one_o at_o the_o first_o thereby_o most_o near_o unite_n man_n and_o wife_n in_o their_o first_o creation_n therefore_o to_o seek_v to_o break_v this_o union_n be_v to_o sin_n against_o the_o first_o creation_n of_o mankind_n and_o to_o seek_v to_o abolish_v that_o natural_a union_n by_o which_o god_n do_v tie_v and_o unite_v man_n and_o wife_n together_o in_o their_o creation_n now_o if_o this_o be_v so_o great_a a_o sin_n for_o any_o to_o go_v about_o by_o unjust_a divorcement_n to_o untie_v or_o break_v in_o sunder_o the_o marriage_n bond_n then_o how_o much_o more_o heinous_a be_v the_o sin_n of_o adultery_n either_o in_o the_o husband_n or_o in_o the_o wife_n by_o which_o the_o marriage_n bond_n be_v actual_o break_v and_o dissolve_v and_o so_o that_o union_n quite_o frustrate_a and_o make_v void_a which_o god_n do_v make_v betwixt_o man_n and_o wife_n in_o their_o first_o creation_n now_o follow_v the_o second_o thing_n in_o the_o word_n or_o second_o part_n of_o this_o decree_n or_o sanction_n of_o god_n here_o allege_v by_o our_o saviour_n viz._n touch_v the_o special_a duty_n of_o man_n and_o wife_n which_o by_o god_n ordinance_n they_o owe_v and_o be_v to_o another_o case_n luke_n 14._o 26._o if_o any_o man_n come_v to_o i_o and_o hate_v not_o his_o father_n and_o mother_n etc._n etc._n not_o simple_o but_o in_o comparison_n of_o his_o love_n to_o christ_n etc._n etc._n now_o more_o particular_o this_o forsake_v of_o a_o man_n natural_a parent_n in_o comparison_n of_o his_o wife_n be_v to_o be_v understand_v in_o three_o respect_n principal_o 1._o in_o regard_n of_o the_o affection_n of_o love_n which_o he_o be_v to_o withdraw_v from_o his_o parent_n though_o not_o simple_o yet_o in_o comparison_n of_o his_o wife_n love_v she_o with_o a_o more_o special_a love_n than_o his_o parent_n 2._o in_o regard_n of_o the_o duty_n of_o subjection_n and_o obedience_n to_o the_o power_n and_o authority_n of_o his_o parent_n from_o which_o subjection_n the_o marry_a man_n or_o husband_n be_v in_o some_o sort_n free_v after_o marriage_n though_o not_o absolute_o yet_o so_o far_o as_o that_o subjection_n be_v any_o hindrance_n to_o he_o in_o the_o duty_n of_o cleave_v to_o his_o wife_n so_o that_o now_o he_o be_v more_o his_o own_o man_n then_o before_o and_o more_o free_a from_o that_o kind_n of_o subjection_n to_o his_o parent_n power_n unto_o which_o he_o be_v tie_v before_o 3._o in_o regard_n of_o habitation_n or_o dwell_n with_o his_o parent_n in_o the_o same_o house_n or_o family_n unto_o which_o the_o husband_n be_v no_o long_o tie_v as_o before_o but_o may_v lawful_o depart_v out_o of_o the_o house_n and_o family_n of_o his_o parent_n to_o dwell_v apart_o with_o his_o wife_n and_o so_o to_o erect_v a_o family_n of_o his_o own_o if_o he_o so_o desire_v to_o do_v and_o that_o it_o be_v most_o convenient_a for_o he_o either_o in_o regard_n of_o his_o spiritual_a or_o temporal_a estate_n see_v psal_n 45._o 10._o here_o note_n that_o this_o which_o be_v speak_v of_o the_o husband_n forsake_v of_o his_o parent_n in_o comparison_n of_o his_o wife_n be_v by_o the_o same_o reason_n to_o be_v understand_v of_o the_o wife_n that_o she_o be_v in_o like_a manner_n to_o forsake_v her_o parent_n in_o comparison_n of_o her_o husband_n and_o of_o that_o duty_n she_o owe_v to_o he_o so_o that_o here_o be_v employ_v the_o duty_n of_o both_o marry_a person_n both_o of_o the_o husband_n and_o wife_n it_o follow_v and_o shall_v cleave_v to_o his_o wife_n or_o be_v glue_v unto_o she_o as_o the_o word_n in_o the_o original_a signify_v that_o be_v he_o shall_v be_v most_o near_o and_o inseparable_o soyn_v to_o she_o and_o so_o constant_o keep_v himself_o in_o the_o marry_a estate_n and_o this_o also_o though_o it_o be_v speak_v express_o of_o the_o husband_n yet_o be_v to_o be_v understand_v also_o of_o the_o wife_n that_o she_o shall_v most_o near_o and_o unseparable_o be_v join_v and_o keep_v herself_o unto_o her_o own_o husband_n the_o word_n thus_o open_v do_v contain_v in_o they_o a_o twofold_a duty_n require_v of_o marry_a couple_n in_o respect_n of_o that_o near_a union_n which_o be_v betwixt_o knit_v together_o by_o god_n ordinance_n this_o be_v the_o straight_a of_o all_o other_o bond_n of_o nature_n affinity_n and_o kindred_n whatsoever_o but_o more_o of_o this_o afterward_o observe_v 2_o that_o be_v between_o any_o other_o friend_n and_o kindred_n though_o never_o so_o near_o even_o the_o love_n of_o child_n to_o parent_n etc._n etc._n for_o they_o be_v to_o forsake_v their_o own_o aught_o to_o appear_v and_o show_v itself_o by_o the_o effect_n of_o it_o one_o towards_o another_o as_o 1._o by_o give_v special_a honour_n and_o respect_n to_o each_o other_o the_o husband_n be_v true_o and_o entire_o affect_v above_o all_o other_o the_o cause_n of_o great_a discontentment_n afterward_o in_o the_o marry_a estate_n yea_o upon_o this_o oftentimes_o follow_v a_o most_o uncomfortable_a and_o hellish_a life_n between_o the_o husband_n and_o wife_n observe_v 3_o observe_v 3._o in_o that_o marry_a person_n be_v to_o forsake_v their_o parent_n in_o comparison_n of_o their_o husband_n and_o wife_n in_o respect_n of_o that_o subjection_n unto_o the_o power_n of_o parents_n whereunto_o they_o be_v tie_v before_o marriage_n hence_o we_o may_v gather_v that_o parent_n but_o hypocrite_n and_o wicked_a person_n ezek._n 33._o 31._o the_o rebellious_a jew_n vouchsafe_v to_o come_v and_o sit_v before_o the_o prophet_n and_o to_o hear_v his_o word_n but_o will_v not_o be_v negligent_a in_o hear_v the_o word_n if_o they_o repent_v not_o of_o this_o sin_n and_o reform_v it_o in_o themselves_o use_v 2_o use_v 2._o much_o more_o this_o condemn_v such_o as_o be_v not_o latter_a time_n be_v call_v of_o god_n to_o suffer_v for_o christ_n cause_n and_o the_o gospel_n be_v content_a to_o part_v with_o the_o thing_n most_o dear_a to_o they_o in_o this_o world_n as_o be_v dear_a to_o we_o as_o our_o good_n friend_n etc._n etc._n either_o immediate_o by_o his_o own_o hand_n or_o else_o by_o mean_n for_o example_n when_o he_o take_v from_o we_o our_o worldly_a good_n and_o substance_n or_o any_o part_n of_o it_o either_o by_o his_o own_o immediate_a hand_n or_o otherwise_o by_o mean_n as_o by_o thief_n and_o robber_n or_o by_o fire_n or_o water_n etc._n etc._n or_o other_o casualty_n happen_v to_o we_o in_o our_o outward_a estate_n as_o he_o do_v to_o job_n then_o it_o be_v our_o duty_n willing_o to_o forsake_v and_o part_n with_o those_o thing_n which_o the_o lord_n do_v thus_o take_v from_o we_o as_o job_n do_v heb._n 11._o 34._o so_o when_o god_n take_v from_o we_o our_o friend_n by_o death_n as_o parent_n child_n wife_n etc._n etc._n or_o otherwise_o do_v separate_v they_o from_o we_o we_o ought_v willing_o to_o part_n with_o they_o it_o be_v report_v of_o luther_n that_o when_o a_o daughter_n of_o his_o be_v sick_a etc._n etc._n he_o must_v either_o part_v with_o they_o or_o else_o make_v shipwreck_n of_o conscience_n as_o it_o be_v with_o the_o martyr_n be_v urge_v to_o deny_v the_o truth_n or_o to_o yield_v to_o idolatry_n and_o superstition_n etc._n etc._n in_o this_o case_n god_n call_v we_o to_o forsake_v that_o be_v most_o dear_a to_o we_o of_o the_o second_o the_o second_o time_n in_o which_o god_n call_v we_o to_o forsake_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v dear_a to_o we_o in_o this_o world_n be_v at_o the_o time_n of_o our_o death_n when_o we_o be_v to_o leave_v and_o go_v out_o of_o this_o world_n and_o consequent_o to_o forsake_v all_o thing_n in_o it_o for_o as_o we_o bring_v nothing_o into_o the_o world_n so_o we_o can_v carry_v nothing_o with_o we_o out_o of_o it_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v 1_o tim._n 6._o 7._o the_o use_v of_o this_o doctrine_n be_v the_o same_o in_o effect_n with_o those_o of_o the_o second_o doctrine_n or_o observation_n gather_v from_o the_o former_a verse_n see_v they_o there_o
