination_n to_o a_o sabbath_n day_n work_n it_o be_v certain_o a_o ingrateful_a sacrilege_n to_o rob_v god_n of_o his_o own_o day_n service_n appoint_v for_o no_o necessity_n of_o he_o but_o only_o for_o our_o own_o good_a and_o salvation_n and_o to_o entrench_v on_o that_o which_o he_o have_v reserve_v to_o himself_o whereas_o he_o have_v allow_v man_n six_o day_n to_o do_v their_o work_n and_o take_v their_o lawful_a delight_n therein_o therefore_o he_o say_v as_o we_o must_v not_o on_o the_o sabbath_n do_v our_o own_o way_n so_o must_v not_o we_o find_v our_o own_o pleasure_n nor_o speak_v our_o own_o word_n it_o be_v a_o hateful_a robbery_n of_o god_n to_o use_v pastime_n on_o that_o day_n though_o lawful_a on_o other_o much_o worse_a those_o which_o be_v never_o lawful_a whereby_o the_o devil_n be_v more_o serve_v on_o that_o day_n than_o any_o other_o the_o many_o fearful_a judgement_n of_o god_n on_o offender_n profanation_n of_o the_o lord_n day_n 3._o do_v what_o good_a thou_o can_v to_o thyself_o in_o that_o which_o concern_v thy_o soul_n or_o thy_o body_n health_n and_o preservation_n in_o case_n of_o necessity_n or_o to_o other_o in_o the_o like_a at_o convenient_a time_n when_o the_o public_a or_o private_a worship_n of_o god_n require_v not_o thy_o attendance_n walk_v in_o the_o field_n or_o garden_n that_o thou_o may_v contemplate_v on_o god_n creature_n and_o his_o beneficence_n power_n providence_n and_o wisdom_n therein_o visit_v the_o sick_a and_o imprison_v if_o thou_o have_v ability_n and_o convenience_n of_o relieve_v or_o comfort_v they_o 4._o abstain_v from_o immoderate_a drink_n feed_v sleep_a and_o whatsoever_o else_o may_v render_v thou_o less_o apt_a for_o the_o sanctification_n of_o this_o day_n 5._o as_o all_o thy_o life_n thou_o must_v rest_v from_o sin_n so_o special_o on_o this_o day_n wherein_o the_o very_a sanctity_n of_o the_o time_n violate_v double_v the_o offence_n commit_v there_o when_o god_n special_o require_v the_o sanctimony_n and_o endeavour_n to_o learn_v his_o will_n and_o do_v not_o think_v it_o enough_o to_o rest_v from_o conversation_n in_o heaven_n and_o to_o begin_v thy_o rest_n and_o sabbath_n here_o which_o shall_v never_o end_v when_o the_o sabbath_n be_v end_v if_o thou_o can_v write_v down_o some_o principal_a head_n for_o direction_n or_o of_o comfort_n hear_v that_o day_n and_o by_o often_o peruse_v they_o commit_v all_o to_o memory_n however_o repeat_v to_o thyself_o if_o single_a or_o with_o thy_o
