good_a thing_n and_o patient_a in_o the_o toleration_n of_o evil_n for_o they_o shall_v inherit_v the_o earth_n earth_n be_v the_o fruit_n of_o the_o bless_a not_o this_o which_o beget_v thorn_n to_o give_v the_o blessing_n to_o those_o who_o be_v affect_v with_o bodily_a hunger_n and_o thirst_n but_o to_o those_o who_o have_v a_o hunger_a and_o thirst_v after_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o the_o doctrine_n of_o salvation_n righteousness_n they_o call_v that_o righteousness_n which_o be_v of_o they_o who_o without_o a_o worthy_a mind_n divide_v unto_o every_o man_n that_o which_o be_v equal_a as_o a_o judge_n who_o justify_v the_o just_a and_o condemn_v the_o guilty_a but_o matthew_n do_v not_o call_v this_o justice_n but_o that_o which_o be_v oppose_v to_o fraud_n and_o oppression_n moreover_o the_o keep_n of_o the_o commandment_n be_v call_v righteousness_n again_o all_o virtue_n in_o general_n be_v call_v righteousness_n our_o saviour_n also_o be_v call_v righteousness_n according_a to_o that_o which_o paul_n say_v that_o he_o be_v make_v for_o we_o righteousness_n and_o holiness_n for_o they_o shall_v be_v fill_v that_o be_v to_o say_v with_o unspeakable_a pleasure_n in_o the_o kingdom_n v._o bless_a be_v the_o merciful_a for_o they_o shall_v etc._n etc._n mercy_n be_v take_v in_o three_o several_a sense_n bodily_a as_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v give_v alm_n and_o shall_v aid_v the_o weak_a and_o fill_v the_o hungry_a mental_a as_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v love_v he_o who_o wrong_v he_o and_o shall_v forgive_v the_o injury_n of_o his_o enemy_n spiritual_a as_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v love_v those_o who_o be_v erroneous_a and_o shall_v convert_v they_o from_o the_o error_n of_o their_o way_n and_o shall_v instruct_v the_o ignorant_a and_o bring_v they_o to_o the_o lord_n and_o this_o be_v like_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n who_o always_o love_v the_o creature_n here_o he_o give_v the_o blessing_n not_o only_o to_o those_o who_o show_v mercy_n in_o deed_n but_o to_o those_o also_o who_o in_o the_o cogitation_n of_o their_o mind_n possess_v mercy_n merciful_a so_o he_o call_v they_o who_o have_v mercy_n on_o the_o poor_a and_o stranger_n and_o on_o offender_n and_o the_o guilty_a and_o those_o who_o have_v a_o good_a will_n to_o show_v mercy_n though_o it_o be_v not_o in_o their_o power_n to_o perform_v it_o and_o those_o who_o have_v mercy_n on_o themselves_o and_o be_v restrain_v from_o sin_n lest_o they_o shall_v enter_v into_o torment_n again_o those_o who_o have_v compassion_n with_o those_o who_o suffer_v and_o be_v grieve_v for_o those_o who_o grieve_v and_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o these_o be_v merciful_a because_o the_o trouble_n of_o mind_n which_o arise_v from_o the_o evil_n which_o afflict_v stranger_n be_v the_o extremity_n of_o mercy_n moreover_o that_o will_n abound_v with_o love_n which_o suffer_v with_o those_o who_o suffer_v for_o those_o thing_n which_o afflict_v they_o moreover_o mercy_n be_v principal_a among_o the_o virtue_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o derive_v its_o name_n from_o god_n himself_o who_o be_v true_o merciful_a moreover_o to_o have_v mercy_n on_o the_o good_a be_v the_o perfection_n of_o righteousness_n natural_a and_o legal_a vi_o bless_a be_v the_o pure_a in_o heart_n i._n e._n in_o their_o soul_n conscience_n and_o heart_n because_o they_o be_v free_v from_o all_o kind_n of_o evil_a and_o bitterness_n and_o rust_n of_o sin_n and_o he_o be_v pure_a of_o mind_n and_o pureness_n of_o body_n be_v to_o be_v cleanse_v with_o water_n and_o to_o be_v wash_v from_o turpitude_n and_o this_o also_o be_v commendable_a and_o it_o be_v fit_v that_o man_n shall_v be_v wash_v from_o filth_n but_o the_o blessing_n do_v not_o appertain_v to_o this_o but_o unto_o that_o of_o the_o soul_n because_o the_o saint_n and_o those_o which_o be_v pure_a appear_v so_o in_o soul_n and_o body_n by_o the_o proper_a pureness_n and_o cleanness_n of_o the_o soul_n for_o they_o shall_v see_v god_n but_o how_o say_v he_o unto_o moses_n no_o man_n can_v see_v i_o and_o live_v and_o john_n also_o no_o man_n see_v god_n at_o any_o time_n and_o paul_n no_o man_n ever_o see_v he_o we_o say_v that_o they_o say_v so_o concern_v the_o natural_a and_o hide_a vision_n of_o god_n for_o the_o nature_n of_o god_n such_o as_o it_o be_v personal_o transcend_v the_o comprehension_n of_o humane_a understanding_n and_o therefore_o they_o say_v that_o he_o be_v neither_o see_v nor_o comprehend_v therefore_o this_o that_o they_o shall_v see_v god_n have_v this_o meaning_n that_o he_o who_o be_v pure_a in_o heart_n participate_v of_o divine_a revelation_n and_o gain_v life_n uncorruptible_a and_o a_o kingdom_n for_o joy_n without_o cease_v and_o the_o light_n of_o truth_n be_v call_v the_o vision_n of_o god_n therefore_o he_o call_v vision_n a_o communion_n according_a to_o that_o the_o wicked_a shall_v be_v take_v away_o and_o shall_v not_o see_v glory_n which_o be_v that_o they_o shall_v not_o participate_v of_o glory_n moreover_o god_n create_v we_o after_o his_o image_n as_o the_o wax_n according_a to_o the_o likeness_n of_o the_o seal_n wherewith_o it_o be_v impress_v and_o brear_v its_o effigy_n but_o we_o by_o our_o wickedness_n have_v cover_v it_o as_o rust_n obscure_v iron_n for_o he_o who_o heart_n be_v pure_a from_o passion_n see_v in_o himself_o the_o image_n of_o divine_a nature_n as_o iron_n when_o it_o be_v polish_v from_o its_o dross_n yield_v splendour_n and_o brightness_n especial_o if_o it_o be_v bring_v to_o a_o clear_a sun_n shine_v let_v we_o therefore_o be_v pure_a in_o heart_n that_o we_o may_v be_v worthy_a of_o the_o blessing_n
