and_o shall_v have_v too_o little_a but_o god_n give_v much_o to_o humble_a suitor_n judgement_n and_o his_o judgement_n and_o neither_o the_o prophet_n do_v ask_v nor_o god_n do_v give_v the_o earnest_n and_o pledge_n of_o this_o judgement_n only_o but_o judgement_n itself_o to_o the_o king_n and_o certain_o the_o king_n have_v need_n to_o pray_v thus_o and_o so_o have_v the_o people_n as_o great_a need_n as_o the_o king_n for_o if_o this_o prayer_n be_v not_o make_v what_o assurance_n have_v you_o that_o god_n will_v give_v and_o if_o god_n will_v not_o give_v the_o king_n can_v have_v and_o if_o the_o king_n can_v receive_v justice_n and_o judgement_n he_o can_v distribute_v it_o to_o the_o people_n v._n 2._o and_o if_o judgement_n be_v not_o distribute_v to_o the_o people_n there_o will_v be_v no_o peace_n vers._n 3._o and_o where_o the_o people_n do_v not_o receive_v judgement_n from_o the_o king_n and_o peace_n from_o themselves_o what_o be_v they_o nothing_o but_o a_o heap_n of_o most_o infirm_a and_o miserable_a creature_n which_o you_o can_v never_o be_v as_o long_o as_o god_n give_v his_o judgement_n to_o the_o king_n and_o his_o righteousness_n to_o the_o king_n sonneâ—_n i_o have_v now_o do_v with_o the_o first_o general_a part_n of_o the_o text_n and_o it_o be_v time_n to_o descend_v from_o the_o king_n to_o his_o son_n the_o second_o part_n of_o the_o father_n prayer_n and_o thy_o righteousness_n to_o the_o king_n son_n give_v lord_n where_o first_o thougâ—_z it_o be_v not_o express_v in_o the_o text_n it_o may_v easy_o be_v conceiuâ—d_a that_o such_o a_o king_n as_o david_n pray_v for_o a_o son_n before_o he_o pray_v for_o righteousness_n to_o be_v give_v he_o and_o though_o david_n have_v divers_a son_n before_o yet_o in_o some_o respect_n or_o other_o they_o be_v all_o to_o david_n as_o no_o son_n therefore_o there_o be_v no_o question_n to_o be_v make_v but_o he_o pray_v for_o he_o i_o and_o therefore_o too_o when_o god_n have_v give_v he_o solomon_n he_o call_v he_o not_o bare_a his_o son_n but_o his_o only_a son_n chro._n 29._o and_o no_o marvel_n since_o he_o be_v that_o son_n that_o god_n himself_o appoint_v to_o succeed_v in_o the_o kingdom_n for_o david_n 1_o chron._n 28._o and_o such_o a_o son_n be_v always_o worth_a the_o pray_n for_o well_o but_o what_o then_o when_o god_n have_v give_v david_n solomon_n when_o god_n have_v give_v any_o other_o king_n a_o son_n as_o he_o have_v give_v our_o gracious_a king_n god_n name_n be_v ever_o bless_v what_o then_o be_v the_o king_n prayer_n then_o or_o the_o people_n at_o a_o end_n no_o nothing_o less_o nay_o there_o be_v more_o need_v a_o great_a deal_n both_o for_o the_o king_n and_o for_o the_o people_n to_o go_v on_o in_o their_o prayer_n as_o david_n do_v that_o the_o same_o god_n that_o have_v give_v his_o judgement_n to_o the_o king_n will_v proceed_v and_o give_v his_o righteousness_n to_o the_o king_n son_n for_o it_o be_v a_o great_a blessing_n to_o the_o king_n when_o god_n give_v his_o righteousness_n to_o his_o son_n than_o when_o he_o give_v he_o a_o son_n for_o if_o solomon_n succeed_v not_o david_n in_o his_o love_n to_o the_o temple_n as_o well_o as_o the_o throne_n if_o he_o inherit_v not_o the_o truth_n of_o his_o father_n religion_n as_o well_o as_o the_o right_a of_o his_o crown_n if_o he_o follow_v not_o his_o father_n devotion_n and_o pray_v for_o justice_n and_o judgement_n to_o be_v give_v he_o as_o well_o as_o other_o temporary_a blessing_n the_o very_a blessing_n of_o the_o son_n will_v end_v in_o bitterness_n and_o be_v the_o discomfort_n and_o dishonour_n of_o the_o father_n but_o it_o be_v the_o wise_a and_o prudent_a son_n that_o be_v the_o father_n crown_n and_o the_o mother_n joy_n prov._n 10_o and_o then_o the_o blessing_n of_o a_o son_n be_v a_o blessing_n indeed_o david_n see_v this_o therefore_o he_o continue_v his_o prayer_n and_o it_o be_v more_o than_o fit_a for_o other_o king_n to_o do_v so_o too_o thy_o judgement_n lord_n give_v the_o king_n and_o thy_o righteousness_n to_o the_o king_n son_n and_o for_o the_o people_n they_o have_v great_a need_n not_o only_o to_o say_v amen_n to_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o king_n but_o to_o repeat_v the_o prayer_n and_o with_o fervency_n to_o drive_v it_o in_o at_o the_o ear_n of_o god_n that_o so_o their_o child_n after_o they_o may_v be_v as_o happy_a under_o the_o son_n as_o they_o themselves_o be_v under_o the_o father_n while_o god_n give_v both_o the_o father_n and_o the_o son_n zeal_n to_o his_o truth_n and_o judgement_n over_o his_o people_n and_o here_o i_o shall_v take_v occasion_n to_o tell_v you_o of_o the_o care_n and_o devotion_n of_o our_o david_n in_o his_o day_n and_o of_o his_o prayer_n both_o for_o himself_o and_o his_o son_n but_o that_o the_o age_n be_v so_o bad_a that_o they_o will_v not_o believe_v that_o he_o be_v so_o good_a beyond_o they_o and_o some_o for_o they_o be_v but_o some_o be_v so_o waspish_o set_v to_o sting_v that_o nothing_o can_v please_v their_o ear_n unless_o it_o sharpen_v their_o edge_n against_o authoâ—ity_n but_o take_v heed_n for_o if_o this_o faâ—lt_n be_v not_o amend_v justice_n may_v seize_v upon_o they_o that_o be_v guilty_a god_n know_v how_o soon_o and_o the_o king_n judgement_n
