himself_o to_o be_v if_o he_o be_v out_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n he_o be_v break_v and_o fall_v to_o piece_n therefore_o in_o this_o sense_n he_o go_v to_o god_n and_o desire_v he_o to_o keep_v he_o from_o temptation_n dependence_n beget_v observance_n if_o the_o creature_n can_v once_o but_o live_v of_o himself_o though_o it_o be_v but_o for_o a_o while_n god_n will_v seldom_o hear_v from_o he_o this_o be_v that_o which_o be_v the_o bridle_n upon_o the_o new-creature_n to_o keep_v up_o his_o constant_a commerce_n with_o god_n 2._o we_o must_v go_v to_o he_o with_o confidence_n in_o a_o actual_a dependence_n upon_o the_o all-sufficiency_n of_o his_o grace_n it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o apprehend_v our_o weakness_n but_o we_o must_v also_o go_v forth_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o god_n that_o be_v hold_v up_o our_o heart_n with_o a_o sense_n of_o this_o that_o god_n be_v able_a to_o bear_v we_o up_o and_o defeat_v all_o our_o spiritual_a enemy_n god_n will_v not_o take_v off_o the_o temptation_n from_o paul_n 2_o cor._n 12._o 9_o but_o saithe_v my_o grace_n be_v sufficient_a for_o thou_o he_o can_v either_o weaken_v temptation_n or_o give_v in_o further_a supply_n of_o strength_n therefore_o encourage_v yourselves_o in_o the_o power_n of_o the_o lord_n the_o devil_n can_v tempt_v we_o one_o jot_n further_o than_o the_o lord_n will_v permit_v he_o his_o malice_n be_v give_v of_o grace_n be_v altogether_o free_a as_o what_o measure_n of_o assistance_n we_o shall_v have_v and_o by_o what_o mean_v it_o shall_v be_v supply_v god_n may_v enlarge_v or_o abate_v the_o degree_n of_o his_o influence_n according_a to_o his_o own_o will._n now_o thus_o we_o must_v come_v to_o he_o with_o submission_n to_o his_o good_a pleasure_n either_o for_o take_v off_o the_o temptation_n or_o continue_v it_o for_o your_o exercise_n or_o the_o measure_n of_o your_o supply_n when_o you_o murmur_v and_o fret_v it_o be_v sign_n you_o have_v too_o good_a thought_n of_o yourselves_o when_o we_o prescribe_v to_o god_n it_o argue_v some_o ascribe_v to_o ourselves_o you_o be_v to_o endeavour_v indeed_o to_o pray_v and_o use_v all_o good_a mean_n to_o come_v out_o of_o temptation_n but_o submit_v if_o the_o lord_n be_v please_v to_o continue_v his_o exercise_n upon_o you_o nay_o though_o god_n shall_v continue_v the_o temptation_n and_o for_o the_o present_v not_o give_v out_o those_o measure_n of_o grace_n necessary_a for_o you_o yet_o you_o must_v not_o murmur_v but_o lie_v at_o his_o foot_n for_o god_n be_v lord_n of_o his_o own_o grace_n 3._o you_o be_v to_o look_v upon_o god_n as_o a_o judge_n correct_v some_o forego_n sin_n by_o your_o present_a temptation_n and_o therefore_o 1._o you_o must_v humble_v yourselves_o under_o his_o mighty_a hand_n when_o you_o be_v exercise_v with_o great_a and_o sore_a temptation_n and_o accept_v the_o punishment_n of_o your_o iniquity_n without_o murmur_v that_o be_v the_o only_a way_n to_o get_v it_o off_o outward_a affliction_n we_o be_v not_o to_o reflect_v upon_o instrument_n job_n do_v not_o say_v the_o caldean_a and_o sabean_a have_v take_v but_o the_o lord_n have_v take_v chap._n 1._o 2d_o so_o in_o these_o spiritual_a affliction_n take_v the_o temptation_n out_o of_o god_n hand_n as_o a_o judg._n though_o satan_n pursue_v you_o with_o fiery_a dart_n with_o temptation_n horrible_a and_o terrible_a yet_o look_v upon_o it_o as_o the_o fruit_n of_o some_o forego_n sin_n if_o he_o shall_v tempt_v you_o by_o injection_n of_o despair_a fear_n or_o blasphemous_a thought_n these_o be_v not_o your_o sin_n but_o they_o may_v be_v a_o punishment_n
