ourselves_o if_o therefore_o christian_n will_v be_v glad_a of_o a_o surety_n when_o they_o be_v in_o necessity_n than_o christian_n must_v also_o when_o need_n require_v do_v so_o much_o for_o other_o to_o become_v surety_n for_o man_n person_n be_v no_o doubt_n a_o work_n of_o charity_n for_o what_o if_o man_n be_v arrest_v of_o malice_n &_o evil_a will_n as_o many_o be_v or_o what_o if_o such_o extreme_a action_n be_v lay_v by_o unreasonable_a man_n upon_o thy_o neighbour_n as_o shall_v make_v a_o man_n afraid_a to_o speak_v for_o he_o as_o many_o do_v or_o what_o if_o such_o practice_n be_v use_v of_o purpose_n to_o discredit_v thy_o neighbour_n in_o a_o strange_a place_n where_o he_o be_v not_o know_v shall_v it_o not_o be_v then_o lawful_a to_o relieve_v thy_o neighbour_n by_o thy_o word_n until_o his_o cause_n may_v be_v know_v very_o if_o thou_o will_v not_o rescue_v he_o and_o shroud_v he_o under_o the_o shadow_n of_o thy_o wing_n but_o let_v the_o prison_n consume_v his_o body_n and_o wicked_a man_n make_v a_o pray_v of_o his_o good_n thou_o thyself_o may_v one_o day_n come_v into_o the_o like_a predicament_n and_o then_o thou_o will_v confess_v that_o suertiship_n in_o such_o a_o case_n be_v a_o work_n of_o charity_n but_o further_a what_o if_o thy_o christian_a brother_n be_v arrest_v upon_o suspicion_n of_o evil_a when_o notwithstanding_o he_o be_v innocent_a if_o he_o go_v to_o prison_n his_o good_a name_n be_v call_v into_o question_n if_o he_o lie_v in_o prison_n his_o good_n go_v to_o wrack_n his_o health_n be_v in_o hazard_n his_o life_n be_v in_o danger_n both_o he_o and_o he_o be_v like_a to_o smart_v for_o it_o now_o if_o any_o man_n think_v it_o unlawful_a to_o give_v his_o neighbour_n leave_v to_o refresh_v himself_o and_o to_o save_v his_o life_n his_o good_n and_o his_o good_a name_n under_o the_o shadow_n of_o his_o credit_n &_o protection_n of_o his_o promise_n let_v he_o imagine_v himself_o to_o be_v the_o man_n that_o be_v so_o handle_v and_o then_o he_o will_v confess_v that_o suertiship_n for_o man_n person_n be_v a_o work_n of_o charity_n and_o therefore_o lawful_a but_o yet_o further_o what_o if_o thy_o christian_a brother_n be_v false_o accuse_v and_o wrongful_o imprison_v as_o joseph_n be_v and_o it_o be_v yet_o unknowen_a be_v it_o not_o lawful_a nay_o be_v we_o not_o gen._n bind_v in_o such_o a_o case_n to_o redeem_v the_o liberty_n of_o our_o brother_n with_o our_o word_n or_o bond_n if_o it_o may_v be_v or_o what_o if_o a_o man_n have_v be_v surety_n for_o joseph_n appearance_n if_o his_o liberty_n may_v have_v be_v obtain_v shall_v we_o say_v that_o such_o a_o man_n have_v sin_v god_n forbid_v if_o any_o think_v so_o let_v he_o know_v that_o joseph_n case_n may_v one_o day_n joseph_n prove_v his_o case_n and_o then_o he_o will_v confess_v that_o suertiship_n for_o man_n person_n be_v a_o work_n of_o charity_n and_o therefore_o lawful_a but_o what_o if_o my_o brother_n be_v in_o debt_n &_o must_v either_o go_v to_o prison_n or_o find_v surety_n for_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o debt_n by_o a_o day_n sure_o if_o he_o be_v a_o christian_n he_o be_v thy_o brother_n &_o how_o can_v thou_o see_v thy_o christian_a brother_n by_o languish_v in_o prison_n where_o he_o do_v only_o spend_v but_o not_o get_v when_o if_o he_o be_v abroad_o to_o work_v in_o his_o call_n he_o may_v both_o help_v himself_o and_o pay_v his_o debt_n imagine_v that_o rich_a job_n be_v the_o man_n when_o all_o be_v go_v from_o job._n he_o and_o he_o leave_v as_o naked_a in_o the_o world_n as_o he_o be_v when_o he_o come_v into_o the_o world_n what_o if_o his_o creditor_n shall_v then_o take_v he_o by_o the_o throat_n and_o say_v pay_v that_o thou_o owe_v or_o else_o put_v i_o in_o sufficient_a surety_n lest_o thou_o go_v to_o prison_n as_o the_o manner_n of_o many_o be_v when_o they_o see_v their_o debtor_n fall_v in_o decay_n shall_v we_o say_v that_o he_o shall_v have_v sin_v against_o the_o law_n of_o charity_n which_o be_v the_o rule_n of_o christianity_n that_o shall_v have_v give_v his_o word_n with_o job_n for_o the_o payment_n of_o his_o debt_n by_o such_o a_o time_n and_o in_o such_o a_o reasonable_a manner_n as_o may_v be_v agree_v upon_o if_o this_o be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o persuade_v thou_o remember_v that_o no_o man_n be_v so_o high_a but_o may_v be_v bring_v low_a as_o there_o be_v no_o full_a sea_n but_o have_v his_o ebb_a and_o job_n case_n may_v prove_v thy_o case_n and_o then_o thou_o will_v hold_v that_o suertiship_n be_v a_o duty_n both_o necessary_a and_o christian_n and_o therefore_o very_o lawful_a but_o put_v case_n that_o my_o brother_n have_v offend_v some_o body_n by_o word_n or_o deed_n and_o must_v either_o find_v surety_n for_o his_o good_a behaviour_n or_o else_o go_v to_o prison_n sure_o if_o he_o be_v sorry_a for_o his_o offence_n and_o if_o he_o shall_v crave_v
the_o help_n of_o thy_o word_n for_o his_o enlargement_n brotherly_a kindness_n will_v persuade_v thou_o to_o succour_v he_o &_o the_o law_n of_o love_n will_v forbid_v thou_o to_o deny_v he_o and_o if_o this_o be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o move_v thou_o then_o remember_v that_o he_o which_o think_v that_o he_o stand_v may_v fall_v and_o when_o his_o case_n shall_v prove_v thy_o case_n thou_o will_v then_o plead_v for_o thyself_o and_o say_v that_o except_o thou_o may_v be_v at_o liberty_n there_o can_v be_v no_o trial_n of_o thy_o amendment_n and_o except_o thou_o may_v be_v bail_v by_o themselves_o to_o such_o a_o friend_n of_o they_o and_o he_o again_o be_v bind_v again_o to_o he_o that_o neither_o of_o they_o both_o shall_v ever_o become_v surety_n for_o any_o man_n while_o they_o live_v so_o that_o if_o their_o own_o father_n or_o mother_n require_v this_o duty_n at_o their_o hand_n they_o have_v but_o a_o cold_a suit_n of_o it_o for_o their_o child_n have_v bind_v himself_o to_o the_o contrary_n but_o let_v we_o see_v be_v it_o lawful_a for_o a_o christian_n to_o bind_v himself_o by_o vow_n or_o by_o oath_n or_o by_o bond_n from_o a_o duty_n so_o necessary_a so_o charitable_a and_o so_o christian_n many_o good_a man_n have_v bind_v themselves_o from_o sin_n as_o job_n take_v bond_n of_o his_o eye_n that_o job._n they_o shall_v not_o wanton_o behold_v a_o maid_n and_o david_n vow_v to_o serve_v the_o lord_n his_o god_n and_o david_n and_o daniel_n both_o do_v as_o it_o be_v bind_v themselves_o to_o pray_v so_o many_o time_n a_o day_n to_o god_n but_o we_o shall_v never_o read_v of_o any_o man_n fear_v god_n which_o do_v ever_o bind_v themselves_o from_o serve_v of_o god_n man_n count_v it_o a_o shame_n and_o so_o it_o be_v to_o be_v bind_v to_o the_o good_a behaviour_n but_o what_o a_o shame_n be_v it_o for_o a_o christian_n to_o bind_v himself_o from_o perform_v the_o duty_n of_o a_o christian_a but_o because_o many_o be_v decay_v by_o suertiship_n object_n they_o say_v therefore_o have_v they_o bind_v themselves_o from_o be_v surety_n for_o any_o man_n by_o the_o same_o reason_n why_o do_v they_o not_o also_o answer_n bind_v themselves_o from_o eat_v and_o dr_v because_o many_o man_n by_o eat_v and_o drink_v do_v surfeit_v themselves_o or_o why_o do_v they_o not_o bind_v themselves_o never_o to_o come_v near_o any_o water_n because_o some_o man_n have_v desperate_o drown_v themselves_o etc._n etc._n but_o what_o slavery_n do_v these_o man_n endure_v which_o have_v bind_v themselves_o from_o relieve_n of_o other_o and_o themselves_o like_o the_o jew_n which_o vow_v neither_o to_o eat_v nor_o drink_v until_o they_o have_v kill_v paul_n for_o how_o can_v they_o with_o common_a honesty_n act._n deny_v their_o brother_n so_o christian_a a_o duty_n so_o on_o the_o other_o side_n with_o what_o face_n can_v they_o crave_v any_o relief_n of_o any_o man_n in_o their_o need_n see_v as_o they_o have_v bind_v themselves_o from_o help_v of_o every_o man_n what_o need_v soever_o he_o have_v but_o as_o the_o devil_n have_v scripture_n for_o that_o he_o say_v so_o have_v these_o man_n too_o for_o a_o man_n destitute_a of_o understanding_n touch_v the_o hand_n and_o become_v surety_n for_o his_o 18._o neighbour_n say_v solomon_n therefore_o suertiship_n be_v unlawful_a say_v they_o for_o every_o object_n his_o neighbour_n and_o be_v in_o debt_n be_v every_o one_o therefore_o a_o riotous_a person_n that_o borrow_v and_o owe_v or_o a_o mad_a man_n walk_v up_o and_o down_o with_o a_o sword_n be_v every_o one_o therefore_o which_o walk_v with_o a_o sword_n become_v a_o mad_a man_n or_o a_o scholar_n of_o cambridge_n go_v in_o black_a therefore_o be_v every_o one_o that_o go_v in_o black_a a_o scholar_n man_n be_v a_o man_n destitute_a of_o understanding_n but_o yet_o every_o one_o be_v not_o destitute_a of_o understanding_n that_o become_v surety_n for_o wise_a man_n be_v well_o advise_v in_o that_o they_o do_v so_o again_o on_o the_o other_o side_n some_o man_n that_o have_v no_o love_n to_o god_n nor_o his_o neighbour_n refuse_v to_o become_v surety_n for_o any_o man_n shall_v we_o now_o conclude_v that_o he_o which_o refuse_v to_o become_v surety_n for_o every_o one_o have_v no_o love_n to_o god_n nor_o his_o neighbour_n this_o conclusion_n be_v but_o of_o a_o bad_a constitution_n
