understanding_n shall_v general_o be_v so_o dim-sighted_a as_o that_o they_o can_v not_o through_o diversity_n of_o circumstance_n discern_v how_o to_o take_v right_a measure_n of_o their_o action_n from_o they_o they_o will_v be_v insufficient_a as_o to_o we_o but_o we_o shall_v find_v a_o great_a deficiency_n of_o example_n in_o holy_a writ_n in_o that_o there_o be_v thousand_o of_o action_n which_o be_v to_o be_v govern_v by_o religion_n as_o indeed_o all_o our_o action_n be_v of_o which_o we_o can_v find_v no_o suitable_a example_n in_o scripture_n i_o need_v not_o theophilus_n give_v you_o nor_o myself_o the_o trouble_n of_o gather_v together_o many_o instance_n of_o action_n to_o show_v what_o i_o now_o say_v let_v man_n in_o the_o diversity_n of_o calling_n that_o be_v in_o the_o world_n and_o in_o the_o many_o relation_n that_o they_o stand_v in_o unto_o other_o consider_v their_o own_o action_n and_o amid_o all_o the_o example_n of_o scripture_n they_o will_v see_v themselves_o leave_v alone_o not_o have_v a_o sure_a light_n from_o any_o of_o they_o whence_o from_o the_o uncertainty_n and_o insufficiency_n of_o the_o example_n as_o well_o as_o from_o the_o want_n of_o authority_n in_o the_o person_n no_o example_n be_v obligatory_a unto_o we_o nor_o to_o be_v imitate_v any_o further_a than_o they_o have_v the_o law_n of_o christ_n for_o their_o rule_n and_o warrant_n theoph._n but_o eubulus_n our_o bless_a lord_n want_v no_o authority_n in_o his_o person_n and_o his_o example_n be_v perfect_a and_o what_o other_o example_n can_v not_o do_v his_o may_v may_v it_o not_o eubul_n we_o will_v therefore_o consider_v the_o action_n of_o our_o lord_n than_o who_o there_o never_o be_v neither_o can_v be_v a_o better_a pattern_n in_o the_o world_n and_o yet_o we_o shall_v find_v that_o none_o of_o they_o from_o his_o example_n mere_o and_o without_o a_o law_n do_v lay_v a_o absolute_a obligation_n upon_o we_o to_o imitate_v they_o 1._o some_o of_o they_o be_v miraculous_a action_n and_o as_o such_o we_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o imitate_v they_o for_o no_o man_n be_v oblige_v to_o do_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v beyond_o the_o power_n which_o god_n ever_o give_v he_o or_o have_v promise_v to_o bestow_v upon_o he_o such_o action_n as_o these_o be_v the_o accomplishment_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n above_o all_o other_o neither_o have_v he_o nor_o ever_o will_v he_o impart_v the_o ability_n of_o do_v the_o like_a unless_o upon_o extraordinary_a occasion_n and_o for_o the_o obtain_v the_o chief_a end_n the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o salvation_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n when_o they_o can_v reasonable_o be_v compass_v without_o such_o miraculous_a act_n as_o at_o the_o first_o spread_v the_o gospel_n they_o can_v be_v a_o prince_n do_v belong_v unto_o he_o of_o this_o sort_n be_v his_o send_n for_o the_o ass_n and_o colt_n without_o so_o much_o as_o have_v the_o owner_n leave_v or_o acquaint_v he_o with_o what_o he_o do_v matth._n 21.2_o as_o also_o be_v his_o drive_v the_o buyer_n and_o seller_n with_o a_o scourge_n out_o of_o the_o temple_n and_o overthrow_v the_o table_n of_o the_o money-changer_n mat._n 21.12_o neither_o be_v these_o to_o be_v imitate_v by_o we_o as_o we_o be_v private_a men._n whosoever_o shall_v take_v away_o that_o which_o be_v another_o without_o his_o leave_n and_o licence_n and_o shall_v use_v it_o as_o their_o own_o will_v be_v guilty_a of_o injustice_n and_o so_o whosoever_o as_o a_o private_a person_n shall_v take_v upon_o he_o magisterial_o to_o new_a those_o offence_n which_o they_o have_v commit_v and_o if_o ever_o sin_n can_v be_v improve_v aright_o it_o be_v when_o they_o be_v make_v incitement_n to_o more_o duty_n and_o last_o the_o sin_n which_o they_o through_o frailty_n daily_o run_v into_o and_o can_v by_o all_o care_n and_o diligence_n be_v whole_o free_a from_o do_v excite_v and_o prompt_v they_o to_o long_o for_o that_o happy_a habitation_n among_o the_o tent_n of_o kedar_n o_o that_o they_o have_v wing_n like_o a_o dove_n then_o will_v they_o fly_v away_o and_o be_v at_o rest_n they_o will_v say_v come_v lord_n jesus_n come_v quick_o that_o so_o they_o with_o all_o those_o depart_v this_o life_n in_o the_o true_a faith_n and_o fear_v of_o god_n may_v have_v their_o perfect_a consummation_n and_o bliss_n both_o in_o crimson_a one_o not_o for_o the_o beauty_n of_o the_o colour_n we_o may_v be_v sure_a but_o for_o the_o depth_n of_o the_o stain_n for_o who_o can_v make_v scarlet_a as_o snow_n or_o crimson_a white_a as_o wool_n see_v we_o first_o the_o sin_n of_o their_o nature_n and_o this_o indeed_o be_v not_o in_o itself_o great_a than_o that_o of_o the_o better_a sort_n of_o men._n for_o all_o man_n in_o adam_n sin_v equal_o neither_o be_v one_o more_o guilty_a of_o that_o sin_n than_o another_o but_o then_o herein_o consist_v the_o great_a deformity_n of_o wicked_a man_n in_o respect_n of_o
