be_v not_o man_n more_o warm_o concern_v for_o the_o honour_n and_o interest_n of_o their_o party_n or_o themselves_o than_o they_o be_v real_o desirous_a to_o understand_v the_o mind_n of_o christ_n for_o if_o any_o one_o true_o give_v himself_o up_o to_o do_v his_o will_n he_o will_v not_o be_v apt_a to_o enter_v into_o needless_a contest_v about_o what_o be_v not_o practical_a nor_o strive_v most_o to_o know_v what_o be_v not_o to_o be_v do_v and_o then_o when_o he_o come_v to_o the_o question_n so_o much_o of_o his_o lord_n will_n he_o will_v at_o first_o observe_v as_o to_o be_v modest_a and_o meek_a and_o tractable_a not_o suffer_v his_o passion_n and_o animosity_n to_o join_v in_o the_o enquiry_n he_o will_v not_o bring_v so_o much_o as_o a_o wish_n on_o one_o part_n much_o less_o shall_v any_o humane_a pre-ingagement_n decide_v the_o controversy_n and_o if_o so_o one_o can_v but_o think_v and_o sure_o we_o be_v not_o in_o this_o partial_a ourselves_o that_o the_o papal_a infallibility_n for_o example_n and_o their_o transubstantiation_n will_v be_v no_o long_o defend_v nor_o their_o gross_a falsehood_n be_v set_v up_o for_o catholic_n truth_n neither_o on_o the_o other_o side_n will_v ancient_a laudable_a practice_n be_v any_o long_a idolatrous_a and_o antichristian_a be_v we_o not_o carnal_a and_o walk_v we_o not_o as_o man_n favour_v ourselves_o and_o know_v in_o the_o same_o manner_n happy_a it_o will_v be_v for_o the_o art_n say_v a_o ancient_n if_o none_o but_o the_o skilful_a and_o the_o artist_n judge_v of_o they_o and_o no_o less_o happy_a will_v it_o be_v for_o religion_n if_o only_o the_o true_o religious_a and_o the_o sincere_a christian_a be_v to_o determine_v the_o point_n in_o difference_n this_o advantage_n will_v undoubted_o result_v that_o the_o disputer_n will_v not_o be_v very_o many_o as_o well_o as_o that_o the_o dispute_n will_v be_v no_o more_o than_o necessary_a fair_o debate_v and_o soon_o compose_v whereas_o now_o all_o religious_a controversy_n be_v manage_v like_o war_n for_o religion_n raise_v and_o fight_v not_o always_o by_o the_o most_o religious_a men._n the_o question_n be_v concern_v some_o point_n of_o faith_n or_o manner_n and_o shall_v be_v argue_v by_o godly_a spirit_n but_o the_o world_n and_o the_o flesh_n they_o come_v in_o and_o intermeddle_v and_o they_o be_v as_o auxiliary_n on_o either_o side_n who_o interest_n it_o be_v the_o cause_n shall_v never_o be_v decide_v for_o be_v not_o christianity_n divide_v what_o enemy_n will_v it_o have_v but_o those_o its_o swear_a enemy_n against_o who_o it_o have_v declare_v in_o baptism_n and_o against_o these_o it_o will_v then_o join_v its_o unite_a force_n in_o a_o holy_a league_n and_o never_o cease_v until_o they_o be_v entire_o subdue_v in_o these_o many_o difference_n of_o think_v concern_v our_o saviour_n person_n and_o pleasure_n we_o pious_o hope_v that_o he_o will_v merciful_o consider_v the_o infirmity_n and_o error_n of_o man_n and_o accept_v the_o service_n of_o the_o well-meaning_n pardon_v their_o ignorance_n and_o want_n of_o discernment_n if_o not_o too_o careless_a and_o too_o wilful_a but_o lest_o we_o betray_v ourselves_o and_o other_o into_o a_o further_a mistake_n we_o shall_v do_v well_o to_o take_v along_o with_o we_o this_o his_o observation_n and_o remember_v that_o general_o all_o our_o ignorance_n be_v wilful_a for_o want_v of_o will_n to_o do_v god_n will._n and_o when_o ignorance_n shall_v come_v to_o be_v plead_v in_o the_o day_n when_o he_o shall_v judge_v the_o secret_n of_o man_n heart_n it_o may_v then_o amount_v to_o no_o better_a a_o excuse_n than_o if_o instead_o
