yea_o to_o the_o imperial_a above_o the_o sphere_n and_o there_o contemplate_v far_o more_o excellent_a glory_n delight_n and_o happiness_n so_o as_o even_o by_o reason_n in_o and_o through_o these_o earthly_a felicity_n our_o dim_a eye_n as_o through_o spectacle_n may_v espy_v some_o light_n of_o god_n himself_o and_o of_o his_o infinite_a beauty_n pleasantness_n sweetness_n and_o excellency_n but_o if_o we_o add_v the_o eye_n of_o faith_n also_o to_o our_o reason_n we_o may_v view_v far_o and_o see_v more_o plain_o this_o author_n of_o all_o happiness_n god_n himself_o and_o his_o celestial_a glory_n and_o taste_v of_o the_o ocean_n of_o his_o infinite_a sweetness_n and_o heavenly_a pleasure_n and_o as_o reason_n so_o faith_n also_o in_o the_o view_n and_o contemplation_n of_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n in_o so_o much_o as_o by_o faithful_a and_o heavenly_a contemplation_n we_o may_v even_o set_v our_o soul_n in_o heaven_n beforehand_o taste_v already_o of_o future_a happiness_n entertain_v ourselves_o with_o god_n himself_o and_o with_o angel_n and_o so_o enjoy_v in_o our_o thought_n and_o contemplation_n a_o paradise_n of_o heavenly_a pleasure_n and_o felicity_n on_o earth_n let_v we_o therefore_o often_o in_o contemplation_n by_o the_o light_n of_o reason_n and_o of_o faith_n which_o be_v the_o best_a optic_n view_v and_o contemplate_v those_o glorious_a crown_n treasure_n delight_n &_o felicity_n which_o we_o expect_v hereafter_o to_o possess_v in_o the_o heaven_n and_o as_o in_o a_o mirror_n behold_v his_o glory_n who_o be_v the_o fountain_n &_o we_o find_v the_o joy_n of_o earth_n and_o heaven_n in_o our_o mind_n the_o four_o section_n we_o may_v enjoy_v earthly_a happiness_n free_o and_o cheerful_o know_v earthly_a happiness_n be_v answer_v in_o the_o follow_a section_n so_o that_o if_o we_o will_v be_v rule_v by_o nature_n reason_n religion_n by_o god_n himself_o if_o we_o will_v follow_v the_o opinion_n of_o the_o wise_a christian_n the_o practice_n of_o our_o saviour_n and_o of_o those_o christian_n in_o the_o primitive_a church_n and_o other_o in_o all_o age_n if_o we_o can_v use_v these_o earthly_a felicity_n with_o temperance_n to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n we_o may_v sure_o enjoy_v they_o in_o such_o good_a use_n free_o and_o cheerful_o let_v we_o then_o enjoy_v god_n in_o all_o thing_n and_o all_o thing_n in_o he_o and_o to_o his_o glory_n the_o abstract_n of_o the_o four_o section_n that_o we_o in_o earth_n delight_n free_a joy_n may_v find_v let_v we_o banish_v superstition_n from_o our_o mind_n most_o certain_o if_o we_o can_v true_o see_v religious_a excellency_n we_o shall_v be_v enamour_v with_o its_o beauty_n present_o however_o some_o do_v think_v that_o rigid_o the_o same_o do_v hinder_v earth_n felicity_n and_o therefore_o too_o too_o superstitious_o refuse_v the_o same_o so_o make_v other_o fear_v to_o tread_v these_o divine_a path_n conceit_v there_o be_v nought_o but_o rigid_a solitariness_n debar_v they_o from_o earthly_a happiness_n whereas_o indeed_o the_o same_o do_v much_o increase_n terrestrial_a joy_n external_a happiness_n these_o man_n will_v seem_v to_o be_v exceed_o wise_a in_o study_v altogether_o to_o despise_v all_o earthly_a pleasure_n insomuch_o they_o fear_v to_o see_v or_o taste_v thereof_o as_o if_o they_o be_v infectious_a in_o their_o good_a and_o harmless_a use_n and_o so_o because_o of_o danger_n in_o abuse_n they_o weak_o fear_v to_o enjoy_v they_o thus_o they_o find_v the_o world_n a_o grief_n a_o burden_n to_o their_o mind_n whereas_o in_o truth_n we_o ought_v without_o abuse_n to_o enjoy_v earth_n happiness_n in_o its_o good_a use_n free_o to_o which_o nature_n great_o excite_v we_o and_o reason_n also_o liberal_o invite_v we_o justice_n and_o temperance_n dâ—_n aswell_o condemn_v stupidity_n and_o fail_v in_o extreme_a as_o the_o other_o way_n intemperance_n in_o excess_n both_o hinder_v true_a delight_n and_o happiness_n religion_n also_o do_v commend_v the_o joy_n which_o in_o the_o temperate_a use_n thereof_o we_o may_v receive_v therein_o it_o bid_v we_o free_o take_v those_o pleasure_n which_o be_v only_o for_o our_o sake_n create_v and_o which_o god_n do_v free_o give_v for_o our_o necessity_n while_o here_o we_o live_v and_o moderate_a delectation_n let_v we_o then_o free_o enjoy_v the_o same_o sure_o such_o man_n as_o will_v refuse_v such_o joy_n so_o great_a a_o bliss_n as_o heaven_n do_v offer_v great_o do_v amiss_o but_o lord_n do_v thou_o our_o mind_n so_o guide_v so_o raise_v that_o we_o all_o thing_n in_o thou_o and_o to_o thy_o praise_n may_v still_o enjoy_v and_o also_o that_o we_o may_v thyself_o in_o all_o thing_n evermore_o enjoy_v the_o five_o section_n we_o may_v enjoy_v earthly_a felicity_n notwithstanding_o their_o vanity_n etc._n etc._n the_o reason_n why_o many_o man_n do_v so_o much_o condemn_v the_o free_a and_o cheerful_a enjoyance_n of_o earthly_a happiness_n be_v because_o of_o their_o vanity_n danger_n impediment_n and_o the_o like_a but_o i_o shall_v now_o endeavour_v to_o show_v that_o we_o may_v and_o aught_o to_o enjoy_v they_o free_o and_o cheerful_o notwithstanding_o these_o and_o first_o in_o this_o section_n notwithstanding_o their_o vanity_n those_o that_o will_v maintain_v the_o contrary_a do_v worthy_o and_o true_o tell_v we_o that_o earthly_a riches_n honour_n and_o pleasure_n be_v vain_a short_a uncertain_a and_o transitory_a and_o that_o in_o comparison_n of_o eternal_a a_o heavenly_a felicity_n they_o be_v not_o themselves_o while_o theiâ—_n soul_n be_v thus_o contemplate_v on_o the_o treasure_n thâ—_n glory_n and_o the_o delight_n of_o heaven_n so_o as_o they_o do_v in_o part_n taste_v before_o hand_n of_o the_o sweetness_n of_o those_o felicity_n which_o they_o hope_v to_o receive_v at_o the_o end_n of_o their_o life_n which_o make_v they_o very_o generous_o to_o tread_v under_o foot_n all_o the_o pleasure_n and_o greatness_n of_o the_o earth_n while_o their_o soul_n be_v in_o such_o contemplation_n direct_v their_o aim_n to_o heaven_n and_o it_o be_v also_o most_o true_a that_o the_o felicity_n of_o the_o earth_n be_v not_o worthy_a to_o be_v compare_v with_o those_o of_o heaven_n either_o in_o worth_n or_o duration_n of_o time_n they_o be_v altogether_o vain_a even_o as_o nothing_o in_o such_o comparison_n yet_o notwithstanding_o in_o respect_n of_o our_o nature_n infirmity_n weakness_n and_o necessity_n and_o in_o â—â—spect_n of_o themselves_o also_o without_o such_o compaâ—â—on_n they_o be_v to_o be_v well_o esteem_v both_o in_o reâ—â—ect_n of_o time_n &_o worth_n even_o as_o the_o gift_n and_o blessing_n of_o god_n commend_v yea_o command_v to_o be_v joy_v in_o their_o good_a use_n rather_o than_o neglect_v refuse_v as_o serve_v also_o to_o many_o excellent_a use_n use_v purpose_n even_o to_o increase_v in_o we_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a joy_n and_o happiness_n of_o all_o which_o i_o shall_v â—re_n also_o discourse_n of_o somewhat_o more_o particuâ—rly_o and_o first_o in_o respect_n of_o ourselves_o in_o that_o they_o â—â—e_v natural_a and_o and_o enjoyance_n thereof_o as_o appear_v in_o the_o former_a section_n therefore_o to_o be_v well_o esteem_v even_o as_o his_o gift_n anâ—_n blessing_n and_o in_o their_o good_a use_n to_o be_v heavenly_a joy_n and_o happiness_n of_o which_o i_o purpose_v to_o write_v particular_o in_o the_o last_o section_n so_o as_o although_o in_o comparison_n of_o the_o heavenly_a felicity_n these_o of_o the_o earth_n be_v vain_a short_a and_o transitory_a and_o with_o the_o same_o not_o worthy_a to_o be_v compare_v yet_o without_o such_o comparison_n and_o in_o â—espect_n of_o our_o nature_n and_o necessity_n and_o for_o as_o â—uch_o as_o they_o be_v god_n gift_n and_o blessing_n commend_v and_o command_v to_o be_v receive_v and_o enjoy_v and_o since_o many_o good_a use_n may_v be_v make_v â—hereof_o to_o the_o increase_n of_o our_o happiness_n both_o â—ere_z and_o in_o heaven_n therefore_o they_o be_v to_o be_v â—njoyed_v and_o such_o as_o either_o through_o ignorance_n peevishness_n or_o superstition_n do_v neglect_n and_o reuse_fw-fr the_o enjoyance_n of_o these_o earthly_a blessing_n â—n_v their_o good_a use_n be_v to_o be_v censure_v and_o â—lamed_v the_o abstract_n of_o the_o five_o section_n those_o soul_n which_o raise_v be_v above_o the_o sky_n to_o heavenly_a glory_n to_o eternity_n in_o contemplation_n do_v most_o certain_o account_v earth_n joy_n but_o even_o as_o vanity_n in_o such_o comparison_n they_o true_o deem_v all_o earthly_a joy_n not_o worthy_a their_o esteem_n while_o as_o their_o happy_a soul_n do_v thus_o aspire_v to_o heavenly_a joy_n with_o flame_a sweet_a desire_n they_o do_v forget_v the_o earth_n and_o be_v above_o themselves_o inflame_v with_o heavenly_a joy_n and_o love_n they_o be_v so_o rapt_v in_o sweet_a delight_n that_o even_o they_o seem_v to_o taste_v already_o joy_n of_o heaven_n so_o while_o their_o soul_n be_v raise_v above_o the_o sky_n they_o seem_v to_o tread_v down_o very_o generous_o all_o earthly_a joy_n beneath_o their_o foot_n as_o vain_a not_o worthy_a their_o esteem_n their_o glorious_a aim_n and_o sure_o no_o comparison_n can_v be_v betwixt_o earthly_a time_n and_o heaven_n eternity_n but_o though_o in_o such_o comparison_n certain_o the_o great_a earthly_a joy_n be_v vanity_n yet_o in_o themselves_o and_o also_o in_o respect_n of_o we_o and_o our_o necessity_n to_o neglect_v and_o disesteem_v they_o true_o be_v a_o crime_n in_o such_o respect_n they_o be_v in_o worth_n and_o time_n to_o be_v regard_v yea_o to_o we_o they_o be_v give_v by_o god_n himself_o as_o token_n send_v from_o heaven_n not_o only_o for_o necessity_n but_o delight_n which_o do_v appear_v because_o unto_o our_o sight_n and_o all_o our_o sense_n they_o afford_v variety_n of_o delectation_n even_o to_o satiety_n beyond_o necessity_n and_o therefore_o they_o which_o superstitious_o refuse_v to_o enjoy_v what_o god_n himself_o have_v free_o kind_o give_v be_v worthy_a blame_n though_o saint_n and_o heir_n of_o heaven_n this_o be_v not_o all_o he_o do_v not_o only_o give_v they_o but_o love_o command_v we_o to_o receive_v they_o so_o as_o without_o abuse_n and_o annoyance_n in_o their_o good_a use_n and_o moderate_a enjoyance_n and_o also_o in_o such_o joy_n they_o may_v invite_v attract_v encourage_v quicken_v and_o excite_v we_o unto_o all_o good_a action_n and_o to_o raise_v our_o soul_n to_o god_n himself_o to_o heavenly_a joy_n from_o whence_o these_o spring_n and_o so_o to_o taste_v to_o find_v pleasure_n of_o heaven_n on_o earth_n within_o our_o mind_n so_o though_o earth_n joy_n be_v vain_a and_o transitory_a yet_o may_v we_o thereof_o make_v we_o crown_n of_o glory_n the_o sixth_o section_n we_o may_v enjoy_v earthly_a happiness_n notwithstanding_o their_o danger_n etc._n etc._n although_o it_o be_v most_o certain_a there_o be_v many_o danger_n and_o impediment_n in_o earthly_a riches_n honour_n and_o pleasure_n yet_o these_o may_v be_v avoid_v &_o so_o convert_v to_o our_o felicity_n in_o as_o much_o as_o to_o eschew_v and_o overcome_v they_o or_o to_o endeavour_v so_o to_o do_v be_v acceptable_a to_o god_n and_o by_o he_o reward_v and_o since_o they_o be_v to_o we_o natural_a necessary_a commend_v and_o command_v by_o reason_n and_o religion_n itself_o as_o god_n creature_n gift_n and_o blessing_n to_o be_v enjoy_v in_o their_o good_a use_n which_o be_v many_o as_o have_v be_v show_v their_o danger_n and_o impediment_n hinder_v not_o but_o we_o may_v enjoy_v they_o in_o their_o good_a use_n free_o and_o cheerful_o but_o they_o which_o will_v vice_n but_o we_o may_v true_o answer_v although_o these_o earthly_a felicity_n be_v dangerous_a dispose_v we_o to_o such_o vice_n this_o be_v no_o sufficient_a reason_n to_o divert_v we_o from_o the_o good_a use_n of_o they_o it_o be_v absurd_a to_o say_v a_o man_n may_v not_o use_v a_o knife_n because_o some_o have_v cut_v their_o finger_n therewith_o so_o to_o say_v we_o ought_v not_o to_o desire_v riches_n honour_n &_o pleasure_n in_o a_o moderate_a manner_n and_o so_o in_o their_o good_a use_n free_o to_o enjoy_v they_o because_o they_o be_v a_o occasion_n that_o some_o man_n fall_v into_o covetousness_n ambition_n intemperance_n and_o other_o vice_n be_v a_o insufficient_a reason_n the_o affection_n as_o one_o say_v be_v the_o nerve_n and_o sinew_n of_o the_o soul_n they_o serve_v to_o contract_v to_o slacken_v to_o lift_v up_o to_o lay_v down_o to_o stir_v and_o settle_v the_o same_o whersoever_o it_o will_v even_o as_o the_o body_n be_v move_v and_o remove_v by_o its_o ligament_n wherefore_o they_o be_v to_o be_v preserve_v and_o moderate_v not_o take_v away_o and_o utter_o destroy_v we_o be_v to_o imitate_v in_o this_o a_o well_o experience_a horsman_n who_o for_o to_o tame_v and_o manage_v well_o his_o horse_n will_v not_o take_v from_o he_o agility_n and_o courage_n but_o endeavour_n especial_o to_o bring_v he_o to_o run_v to_o turn_v to_o rise_v to_o curvet_v and_o to_o stand_v how_o and_o when_o it_o please_v he_o and_o not_o according_a to_o the_o horse_n will_v even_o so_o when_o we_o perceive_v our_o affection_n incline_v to_o stubborn_a disobedience_n we_o ought_v rather_o to_o correct_v and_o reform_v the_o same_o with_o reason_n and_o judgement_n then_o whole_o to_o mortify_v and_o extinguish_v they_o and_o although_o the_o riches_n honour_n and_o pleasure_n of_o the_o earth_n be_v dangerous_a temptation_n to_o evil_a yet_o for_o a_o man_n not_o be_v ill_a where_o he_o have_v no_o provocation_n thereunto_o be_v less_o commendable_a and_o deserve_v then_o to_o be_v good_a in_o the_o midst_n of_o danger_n and_o temptation_n insomuch_o that_o if_o we_o can_v make_v a_o good_a use_n even_o of_o these_o danger_n and_o temptation_n by_o overcome_a or_o endeavour_v to_o overcome_v they_o for_o god_n that_o accept_v the_o will_n for_o the_o deed_n will_n love_o accept_v of_o our_o good_a wish_n &_o endeavour_n and_o his_o power_n be_v make_v perfect_a in_o our_o weakness_n and_o infirmity_n as_o s._n paul_n say_v the_o same_o shall_v then_o convert_v to_o our_o good_a and_o advancement_n we_o shall_v be_v great_o reward_v in_o heaven_n for_o such_o conquest_n and_o endeavour_n in_o such_o good_a use_n therefore_o even_o of_o these_o danger_n we_o may_v take_v saint_n james_n exhortation_n count_v it_o all_o joy_n say_v he_o when_o you_o fall_v into_o divers_a temptation_n but_o it_o be_v further_o object_v to_o this_o purpose_n by_o such_o as_o will_v deny_v this_o truth_n they_o true_o tell_v we_o all_o age_n virtuous_a and_o religious_a christian_n of_o all_o degree_n who_o have_v not_o disdain_v to_o enjoy_v these_o gift_n and_o blessing_n of_o god_n in_o their_o good_a use_n be_v much_o better_a to_o be_v repute_v then_o such_o as_o refuse_v so_o much_o good_a which_o god_n lovingly_z and_o free_o offer_v to_o our_o acceptance_n good_a use_n &_o enjoyance_n such_o therefore_o who_o can_v live_v in_o the_o world_n and_o yet_o be_v so_o spiritual_a and_o heavenly_a mind_v that_o they_o can_v use_v it_o as_o if_o they_o use_v it_o not_o how_o &_o when_o they_o please_v for_o their_o own_o advantage_n who_o caâ—_n be_v temperate_a like_o our_o saviour_n among_o publican_n and_o sinner_n or_o as_o lot_n be_v a_o good_a man_n in_o sodom_n such_o as_o know_v these_o earthly_a felicity_n in_o their_o high_a excellency_n and_o pleasure_n and_o yet_o can_v avoid_v their_o evil_n danger_n and_o impediment_n and_o in_o all_o good_a way_n use_v they_o or_o contemn_v they_o as_o they_o will_v themselves_o such_o man_n indeed_o be_v most_o worthy_a of_o praise_n and_o to_o be_v esteem_v most_o deserve_a and_o this_o to_o do_v be_v a_o great_a glory_n and_o show_v much_o more_o and_o strong_a sanctity_n and_o grace_n inward_o then_o utter_o to_o abandon_v the_o world_n by_o retire_v to_o a_o monastery_n or_o to_o neglect_v god_n gift_n and_o blessing_n and_o consequent_o shall_v be_v more_o glorious_o reward_v in_o heaven_n whereas_o it_o be_v also_o further_o object_v that_o our_o saviour_n say_v it_o be_v hard_a for_o a_o rich_a man_n to_o enter_v into_o heaven_n if_o a_o mighty_a and_o noble_a man_n can_v be_v spiritual_a and_o heavenly_a notwithstanding_o the_o temptation_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o allurement_n of_o riches_n and_o greatness_n which_o natural_o draw_v our_o desire_n downward_o he_o be_v a_o noâ—le_n and_o worthy_a man_n indeed_o thrice_o bless_a be_v those_o rich_a mighty_a and_o noble_a man_n who_o can_v overcome_v such_o great_a occasion_n to_o direct_v our_o joy_n to_o god_n himself_o to_o heaven_n from_o whence_o they_o spring_v and_o so_o whilst_o we_o be_v sweet_o solace_v ourselves_o in_o thought_n of_o god_n of_o heaven_n we_o may_v in_o some_o degree_n pleasure_n of_o heaven_n enjoy_v it_o be_v true_a indeed_o that_o moderate_a abstinence_n so_o as_o the_o same_o be_v with_o convenience_n disburthen_n our_o gross_a mind_n and_o make_v they_o lightfull_a perspicuous_a free_a most_o quick_a and_o very_o sprightful_a apt_a to_o receive_v all_o heavenly_a inspiration_n and_o to_o retain_v divine_a illumination_n but_o too_o much_o abstinence_n beyond_o due_a measure_n and_o overnice_a restraint_n of_o lawful_a pleasure_n do_v much_o perplex_v the_o mind_n and_o so_o annoy_v the_o same_o in_o all_o good_a action_n heavenly_a joy_n and_o herein_o order_n time_n occasion_n be_v to_o be_v observe_v lest_o we_o do_v amiss_o but_o usual_o a_o temperate_a custom_n best_a and_o such_o as_o use_v live_v therein_o and_o as_o a_o master_n use_v the_o same_o in_o all_o respect_n without_o abuse_n as_o if_o he_o use_v it_o not_o even_o how_o and_o when_o he_o will_v himself_o enjoy_v now_o and_o then_o its_o choice_a pleasure_n when_o he_o please_v again_o contemn_v they_o even_o with_o a_o great_a disdain_n for_o his_o own_o advantage_n when_o his_o soul_n aspire_v to_o heaven_n compare_v of_o siren_n tempt_v unto_o ill_a desire_n can_v yet_o be_v chaste_a and_o temperate_a shall_v be_v reward_v great_o for_o such_o victory_n in_o heaven_n with_o inestimable_a treasure_n with_o crown_n of_o glory_n with_o eternal_a pleasure_n most_o certain_o indeed_o thrice_o bless_v then_o be_v such_o great_a mighty_a rich_a and_o noble_a man_n who_o notwithstanding_o many_o strong_a temptation_n as_o we_o may_v esteem_v they_o even_o little_a addition_n to_o our_o hope_n of_o heaven_n since_o we_o be_v christ_n and_o ghrist_n be_v god_n we_o may_v the_o sweet_a joy_n on_o earth_n in_o heaven_n enjoy_v the_o eight_o section_n we_o may_v enjoy_v earthly_a happiness_n with_o a_o heavenly_a mind_n insomuch_o as_o by_o the_o good_a use_n and_o enjoyance_n thereof_o we_o may_v learn_v and_o enjoy_v in_o some_o measure_n the_o felicity_n of_o heaven_n on_o earth_n i_o have_v in_o the_o former_a section_n insist_v somewhat_o large_o upon_o the_o free_a and_o cheerful_a enjoyance_n of_o earthly_a happiness_n in_o their_o good_a use_n answer_v the_o objection_n to_o the_o contrary_a the_o rather_o because_o certain_o if_o man_n be_v well_o persuade_v of_o this_o truth_n that_o external_a happiness_n be_v not_o contrary_a but_o rather_o in_o the_o good_a use_n thereof_o may_v be_v a_o furtherance_n both_o to_o internal_a and_o eternal_a happiness_n they_o will_v with_o more_o swift_a desire_n run_v the_o way_n that_o lead_v they_o both_o to_o the_o felicity_n of_o earth_n and_o heaven_n and_o also_o because_o the_o too_o rigid_a and_o stoical_a severity_n of_o many_o man_n both_o in_o their_o carriage_n and_o writing_n be_v a_o great_a occasion_n that_o multitude_n of_o people_n in_o the_o world_n especial_o such_o as_o be_v young_a and_o of_o a_o pleasant_a nature_n will_v not_o follow_v the_o divine_a precept_n of_o verve_v and_o religion_n think_v the_o same_o too_o severe_a monkish_a and_o solitary_a whereas_o indeed_o the_o way_n of_o religion_n and_o virtue_n be_v most_o lovely_a pleasant_a and_o beneficial_a her_o way_n be_v way_n of_o pleasantness_n and_o her_o path_n be_v peace_n proverb_n 3.17_o the_o same_o be_v sufficient_a to_o guerdon_v the_o follower_n thereof_o even_o in_o this_o life_n with_o perfect_a pleasure_n and_o a_o multitude_n of_o benefit_n it_o be_v no_o way_n deficient_a but_o in_o all_o respect_v amiable_a and_o excellent_a add_v to_o the_o pleasantness_n and_o delight_n of_o earthly_a pleasure_n felicity_n and_o recreation_n and_o make_v these_o also_o serve_v to_o increase_v heavenly_a joy_n and_o consolation_n and_o when_o our_o mind_n be_v raise_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o heavenly_a pleasure_n we_o may_v then_o also_o enjoy_v the_o felicity_n of_o the_o earth_n with_o a_o heavenly_a mind_n let_v we_o therefore_o endeavour_v by_o and_o through_o these_o low_a delight_n and_o happiness_n of_o the_o earth_n these_o little_a glimmer_a ray_n proceed_v from_o that_o sun_n of_o glory_n god_n himself_o to_o espy_v some_o light_n of_o his_o heavenly_a glory_n and_o happiness_n and_o so_o in_o some_o measure_n to_o spell_n learn_v and_o enjoy_v the_o felicity_n of_o heaven_n on_o earth_n we_o be_v not_o to_o disdain_v to_o make_v use_n of_o these_o earthly_a in_o the_o acquist_n of_o heavenly_a thing_n nor_o to_o make_v earthly_a comparison_n and_o similitude_n herein_o for_o although_o there_o be_v no_o comparison_n between_o they_o either_o in_o time_n or_o excellency_n yet_o as_o child_n have_v need_n at_o first_o to_o be_v allure_v to_o the_o acquisition_n of_o great_a and_o excellent_a matter_n by_o such_o toy_n and_o trifle_n as_o they_o apprehend_v so_o in_o respect_n of_o our_o weak_a apprehension_n such_o comparison_n and_o similitude_n often_o be_v and_o may_v be_v use_v in_o a_o convenient_a manner_n so_o as_o we_o may_v make_v a_o very_a good_a use_n of_o earthly_a felicity_n in_o this_o respect_n as_o of_o a_o prospective_n glass_n for_o by_o and_o through_o these_o earthly_a our_o weak_a sight_n may_v see_v more_o plain_o into_o heavenly_a happiness_n and_o consequent_o be_v excite_v to_o seek_v and_o enjoy_v the_o same_o let_v we_o then_o by_o reason_n light_n through_o these_o terrestrial_a endeavour_n to_o learn_v espy_v and_o contemplate_v high_o more_o excellent_a heavenly_a happiness_n reason_n be_v of_o such_o force_n as_o that_o it_o can_v pass_v from_o thing_n know_v to_o thing_n unknown_a it_o can_v abstract_a from_o visible_a thing_n thing_n invisible_a from_o corporal_a incorporal_a general_n from_o particular_n and_o high_a mystical_a and_o heavenly_a thing_n from_o low_a apparent_a terrestrial_a thing_n so_o as_o hereby_o we_o may_v in_o some_o measure_n contemplate_v god_n himself_o and_o his_o heavenly_a glory_n it_o be_v a_o common_a doctrine_n the_o world_n be_v make_v for_o man_n and_o man_n for_o god_n and_o that_o there_o be_v no_o happiness_n in_o the_o world_n from_o which_o we_o may_v not_o draw_v some_o instruction_n to_o know_v god_n ourselves_o and_o our_o duty_n if_o therefore_o first_o in_o general_n we_o consider_v all_o the_o felicity_n in_o the_o world_n in_o their_o great_a worth_n beauty_n sweetness_n and_o pleasantness_n reason_n will_v tell_v we_o that_o if_o there_o be_v so_o much_o excellency_n in_o the_o creature_n the_o creator_n be_v in_o all_o respect_n much_o more_o excellent_a and_o that_o if_o we_o may_v enjoy_v such_o and_o so_o many_o pleasure_n and_o felicity_n in_o creature_n much_o more_o and_o better_a may_v and_o shall_v we_o enjoy_v in_o god_n himself_o &_o taste_v and_o see_v how_o good_a the_o lord_n be_v say_v king_n david_n the_o felicity_n of_o the_o earth_n in_o their_o great_a worth_n and_o excellency_n be_v but_o as_o drop_n proceed_v from_o the_o ocean_n of_o his_o infinite_a sweetness_n if_o we_o may_v enjoy_v so_o much_o pleasure_n so_o much_o happiness_n in_o these_o little_a drop_n &_o foreta_v how_o much_o more_o may_v &_o shall_v we_o in_o those_o river_n of_o pleasure_n in_o that_o sea_n of_o happiness_n which_o be_v in_o god_n in_o the_o heaven_n reason_n also_o tell_v we_o if_o there_o be_v so_o much_o so_o many_o &_o such_o
