lethargy_n of_o carnal_a security_n and_o that_o scarce_o curable_a disease_n of_o a_o fear_a conscience_n and_o hardness_n of_o heart_n neither_o ought_v we_o to_o be_v any_o more_o discourage_v because_o god_n seem_v whole_o to_o defer_v the_o bestow_n of_o his_o reward_n upon_o those_o that_o serve_v he_o unto_o another_o life_n and_o because_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n godliness_n bring_v little_a gain_n and_o the_o service_n of_o god_n small_a profit_n in_o the_o world_n for_o suppose_v that_o this_o be_v so_o yet_o the_o riches_n and_o eternity_n of_o the_o reward_n will_n when_o it_o be_v bestow_v abundant_o recompense_v our_o short_a forbearance_n and_o therefore_o if_o the_o most_o covetous_a usurer_n can_v with_o patience_n forbear_v the_o sight_n and_o fruition_n of_o their_o gold_n which_o notwithstanding_o be_v that_o dearely-beloved_n idol_n upon_o which_o their_o heart_n be_v fix_v and_o can_v satisfy_v both_o their_o eye_n and_o mind_n with_o the_o sight_n and_o perusal_n of_o their_o bond_n which_o assure_v they_o that_o at_o the_o year_n end_n they_o shall_v receive_v it_o with_o some_o advantage_n though_o it_o be_v but_o ten_o in_o the_o hundred_o such_o a_o convenient_a competency_n as_o in_o his_o infinite_a wisdom_n he_o know_v to_o be_v fit_a for_o they_o and_o though_o he_o give_v not_o unto_o they_o such_o superfluity_n and_o abundance_n as_o many_o worldling_n do_v possess_v because_o he_o know_v that_o it_o will_v rather_o be_v a_o burden_n to_o press_v they_o down_o unto_o the_o earth_n than_o a_o benefit_n to_o further_o they_o in_o the_o way_n to_o heavenly_a happiness_n yet_o he_o give_v they_o sufficiency_n and_o contentation_n of_o mind_n which_o the_o other_o want_n in_o their_o great_a plenty_n beside_o all_o this_o from_o those_o that_o make_v profession_n of_o christianity_n and_o sincerity_n whether_o they_o be_v private_a person_n or_o public_a as_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o word_n and_o sacrament_n the_o first_o be_v that_o which_o be_v give_v by_o hypocrite_n who_o make_v profession_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n do_v in_o their_o life_n deny_v the_o power_n thereof_o fall_v into_o many_o gross_a and_o grievous_a sin_n especial_o such_o as_o be_v commit_v against_o the_o second_o table_n as_o unjustice_n and_o uncharitableness_n fraud_n and_o deceit_n cruelty_n and_o oppression_n pride_n and_o covetousness_n falsify_v of_o their_o covenant_n and_o promise_n and_o also_o by_o such_o as_o profess_v the_o truth_n in_o sincerity_n and_o uprightness_n of_o heart_n and_o yet_o through_o humane_a frailty_n and_o infirmity_n be_v sometime_o over-taken_v of_o these_o and_o such_o like_a sin_n both_o which_o cast_v before_o the_o foot_n of_o those_o who_o be_v unregenerate_a such_o stumble_a block_n of_o offence_n that_o they_o be_v thereby_o bring_v out_o of_o love_n with_o god_n true_a religion_n presume_v that_o there_o be_v little_a good_a in_o it_o when_o as_o they_o discern_v no_o better_a fruit_n of_o it_o in_o their_o life_n and_o so_o hate_v not_o only_o such_o professor_n but_o also_o their_o profession_n for_o their_o sake_n resolve_v with_o themselves_o that_o they_o will_v never_o be_v of_o their_o religion_n which_o be_v so_o disgrace_v in_o the_o world_n by_o the_o evil_a conversation_n of_o these_o seem_a forward_a man_n yea_o not_o only_o those_o which_o be_v without_o be_v whole_o hinder_v from_o enter_v into_o the_o course_n of_o christianity_n but_o those_o also_o that_o be_v already_o enter_v be_v hereby_o so_o discountenance_v and_o dishearten_v that_o they_o proceed_v in_o the_o way_n of_o godliness_n with_o much_o discomfort_n and_o discouragement_n for_o they_o be_v not_o only_o hinder_v from_o make_v any_o profession_n of_o religion_n more_o than_o other_o when_o they_o see_v it_o thus_o infamed_a lest_o hereby_o they_o may_v seem_v like_a unto_o they_o and_o so_o bring_v upon_o themselves_o the_o disgrace_n and_o reproach_n of_o hypocrite_n but_o also_o out_o of_o the_o same_o respect_n shun_v the_o practice_n of_o all_o christian_a duty_n which_o have_v at_o least_o any_o appearance_n of_o piety_n as_o hear_v the_o word_n with_o any_o extraordinary_a diligence_n and_o devotion_n holy_a communication_n christian_a admonition_n strict_a observation_n and_o sanctification_n of_o the_o lord_n day_n prayer_n in_o their_o family_n and_o such_o like_a because_o they_o will_v not_o incur_v among_o worldling_n the_o suspicion_n of_o be_v hypocrite_n for_o the_o avoid_n of_o which_o scandal_n and_o impediment_n let_v all_o those_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v admonish_v which_o call_v upon_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n to_o depart_v from_o iniquity_n and_o that_o as_o they_o shine_v more_o than_o other_o in_o the_o light_n 19_o 2._o tim._n 2._o 19_o of_o a_o holy_a profession_n so_o also_o that_o they_o approve_v this_o light_n to_o be_v divine_a and_o heavenly_a by_o the_o kindly_a and_o lively_a heat_n
