of_o man_n a_o vain_a shift_n which_o much_o hinder_v his_o fruitfulness_n and_o make_v he_o draw_v in_o all_o to_o himself_o and_o recall_v his_o sap_n from_o the_o fruit_n into_o the_o root_n again_o and_o that_o be_v a_o false_a reason_n with_o himself_o that_o because_o do_v he_o the_o best_a he_o can_v yet_o his_o fruit_n will_v be_v earthly_a and_o sour_a and_o never_o perfect_v and_o kind_o ripen_v because_o be_v they_o never_o so_o perfect_a and_o abundant_a yet_o they_o can_v merit_v life_n eternity_n to_o he_o that_o bear_v they_o and_o because_o that_o which_o be_v want_v be_v full_o supply_v in_o the_o all-sufficient_a fullness_n and_o superrogative_n merit_v of_o the_o head_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v but_o lose_a labour_n to_o spend_v himself_o in_o bring_v forth_o such_o unperfect_a fruit_n so_o helpless_a in_o the_o work_n of_o his_o own_o salvation_n thus_o do_v iniquity_n lie_v unto_o herself_o and_o turn_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n into_o a_o lie_n for_o though_o those_o three_o promise_n be_v all_o true_a yet_o the_o conclusion_n we_o infer_v upon_o they_o be_v altogether_o uncoherent_a true_a it_o be_v that_o though_o we_o be_v ingraft_v into_o the_o eternal_a vine_n christ_n yet_o we_o retain_v something_o of_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o old_a stock_n whence_o we_o be_v take_v which_o give_v to_o our_o best_a fruit_n a_o earthly_a taste_n and_o some_o relish_n of_o the_o old_a man_n true_a it_o be_v that_o though_o we_o be_v plant_v with_o the_o best_a heavenly_a plant_n of_o piety_n yet_o they_o grow_v in_o a_o foreign_a soil_n and_o in_o a_o cold_a clime_n far_o from_o the_o sun_n and_o our_o fruit_n be_v not_o concoct_v and_o perfect_a even_o our_o most_o spiritual_a fruit_n our_o prayer_n have_v not_o a_o please_a taste_n unless_o they_o have_v some_o sweeten_v but_o this_o defect_n be_v supply_v by_o the_o great_a angel_n of_o the_o covenant_n who_o when_o he_o present_v these_o our_o fruit_n to_o god_n the_o great_a husbandman_n add_v to_o they_o of_o his_o own_o precious_a incense_n which_o help_v their_o infirmity_n and_o harshness_n and_o make_v they_o acceptable_a renel_n 8.4_o again_o true_a it_o be_v that_o these_o our_o fruit_n be_v they_o never_o so_o abundant_a and_o as_o excellent_a as_o man_v perfect_o restore_v perfection_n can_v afford_v yet_o can_v they_o not_o merit_v those_o crown_n and_o kingdom_n and_o the_o eternity_n of_o that_o glory_n but_o
