exercise_v themselves_o in_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n by_o make_v a_o distinction_n betwixt_o counsel_n and_o precept_n cut_v the_o sinew_n of_o a_o christian_a life_n and_o how_o please_v soever_o this_o doctrine_n may_v seem_v to_o carnal_a man_n in_o that_o it_o give_v they_o hope_n that_o they_o may_v be_v excuse_v from_o the_o severe_a and_o weighty_a duty_n of_o the_o law_n but_o that_o this_o doctrine_n be_v false_a particular_o with_o respect_n to_o the_o oracle_n of_o the_o text_n and_o the_o rest_n in_o this_o chapter_n be_v evident_a from_o hence_o because_o christ_n speak_v to_o all_o his_o disciple_n and_o all_o that_o call_v themselves_o christian_n own_o themselves_o to_o be_v so_o and_o therefore_o all_o must_v fall_v under_o the_o obligation_n and_o be_v not_o we_o all_o fond_a of_o be_v child_n of_o our_o father_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n and_o if_o the_o child_n of_o god_n be_v oblige_v to_o these_o self-denial_n can_v any_o of_o we_o excuse_v ourselves_o from_o the_o duty_n since_o there_o be_v none_o of_o we_o but_o what_o be_v desirous_a to_o be_v honour_v with_o that_o title_n i_o will_v not_o deny_v but_o there_o be_v some_o evangelical_n life_n nor_o compare_v their_o behaviour_n with_o the_o particular_a rule_n of_o the_o gospel_n which_o if_o they_o do_v they_o will_v find_v that_o there_o be_v always_o something_o to_o reform_v to_o amend_v to_o rectify_v and_o to_o set_v in_o order_n something_o to_o remove_n and_o something_o to_o plant_v something_o to_o meliorate_v and_o something_o to_o dislodge_v in_o a_o word_n that_o some_o other_o virtue_n beside_o those_o they_o have_v already_o be_v to_o be_v object_n of_o their_o love_n and_o delight_n that_o person_n who_o content_v himself_o with_o his_o be_v free_a from_o scandalous_a sin_n stop_v there_o and_o look_n after_o no_o great_a perfection_n most_o certain_o disobey_v the_o word_n of_o the_o text_n for_o how_o do_v he_o endeavour_v after_o perfection_n that_o part_n with_o one_o sin_n and_o please_v himself_o with_o another_o and_o with_o the_o pharisee_fw-mi cry_n i_o thank_v thou_o o_o god_n that_o i_o be_o not_o as_o other_o man_n unjust_a adulterous_a opportunity_n to_o lull_v he_o into_o a_o slumber_n from_o whence_o he_o seldom_o awake_v till_o god_n call_v upon_o he_o in_o a_o terrible_a accent_n thou_o fool_n this_o night_n thy_o soul_n shall_v be_v take_v from_o thou_o and_o who_o shall_v be_v what_o thou_o have_v provide_v iu
