in_o earth_n as_o it_o be_v in_o heaven_n a._n we_o herein_o pray_v that_o god_n will_v so_o conform_v all_o our_o heart_n to_o his_o will_n that_o we_o may_v in_o our_o measure_n serve_v and_o thence_o encourage_v to_o hope_v for_o mercy_n from_o god_n this_o forgiveness_n of_o other_o be_v one_o condition_n of_o his_o forgive_n we_o q._n when_o may_v we_o be_v say_v to_o forgive_v he_o guilty_a of_o lie_v to_o god_n in_o their_o prayer_n and_o do_v moreover_o in_o effect_n desire_v god_n not_o to_o forgive_v their_o sin_n but_o to_o punish_v they_o with_o everlasting_a damnation_n q._n what_o be_v the_o best_a motive_n to_o the_o performance_n of_o this_o so_o needful_a and_o difficult_a duty_n of_o forgive_a offender_n a._n god_n readiness_n to_o pardon_v we_o 35._o who_o have_v yet_o do_v infinite_o more_o against_o he_o than_o any_o of_o our_o fellow-creature_n can_v possible_o do_v against_o we_o the_o serious_a consideration_n whereof_o will_v be_v apt_a to_o diligent_o seek_v he_o and_o this_o while_n alas_o how_o little_o do_v you_o differ_v from_o heathen_n though_o you_o may_v carry_v the_o name_n of_o christian_n and_o if_o wrath_n shall_v be_v pour_v out_o on_o the_o heathen_a kingdom_n and_o family_n that_o know_v not_o god_n nor_o call_v upon_o his_o name_n jer._n 10._o 25._o do_v you_o think_v it_o shall_v sare_z any_o better_a with_o the_o no_o need_n of_o prayer_n you_o may_v then_o omit_v it_o in_o the_o time_n of_o life_n and_o health_n but_o for_o all_o those_o who_o wouldnot_v be_v think_v guilty_a of_o such_o atheism_n and_o profaneness_n i_o will_v beseech_v they_o to_o make_v conscience_n of_o this_o duty_n to_o this_o end_n let_v i_o advise_v you_o every_o day_n morning_n and_o evening_n to_o take_v the_o most_o convenient_a time_n when_o your_o whole_a family_n can_v come_v together_o and_o then_o to_o join_v all_o in_o humble_a solemn_a prayer_n and_o praise_n to_o that_o great_a and_o glorious_a god_n who_o be_v the_o maker_n and_o preserver_n of_o we_o all_o and_o for_o your_o more_o orderly_a performance_n of_o this_o duty_n if_o you_o have_v no_o better_a help_n at_o hand_n you_o may_v if_o religion_n be_v for_o your_o own_o interest_n even_o for_o the_o health_n and_o happiness_n of_o your_o soul_n as_o those_o common_a action_n be_v for_o the_o preserve_n of_o your_o bodily_a life_n all_o your_o time_n come_v to_o be_v reckon_v for_o which_o way_n of_o spend_v it_o will_v be_v most_o to_o your_o comfort_n and_o now_o do_v according_o or_o if_o you_o say_v you_o have_v no_o time_n to_o throw_v away_o thus_o idle_o yet_o what_o a_o great_a matter_n will_v it_o be_v to_o rise_v one_o quarter_n of_o a_o hour_n soon_o than_o usual_a and_o to_o spend_v that_o time_n in_o prayer_n you_o can_v do_v more_o than_o this_o for_o your_o own_o pleasure_n or_o for_o a_o small_a profit_n and_o shall_v not_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o your_o duty_n to_o he_o prevail_v as_o much_o with_o you_o nor_o yet_o think_v it_o will_v be_v enough_o for_o your_o excuse_n to_o pretend_v that_o your_o employment_n be_v of_o that_o nature_n that_o your_o family_n can_v come_v together_o for_o prayer_n especial_o not_o in_o the_o morning_n which_o be_v like_a to_o be_v the_o plea_n of_o the_o husbandman_n rather_o than_o the_o tradesman_n this_o i_o say_v will_v not_o excuse_v your_o neglect_n since_o i_o question_v not_o but_o that_o by_o appoint_v your_o time_n of_o prayer_n a_o little_a early_o or_o by_o a_o prudent_a contrivance_n of_o your_o affair_n you_o may_v ordinary_o godly_a life_n till_o hereafter_o let_v i_o not_o think_v it_o too_o soon_o to_o set_v about_o that_o work_n for_o which_o all_o my_o life_n be_v give_v i_o and_o be_v all_o little_a enough_o just_o then_o may_v thou_o shorten_v my_o day_n if_o i_o shall_v wilful_o defer_v my_o repentance_n and_o reformation_n yea_o just_o may_v thou_o refuse_v to_o accept_v of_o i_o in_o old_a age_n if_o now_o i_o spend_v my_o youth_n and_o the_o best_a of_o my_o day_n in_o serve_v the_o devil_n and_o satisfy_v my_o own_o lust_n wherefore_o oh_o lord_n i_o beseech_v thou_o now_o betimes_o to_o incline_v my_o heart_n to_o thy_o fear_n and_o service_n that_o when_o i_o be_o old_a i_o may_v never_o depart_v from_o thou_o make_v i_o always_o sensible_a of_o the_o shortness_n and_o uncertainty_n of_o my_o life_n that_o number_v my_o day_n i_o may_v apply_v my_o heart_n to_o wisdom_n and_o through_o my_o whole_a life_n may_v make_v this_o my_o great_a study_n and_o care_n to_o get_v a_o everlasting_a happiness_n in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v oh_o never_o suffer_v i_o good_a god_n to_o become_v so_o foolish_a as_o for_o any_o pleasure_n of_o sin_n to_o part_v with_o the_o hope_n of_o eternal_a glory_n and_o to_o sell_v my_o soul_n into_o the_o hand_n of_o satan_n to_o be_v torment_v with_o he_o for_o ever_o but_o do_v thou_o oh_o lord_n strengthen_v i_o by_o thy_o grace_n against_o all_o his_o temptation_n and_o against_o the_o allurement_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o flesh_n that_o they_o may_v not_o prevail_v over_o i_o help_v i_o to_o flee_v all_o youthful_a lust_n and_o to_o follow_v after_o sobriety_n chastity_n and_o all_o manner_n of_o purity_n virtue_n and_o godliness_n whenever_o i_o be_o ready_a to_o run_v into_o sin_n oh_o than_o fill_v my_o mind_n with_o the_o thought_n of_o that_o hell_n to_o which_o sin_n lead_v and_o let_v the_o hope_n of_o
