have_v thou_o to_o join_v idol_n with_o i_o in_o my_o worship_n so_o i_o will_v not_o have_v thou_o to_o worship_n and_o call_v upon_o i_o in_o a_o idol_n or_o after_o a_o idolatrous_a manner_n but_o in_o spirit_n and_o truth_n pure_o &_o sincere_o where_o the_o lord_n show_v first_o that_o the_o church_n shall_v not_o only_o worship_v he_o but_o also_o that_o she_o shall_v worship_v he_o alone_o we_o for_o then_o the_o marriage_n bond_n be_v break_v the_o marriage_n also_o shall_v be_v dissolve_v which_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n in_o this_o place_n and_o these_o be_v the_o thing_n to_o be_v observe_v out_o of_o the_o perpetuity_n righteous_a whosoever_o be_v marry_v unto_o christ_n be_v make_v righteous_a of_o this_o marriage_n out_o of_o the_o property_n and_o impute_v unto_o they_o by_o which_o they_o be_v justify_v in_o god_n sight_n but_o also_o be_v make_v righteous_a by_o the_o sanctification_n of_o his_o spirit_n dwell_v in_o they_o the_o which_o their_o righteousness_n consist_v in_o the_o integrity_n and_o uprightness_n of_o their_o heart_n and_o in_o their_o earnest_n and_o sincere_a desire_n and_o endeavour_v to_o perform_v obedience_n unto_o god_n commandment_n the_o which_o their_o obedience_n be_v in_o this_o life_n mingle_v with_o manifold_a infirmity_n and_o imperfection_n but_o shall_v become_v perfect_a in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v second_o we_o learn_v that_o though_o this_o righteousness_n be_v perpetual_a our_o righteousness_n constant_a and_o perpetual_a weak_a and_o imperfect_a yet_o shall_v it_o be_v perpetual_a even_o as_o our_o marriage_n with_o christ_n be_v perpetual_a and_o eternal_a and_o therefore_o although_o we_o must_v work_v out_o our_o salvation_n with_o fear_n and_o tremble_a and_o labour_v earnest_o to_o have_v this_o our_o righteousness_n more_o and_o more_o strengthen_v and_o increase_v yet_o when_o we_o feel_v our_o slow_a progress_n in_o the_o path_n of_o righteousness_n and_o find_v it_o mingle_v with_o our_o great_a corruption_n and_o imperfection_n like_o a_o few_o grain_n of_o corn_n in_o a_o heap_n of_o chaff_n let_v we_o not_o be_v utter_o discourage_v as_o fear_v lest_o this_o little_a spark_n of_o righteousness_n will_v be_v altogether_o quench_v with_o the_o flood_n of_o our_o corruption_n see_v the_o lord_n have_v promise_v that_o as_o this_o his_o covenant_n of_o marriage_n with_o we_o shall_v be_v perpetual_a so_o also_o that_o it_o shall_v for_o ever_o continue_v in_o righteousness_n etc._n etc._n three_o whereas_o the_o lord_n promise_v that_o he_o will_v marry_v christ_n our_o righteousness_n be_v not_o the_o cause_n of_o our_o union_n with_o christ_n his_o church_n in_o righteousness_n not_o by_o choose_v she_o be_v righteous_a but_o by_o make_v her_o righteous_a be_v choose_v hence_o we_o learn_v that_o our_o own_o righteousness_n be_v not_o the_o cause_n of_o this_o holy_a and_o happy_a union_n but_o that_o this_o union_n and_o on_o the_o other_o side_n object_v the_o cross_n and_o manifold_a persecution_n which_o the_o professor_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v subject_a unto_o as_o a_o reproach_n to_o their_o religion_n but_o see_v so_o many_o sin_n be_v not_o only_o commit_v but_o also_o tolerate_v yea_o defend_v and_o countenance_v in_o that_o church_n their_o immunity_n from_o affliction_n and_o punishment_n can_v be_v no_o sign_n of_o god_n love_n but_o rather_o that_o in_o his_o heavy_a displeasure_n he_o have_v give_v they_o over_o as_o a_o desperate_a cure_n and_o because_o by_o no_o mean_n they_o will_v be_v reclaim_v from_o their_o superstition_n idolatrye_n adultery_n and_o other_o enormous_a crime_n that_o therefore_o they_o be_v give_v up_o to_o a_o reprobate_a sense_n and_o to_o their_o own_o in_o their_o evil_a course_n see_v nothing_o aught_o to_o be_v a_o great_a terror_n unto_o they_o then_o this_o that_o the_o lord_n leave_v they_o to_o themselves_o and_o withholdeth_a from_o they_o this_o wholesome_a mean_n of_o their_o amendment_n last_o it_o serve_v for_o the_o comfort_n of_o god_n child_n when_o as_o they_o be_v sharp_o afflict_v for_o their_o sin_n see_v this_o be_v no_o
