where_o we_o shall_v be_v so_o fill_v with_o all_o comfort_n as_o we_o shall_v joy_v continual_o for_o we_o shall_v sing_v night_n and_o day_n the_o place_n also_o add_v unto_o our_o happiness_n needs_o must_v heaven_n be_v excellent_a as_o be_v prepare_v by_o god_n for_o himself_o to_o set_v forth_o his_o magnificence_n what_o it_o be_v within_o appear_v by_o its_o glorious_a outside_n and_o precept_n upon_o precept_n other_o be_v so_o wretched_a as_o that_o by_o no_o mean_n they_o will_v be_v reclaim_v yea_o oftentimes_o they_o may_v receive_v unkindeness_n where_o they_o lest_o expect_v it_o people_n count_v our_o labour_n nothing_o which_o yet_o we_o find_v such_o as_o we_o be_v scarce_o able_a to_o undergo_v other_o grudge_v at_o our_o maintenance_n otherwhile_o we_o shall_v have_v deliver_v thing_n never_o so_o careful_o be_v tax_v by_o some_o of_o ignorance_n by_o other_o of_o malice_n 7._o other_o will_v raise_v up_o lie_n and_o slander_n against_o we_o and_o so_o requite_v incorruptible_a crown_n will_v pay_v for_o all_o we_o must_v look_v up_o to_o that_o contrary_o what_o will_v be_v the_o reward_n and_o end_n of_o all_o unfaithful_a minister_n that_o starve_v and_o mislead_v their_o flock_n that_o live_v in_o jollity_n and_o at_o ease_n &_o c_o oh_o their_o reward_n will_v be_v with_o the_o unfaithful_a servant_n to_o be_v take_v and_o bind_v hand_n and_o foot_n and_o throw_v into_o utter_a darkness_n then_o shall_v they_o pay_v for_o all_o the_o wage_n take_v without_o do_v any_o work_n so_o for_o all_o their_o ease_n which_o will_v be_v turn_v into_o pain_n of_o people_n towards_o their_o minister_n be_v here_o teach_v as_o the_o word_n likewise_o seem_v to_o imply_v or_o elder_n may_v well_o be_v take_v for_o elder_n in_o age_n proper_o and_o so_o the_o young_a in_o like_a sort_n for_o the_o young_a sort_n of_o people_n and_o so_o the_o duty_n of_o youth_n towards_o they_o that_o be_v age_v be_v here_o teach_v as_o it_o may_v well_o be_v and_o the_o more_o likely_a

be_v in_o every_o corner_n instruct_v each_o in_o their_o duty_n they_o must_v find_v out_o what_o be_v the_o special_a fault_n of_o youth_n as_o rashness_n pride_n unconstancy_n speak_v against_o they_o and_o labour_v to_o prevent_v or_o cure_v they_o so_o what_o be_v most_o needful_a for_o they_o as_o sobriety_n humility_n discretion_n stayedness_n according_o call_v for_o these_o thus_o must_v they_o do_v with_o the_o age_a speak_v against_o their_o testiness_n and_o covetousness_n and_o call_v upon_o stayedness_n and_o soundness_n in_o all_o good_a judgement_n and_o conversation_n so_o they_o must_v take_v notice_n of_o the_o fault_n most_o incident_a to_o woman_n as_o niceness_n curiosity_n loquacity_n according_o endeavour_v to_o cure_v they_o thereof_o for_o even_o in_o god_n and_o careful_a herein_o so_o people_n must_v be_v content_a nay_o like_v well_o hereof_o not_o repine_v nor_o find_v fault_n with_o their_o minister_n for_o such_o weakness_n and_o fault_n as_o our_o nature_n be_v prone_a to_o neither_o must_v people_n dislike_v and_o say_v what_o can_v the_o minister_n be_v content_a to_o open_v his_o text_n and_o teach_v we_o general_a thing_n but_o he_o must_v meddle_v how_o we_o husband_n live_v with_o our_o wife_n we_o wife_n with_o our_o husband_n how_o we_o behave_v ourselves_o in_o our_o family_n how_o we_o servant_n shall_v do_v our_o work_n &_o c_o this_o be_v a_o ill_a sign_n a_o good_a hearer_n be_v desirous_a the_o word_n shall_v come_v home_o close_o to_o he_o and_o tell_v he_o of_o his_o duty_n yea_o ere_o thou_o come_v to_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o word_n pray_v o_o that_o the_o minister_n may_v come_v home_o close_o to_o my_o corruption_n o_o that_o i_o may_v be_v so_o instruct_v in_o my_o duty_n that_o i_o may_v please_v god_n by_o perform_v the_o same_o yea_o if_o the_o minister_n come_v not_o home_o so_o close_o as_o we_o will_v 14._o we_o shall_v go_v and_o inquire_v of_o he_o of_o our_o duty_n and_o what_o shall_v we_o do_v in_o particular_a consist_v the_o young_a must_v honour_v their_o elder_n as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o five_o commandment_n here_o call_v submit_v themselves_o under_o which_o be_v these_o follow_v when_o they_o see_v you_o dissolute_a disorder_a give_v to_o this_o or_o that_o vice_n sabbath-breaking_a lewd_a company_n riot_n they_o must_v advise_v and_o persuade_v they_o to_o beware_v tell_v they_o from_o their_o own_o observation_n how_o many_o have_v by_o such_o mean_v bring_v themselves_o to_o ruin_n so_o about_o their_o match_v that_o they_o be_v to_o be_v rule_v and_o guide_v by_o their_o parent_n so_o when_o they_o see_v any_o trifle_n out_o their_o time_n and_o defer_v their_o repentance_n and_o live_v riotous_o they_o must_v thus_o from_o their_o own_o experience_n expostulate_v with_o they_o o_o make_v use_n of_o your_o time_n while_o you_o have_v it_o this_o be_v your_o free_a time_n if_o i_o have_v not_o get_v somewhat_o in_o my_o youth_n it_o have_v be_v bad_a with_o i_o now_o be_v so_o dull_a and_o forgetful_a or_o if_o we_o lose_v our_o time_n then_o and_o god_n have_v since_o bring_v we_o to_o repentance_n let_v we_o tell_v they_o from_o our_o own_o miserable_a experience_n o_o take_v heed_n do_v not_o as_o i_o do_v i_o lose_v my_o time_n and_o spend_v it_o away_o foolish_o when_o i_o shall_v have_v learned_a goodness_n and_o now_o how_o dull_a be_o i_o alas_o i_o shall_v never_o come_v to_o any_o great_a matter_n now_o i_o be_o past_a and_o have_v lose_v my_o youth_n if_o it_o have_v not_o be_v god_n unspeakable_a mercy_n i_o have_v perish_v and_o he_o let_v in_o a_o little_a light_n into_o i_o but_o alas_o how_o slow_a of_o capacity_n be_o i_o what_o a_o bad_a memory_n have_v i_o so_o if_o we_o see_v they_o that_o will_v not_o or_o for_o some_o fault_n that_o be_v yet_o in_o he_o as_o some_o be_v just_o blame_v for_o be_v such_o deep_a censurer_n of_o other_o so_o for_o separate_v from_o the_o church_n live_v in_o no_o church_n at_o all_o but_o set_v up_o any_o ignorant_a person_n to_o take_v upon_o they_o the_o office_n of_o preach_v so_o some_o among_o ourselves_o be_v just_o blame_v for_o be_v too_o proud_a give_v to_o censure_v and_o meddle_v with_o matter_n that_o concern_v they_o not_o so_o some_o poor_a man_n that_o have_v nothing_o but_o their_o labour_n and_o a_o family_n depend_v upon_o they_o that_o yet_o be_v negligent_a in_o their_o calling_n and_o look_v to_o live_v of_o other_o and_o it_o may_v be_v go_v to_o three_o or_o four_o sermon_n in_o a_o week_n and_o tarry_v abroad_o a_o day_n or_o two_o here_o three_o or_o four_o there_o or_o as_o some_o go_v from_o house_n to_o house_n and_o live_v of_o other_o who_o though_o they_o can_v talk_v well_o yet_o must_v not_o be_v negligent_a in_o their_o call_v or_o of_o their_o family_n so_o a_o number_n of_o servant_n that_o profess_v religion_n be_v very_o desirous_a to_o hear_v every_o sermon_n who_o yet_o be_v idle_a lazy_a careless_a and_o untrusty_a think_v that_o a_o little_a profession_n of_o goodness_n shall_v bear_v out_o all_o when-as_a thereupon_o there_o be_v more_o require_v at_o their_o hand_n these_o cause_n the_o name_n of_o god_n to_o be_v ill_o speak_v of_o fie_o upon_o it_o it_o be_v your_o master_n duty_n to_o let_v you_o come_v to_o the_o word_n and_o be_v it_o not_o as_o well_o your_o duty_n to_o give_v they_o a_o account_n when_o you_o be_v come_v home_o which_o some_o of_o you_o do_v not_o at_o all_o and_o to_o show_v the_o fruit_n of_o your_o hear_n by_o your_o faithfulness_n in_o your_o may_v find_v nothing_o just_o to_o speak_v ill_o of_o we_o as_o thus_o he_o be_v a_o professor_n 5._o but_o covetous_a idle_a proud_a etc._n etc._n as_o the_o prince_n though_o they_o watch_v daniel_n narrow_o can_v find_v nothing_o against_o he_o but_o in_o the_o cause_n of_o his_o god_n yet_o if_o any_o man_n suffer_v as_o a_o christian_a let_v he_o not_o be_v ashamed_a now_o of_o the_o other_o kind_n of_o suffering_n whereof_o no_o man_n ought_v to_o be_v ashamed_a if_o a_o man_n suffer_v for_o christ_n sake_n his_o christianity_n godliness_n for_o that_o very_a cause_n and_o in_o that_o to_o be_v count_v and_o know_v a_o christian_a among_o papist_n to_o be_v a_o protestant_n among_o common_a protestant_n to_o be_v a_o zealous_a server_n of_o god_n that_o desire_v to_o bring_v into_o practice_n that_o which_o we_o outward_o profess_v we_o need_v not_o care_v who_o know_v we_o be_v such_o shame_n come_v in_o with_o sin_n and_o belong_v to_o sin_n to_o suffer_v for_o goodness_n whether_o it_o be_v by_o word_n or_o deed_n as_o to_o be_v apprehend_v imprison_v put_v in_o iron_n whip_v etc._n etc._n be_v not_o shameful_a but_o glorious_a the_o apostle_n paul_n may_v have_v boast_v more_o of_o his_o iron_n chain_n than_o other_o can_v have_v of_o their_o golden_a chain_n no_o suffering_n be_v base_a if_o it_o be_v for_o a_o good_a cause_n if_o one_o shall_v be_v put_v in_o a_o vile_a dungeon_n drag_v at_o a_o horse_n tale_n etc._n etc._n yet_o be_v for_o the_o cause_n of_o christ_n he_o need_v not_o be_v ashamed_a 1._o this_o rebuke_v all_o such_o that_o be_v ashamed_a of_o goodness_n 1_o and_o to_o be_v ill_o speak_v of_o for_o it_o not_o only_o the_o common_a sort_n who_o be_v ashamed_a of_o no_o evil_n as_o of_o covetuosness_n swear_v sabbath_n break_v etc._n etc._n but_o do_v even_o strive_v who_o shall_v exceed_v other_o therein_o be_v ashamed_a of_o the_o least_o goodness_n and_o will_v not_o be_v see_v with_o a_o bible_n in_o their_o hand_n or_o in_o good_a company_n or_o to_o speak_v a_o good_a word_n lest_o their_o companion_n and_o better_n shall_v upbraid_v they_o no_o beware_v well_o they_o be_v not_o worthy_a of_o the_o honour_n they_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o fear_v it_o but_o other_o that_o have_v some_o goodness_n in_o they_o as_o one_o will_v hope_v that_o be_v yet_o so_o ashamed_a of_o be_v see_v to_o be_v too_o forward_o and_o then_o how_o will_v they_o answer_v that_o to_o god_n 2._o it_o rebuke_n those_o also_o that_o live_n among_o their_o people_n 2._o yet_o care_v not_o thus_o but_o think_v themselves_o discharge_v that_o they_o meet_v they_o at_o church_n on_o the_o sabbath_n and_o then_o preach_v they_o a_o sermon_n whereas_o all_o the_o week_n after_o they_o consider_v not_o of_o they_o nay_o scarce_o visit_v the_o sick_a but_o either_o be_v so_o entangle_v with_o care_n and_o business_n of_o the_o world_n 4._o that_o they_o can_v or_o so_o addict_v to_o their_o pleasure_n that_o they_o will_v not_o mind_v this_o thus_o they_o be_v less_o fit_a for_o preach_v do_v the_o less_o good_a and_o receive_v all_o at_o a_o venture_n to_o the_o sacrament_n which_o be_v a_o fearful_a thing_n 3._o as_o people_n must_v be_v careful_a for_o their_o minister_n who_o have_v need_n of_o no_o worldly_a care_n hang_v on_o they_o that_o they_o may_v attend_v on_o their_o care_n of_o they_o 3_o so_o they_o must_v be_v willing_a that_o their_o minister_n have_v a_o care_n of_o they_o and_o deal_v private_o with_o they_o and_o they_o this_o many_o can_v away_o with_o but_o will_v that_o the_o minister_n shall_v content_v himself_o with_o see_v they_o at_o church_n but_o not_o to_o look_v into_o their_o behaviour_n in_o their_o family_n or_o to_o pry_v into_o their_o life_n or_o deal_v private_o or_o particular_o who_o yet_o if_o they_o have_v a_o shepherd_n look_v that_o he_o shall_v diligent_o tend_v their_o sheep_n all_o day_n and_o look_v to_o they_o particular_o as_o well_o as_o feed_v they_o they_o shall_v be_v glad_a when_o the_o minister_n will_v come_v to_o their_o house_n and_o sit_v with_o they_o confer_v with_o they_o and_o they_o of_o heavenly_a thing_n etc._n etc._n but_o if_o they_o shall_v know_v when_o he_o will_v come_v they_o will_v be_v sure_a to_o be_v out_o of_o the_o way_n this_o be_v a_o sign_n of_o a_o ill_a conscience_n that_o they_o can_v abide_v the_o trial_n and_o which_o be_v worse_o of_o a_o bad_a heart_n that_o be_v not_o willing_a to_o mend_v but_o there_o be_v another_o extremity_n when_o people_n will_v expect_v too_o much_o at_o the_o minister_n hand_n as_o to_o visit_v they_o at_o their_o house_n more_o often_o then_o the_o largeness_n of_o the_o place_n and_o his_o strength_n and_o time_n will_v permit_v which_o though_o it_o be_v a_o good_a fault_n and_o a_o rare_a &_o therefore_o to_o be_v much_o bear_v with_o for_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o comely_a in_o the_o world_n then_o to_o see_v minister_n delight_v in_o their_o people_n company_n and_o people_n in_o they_o and_o thereupon_o to_o be_v much_o together_o yet_o it_o must_v be_v do_v as_o it_o may_v stand_v with_o the_o public_a there_o must_v be_v convenient_a time_n to_o preach_v that_o we_o may_v not_o come_v unprepared_o and_o if_o a_o minister_n preach_v also_o on_o the_o week_n day_n he_o can_v have_v much_o time_n for_o private_a especial_o in_o a_o great_a and_o wide_a parish_n not_o by_o constraint_n but_o willing_o people_n now_o for_o the_o manner_n a_o minister_n be_v not_o to_o perform_v the_o forementioned_a duty_n by_o constraint_n as_o for_o fear_n of_o god_n wrath_n man_n law_n or_o shame_n etc._n etc._n but_o willing_o to_o do_v by_o constraint_n be_v base_a and_o servile_a what_o any_o do_v thus_o they_o do_v but_o homely_a no_o better_a than_o needs_o must_v and_o beside_o what_o hope_v of_o god_n blessing_n can_v they_o expect_v upon_o such_o work_n 17._o god_n love_v a_o willing_a heart_n and_o a_o cheerful_a doer_n 14._o there_o be_v a_o constraint_n that_o be_v good_a whereof_o the_o apostle_n write_v to_o the_o corinthian_n the_o love_n of_o christ_n have_v constrain_v i_o etc._n etc._n namely_o because_o christ_n have_v pardon_v my_o sin_n die_v for_o i_o have_v call_v i_o to_o this_o high_a and_o holy_a call_n to_o be_v his_o ambassador_n to_o his_o people_n have_v entrust_v willingness_n in_o our_o duty_n private_a and_o public_a 2._o when_o we_o find_v any_o loathness_n to_o our_o study_n and_o drousiness_n therein_o le_fw-fr we_o think_v what_o a_o honourable_a call_v we_o be_v and_o that_o whereas_o other_o be_v employ_v on_o earthly_a thing_n we_o be_v in_o the_o scripture_n search_v in_o the_o rich_a treasure_n of_o the_o word_n and_o deal_v altogether_o in_o spiritual_a and_o holy_a thing_n and_o again_o what_o a_o trust_n be_v lay_v up_o with_o we_o and_o what_o weight_n lie_v upon_o we_o and_o what_o a_o reward_n remain_v for_o we_o we_o serve_v a_o good_a master_n in_o a_o excellent_a work_n in_o the_o assurance_n of_o most_o rich_a wage_n 3._o people_n must_v learn_v also_o to_o do_v their_o duty_n 3_o not_o by_o constraint_n but_o willing_o thus_o must_v they_o reverence_v their_o minister_n hear_v they_o obey_v their_o ministry_n allow_v they_o maintenance_n but_o how_o grudge_o do_v most_o pay_v their_o tithe_n which_o be_v for_o want_v of_o find_v good_a by_o the_o word_n they_o shall_v so_o take_v part_n of_o the_o minister_n spiritual_a thing_n as_o they_o may_v put_v themselves_o into_o his_o debt_n and_o see_v cause_n to_o allow_v he_o mean_n o_o suffer_v not_o any_o of_o the_o ten_o part_n to_o cleave_v to_o your_o finger_n neither_o seek_v to_o enrich_v yourselves_o hereby_o but_o by_o the_o remain_v nine_o part_n whoso_o think_v to_o enrich_v themselves_o by_o work_v on_o the_o lord_n day_n or_o keep_v back_o their_o tithe_n deceive_v themselves_o they_o shall_v not_o prosper_v be_v the_o minister_n good_a or_o bad_a give_v he_o willing_o all_o the_o law_n give_v he_o if_o he_o do_v not_o his_o duty_n he_o shall_v answer_v for_o it_o be_v not_o you_o trespasser_n also_o stoppage_n be_v no_o payment_n but_o if_o he_o be_v a_o sufficient_a and_o painful_a minister_n your_o custom_n will_v not_o privilege_v you_o from_o pay_v he_o his_o due_n by_o god_n appointment_n you_o must_v give_v he_o his_o due_n to_o the_o utmost_a and_o he_o be_v worthy_a of_o it_o but_o o_o the_o woeful_a covetousness_n and_o corruption_n of_o man_n in_o this_o behalf_n they_o think_v any_o thing_n enough_o for_o a_o minister_n though_o it_o be_v but_o from_o hand_n to_o mouth_n whereas_o they_o look_v to_o increase_v themselves_o and_o think_v their_o trade_n bad_a and_o themselves_o ill_a husband_n if_o they_o leave_v not_o store_n to_o their_o posterity_n not_o of_o filthy_a lucre_n mind_n but_o of_o a_o ready_a mind_n it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o do_v our_o duty_n willing_o for_o so_o we_o may_v do_v for_o filthy_a lucre_n and_o gain_n but_o it_o must_v be_v of_o a_o ready_a mind_n even_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o zeal_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o the_o care_n of_o the_o people_n salvation_n and_o win_v they_o to_o god_n it_o be_v a_o base_a thing_n that_o lucre_n shall_v set_v we_o on_o work_n or_o any_o thing_n else_o but_o those_o high_a and_o holy_a end_n obj._n none_o will_v preach_v but_o for_o their_o maintenance_n obj._n they_o look_v for_o it_o sol._n suppose_v it_o to_o be_v so_o sol._n yet_o many_o preach_v and_o have_v not_o half_a the_o maintenance_n they_o to_o they_o but_o it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o be_v set_v on_o work_n for_o gain_v and_o another_o to_o expect_v a_o honest_a and_o necessary_a maintenance_n which_o be_v a_o necessary_a help_n to_o the_o do_v of_o the_o duty_n and_o without_o which_o it_o can_v be_v well_o do_v it_o come_v in_o i_o say_v by_o the_o by_o as_o a_o necessary_a help_n to_o the_o duty_n 10._o not_o as_o the_o end_n that_o set_v
god_n sheep_n husband_v god_n heritage_n careful_o that_o it_o may_v yield_v fruit_n in_o abundance_n to_o the_o owner_n the_o lord_n we_o must_v not_o use_v they_o as_o we_o list_v but_o as_o we_o will_v answer_v for_o every_o sheep_n they_o be_v dear_a to_o god_n and_o he_o will_v have_v account_n of_o every_o sheep_n in_o our_o fold_n we_o shall_v be_v thankful_a to_o god_n that_o have_v trust_v we_o with_o such_o a_o jewel_n as_o a_o part_n of_o his_o heritage_n and_o therefore_o be_v faithful_a to_o he_o and_o they_o 2._o if_o people_n be_v god_n heritage_n 2._o and_o every_o congregation_n as_o a_o particular_a farm_n they_o must_v look_v they_o yield_v fruit_n that_o god_n may_v take_v delight_n therein_o and_o may_v say_v it_o be_v the_o fruitfull_a farm_n that_o i_o have_v within_o a_o great_a way_n i_o have_v more_o obedience_n yield_v to_o my_o word_n my_o sabbath_n better_o keep_v my_o sacrament_n better_o resort_v to_o family_n better_a instruct_v and_o govern_v in_o that_o town_n then_o in_o many_o other_o more_o love_n simile_n mercy_n zeal_n etc._n etc._n as_o a_o husbandman_n that_o have_v a_o rich_a piece_n of_o ground_n and_o which_o bear_v a_o great_a crop_n he_o will_v delight_v to_o be_v much_o in_o it_o look_v on_o it_o walk_v about_o it_o look_v that_o no_o damage_n come_v to_o it_o etc._n etc._n but_o if_o it_o prove_v barren_a he_o care_v not_o for_o come_v at_o it_o so_o where_o they_o a_o fruitful_a piece_n of_o ground_n to_o the_o lord_n he_o will_v delight_v in_o it_o boast_v of_o it_o bless_v it_o fence_v it_o and_o
