he_o to_o be_v his_o lord_n he_o have_v ability_n to_o live_v and_o die_v to_o he_o in_o some_o comfortable_a measure_n to_o deny_v himself_o to_o go_v out_o of_o himself_o to_o live_v and_o to_o die_v to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n the_o spirit_n of_o god_n have_v give_v he_o this_o victory_n and_o triumph_v over_o his_o own_o heart_n last_o of_o all_o if_o this_o be_v so_o here_o see_v the_o wondrous_a secure_a state_n of_o a_o christian_a beloved_n that_o as_o christ_n be_v his_o lord_n both_o in_o life_n and_o death_n and_o it_o be_v his_o duty_n to_o subject_n himself_o so_o christ_n will_v give_v he_o grace_n so_o to_o direct_v his_o life_n therefore_o let_v we_o do_v our_o duty_n attend_v upon_o the_o mean_n and_o lift_v up_o our_o heart_n to_o god_n let_v god_n and_o christ_n much_o patience_n to_o honour_n god_n and_o christ_n so_o far_o as_o to_o attend_v in_o the_o use_n of_o good_a mean_n till_o the_o good_a hour_n come_v till_o the_o spirit_n come_v to_o subject_v their_o spirit_n to_o duty_n no_o doubt_n but_o god_n intend_v well_o to_o they_o but_o those_o that_o be_v so_o short_a spirit_v that_o if_o they_o find_v not_o ability_n to_o deny_v themselves_o and_o to_o live_v to_o god_n and_o to_o break_v off_o their_o course_n of_o sin_n but_o give_v over_o in_o a_o kind_n of_o base_a despair_n it_o be_v just_a with_o god_n to_o leave_v they_o to_o themselves_o that_o they_o shall_v even_o live_v and_o die_v to_o themselves_o that_o be_v they_o shall_v live_v without_o respect_n to_o christ_n and_o die_v without_o respect_n to_o christ_n at_o all_o as_o if_o there_o be_v no_o christ_n to_o take_v care_n for_o they_o now_o out_o of_o this_o branch_n of_o holy_a security_n upon_o the_o care_n &_o power_n and_o lordship_n that_o christ_n have_v over_o we_o for_o the_o time_n to_o come_v it_o rise_v that_o a_o christian_n may_v be_v assure_v of_o his_o salvation_n of_o his_o perseverance_n because_o christ_n be_v lord_n of_o all_o he_o be_v lord_n of_o his_o heart_n he_o be_v lord_n not_o only_o of_o the_o thing_n without_o we_o but_o of_o our_o spirit_n within_o we_o and_o he_o will_v enable_v we_o to_o subject_n ourselves_o to_o god_n love_n to_o we_o but_o from_o our_o love_n to_o god_n belove_a let_v this_o encourage_v we_o to_o come_v under_o the_o government_n of_o christ_n there_o be_v no_o security_n or_o safety_n but_o in_o his_o government_n we_o be_v sure_a of_o nothing_o in_o this_o world_n but_o we_o be_v sure_a of_o this_o that_o christ_n if_o he_o be_v our_o lord_n be_v our_o lord_n for_o ever_o and_o that_o nothing_o in_o the_o world_n shall_v ever_o be_v able_a to_o separate_v we_o from_o he_o i_o will_v close_v with_o this_o you_o see_v christ_n be_v we_o whether_o we_o live_v or_o die_v he_o be_v lord_n of_o quick_a and_o dead_a let_v we_o labour_n to_o live_v to_o he_o that_o he_o may_v rule_v over_o we_o while_o we_o live_v else_o when_o we_o come_v to_o die_v though_o we_o never_o so_o much_o perhaps_o out_o of_o principle_n of_o self_n love_n desire_v he_o to_o be_v we_o it_o be_v to_o no_o purpose_n while_o we_o live_v therefore_o let_v we_o submit_v to_o his_o government_n and_o if_o we_o live_v to_o he_o we_o shall_v easy_o die_v to_o he_o if_o we_o do_v not_o inure_v ourselves_o by_o daily_a self_n deny_v all_o and_o practise_v of_o the_o duty_n of_o obedience_n to_o live_v to_o he_o how_o shall_v we_o come_v to_o die_v to_o he_o our_o life_n may_v be_v snatch_v from_o we_o against_o our_o will_n we_o may_v die_v with_o a_o kind_n of_o fret_v and_o indignation_n that_o we_o can_v live_v no_o long_o that_o we_o can_v enjoy_v our_o pleasure_n no_o long_o but_o to_o die_v meek_o and_o quiet_o as_o to_o a_o lord_n submit_v ourselves_o to_o he_o that_o be_v the_o lord_n of_o life_n and_o death_n a_o man_n can_v never_o do_v it_o that_o have_v not_o live_v to_o the_o lord_n therefore_o i_o beseech_v you_o every_o day_n be_v acquaint_v with_o the_o action_n of_o live_v to_o the_o lord_n whatsoever_o you_o do_v to_o man_n do_v it_o as_o to_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o lord_n strength_n to_o please_v he_o and_o as_o it_o may_v stand_v with_o his_o favour_n and_o no_o abasement_n of_o christ_n to_o think_v of_o the_o end_n why_o so_o of_o his_o exaltation_n its_o good_a to_o keep_v these_o together_o to_o avoid_v scandal_n that_o may_v arise_v in_o our_o mind_n from_o either_o though_o of_o by_o itself_o that_o god_n shall_v stoop_v so_o low_a lest_o the_o thought_n of_o christ_n die_v and_o stoop_v so_o low_o shall_v offend_v we_o it_o be_v good_a also_o to_o think_v of_o the_o end_n that_o he_o may_v be_v lord_n of_o quick_a and_o dead_a and_o if_o that_o dazzle_v thou_o again_o to_o think_v of_o our_o saviour_n now_o in_o glory_n full_a of_o majesty_n in_o heaven_n and_o how_o shall_v thou_o have_v access_n to_o so_o glorious_a majesty_n oh_o come_v down_o again_o and_o think_v of_o god_n incarnate_a god_n go_v up_o and_o down_o in_o our_o flesh_n of_o god_n die_v die_v a_o curse_a death_n &_o rise_v again_o thus_o in_o your_o meditation_n inter_v weave_v these_o thought_n to_o avoid_v scandal_n think_v of_o his_o glory_n and_o that_o you_o may_v not_o be_v amaze_v at_o the_o glory_n so_o as_o to_o be_v deter_v from_o go_v bold_o to_o he_o think_v of_o bone_n of_o our_o bone_n and_o flesh_n of_o our_o flesh_n god_n die_v homogeniall_a deduction_n as_o we_o call_v it_o of_o divine_a truth_n one_o from_o another_o all_o depend_v one_o upon_o another_o and_o all_o divinity_n for_o howsoever_o divine_a truth_n be_v contrary_a to_o carnal_a reason_n sometime_o yet_o there_o be_v strong_a reason_n in_o all_o divine_a truth_n for_o one_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o another_o and_o one_o depend_v upon_o another_o as_o here_o christ_n die_v and_o rose_n and_o revive_v one_o follow_v another_o what_o from_o all_o this_o to_o be_v lord_n of_o quick_a and_o dead_a how_o then_o prove_v he_o that_o he_o be_v lord_n of_o reason_n and_o deduction_n issue_v of_o one_o thing_n from_o another_o in_o divinity_n most_o wise_o and_o holy_o and_o it_o be_v a_o part_n of_o wisdom_n to_o observe_v how_o conclusion_n rise_v from_o principle_n as_o branch_n and_o bud_n do_v from_o root_n indeed_o if_o we_o will_v enter_v into_o serious_a consideration_n of_o the_o ground_n of_o religion_n how_o they_o give_v life_n and_o rise_v unto_o their_o particular_n they_o will_v have_v a_o influence_n into_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o our_o life_n as_o perhaps_o we_o shall_v see_v in_o the_o particular_n more_o clear_o for_o from_o the_o first_o man_n live_v to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o church_n under_o one_o head_n christ_n christ_n be_v the_o saviour_n of_o those_o that_o be_v before_o the_o law_n under_o the_o law_n under_o the_o gospel_n christ_n be_v the_o saviour_n of_o all_o he_o be_v the_o saviour_n of_o the_o dead_a as_o well_o as_o of_o the_o live_n all_o come_v under_o one_o head_n which_o have_v no_o
