measure_n for_o to_o comfort_v one_o self_n untimely_a be_v to_o trust_v in_o a_o lie_n and_o be_v the_o sure_a way_n to_o cut_v off_o all_o sound_n and_o good_a comfort_n and_o to_o keep_v a_o man_n much_o as_o other_o do_v or_o have_v do_v and_o for_o the_o point_n of_o grieve_v for_o sin_n understand_v that_o not_o the_o quantity_n be_v so_o much_o to_o be_v respect_v as_o the_o quality_n if_o a_o man_n grieve_v never_o so_o much_o and_o his_o grief_n carry_v he_o not_o to_o confess_v and_o seek_v pardon_n and_o grace_n and_o help_v and_o diligent_o to_o endeavour_v amendment_n they_o be_v nothing_o worth_a and_o if_o they_o do_v bring_v forth_o these_o effect_n they_o be_v accept_v though_o they_o be_v not_o very_o great_a §_o 2._o yea_o but_o say_v the_o heart_n yet_o again_o i_o can_v ask_v pardon_n earnest_o and_o hearty_o nor_o at_o all_o pray_v unto_o god_n for_o it_o with_o any_o life_n or_o fervency_n i_o answer_v why_o will_v thou_o say_v so_o that_o which_o a_o man_n desire_v more_o than_o life_n and_o more_o than_o all_o the_o profit_n and_o pleasure_n of_o life_n that_o he_o desire_v earnest_o and_o hearty_o i_o trow_v or_o else_o who_o can_v be_v say_v to_o desire_v earnest_o now_o tell_v i_o will_v thou_o not_o rather_o choose_v to_o have_v thy_o sin_n pardon_v and_o thy_o soul_n heal_v then_o to_o have_v long_a life_n great_a riches_n store_n of_o pleasure_n and_o all_o worldly_a content_n if_o this_o be_v true_a as_o thou_o can_v not_o deny_v it_o than_o thou_o do_v earnest_o pray_v for_o these_o thing_n deny_v that_o to_o be_v find_v in_o thou_o as_o in_o temptation_n it_o be_v usual_a which_o any_o other_o man_n may_v manifest_o see_v to_o be_v in_o thou_o §_o 3._o yea_o but_o i_o want_v that_o last_o part_n of_o repentance_n and_o mercy_n when_o thou_o conclude_v from_o hence_o that_o thy_o sin_n be_v not_o pardon_v be_v not_o he_o ready_a to_o pass_v by_o such_o weakness_n in_o his_o child_n and_o servant_n as_o thou_o can_v nay_o nor_o in_o this_o life_n possible_a that_o it_o shall_v be_v perfect_a and_o it_o be_v true_a so_o long_o as_o thou_o continue_v to_o confess_v and_o lament_v and_o strive_v against_o these_o imperfection_n though_o thou_o be_v still_o cumber_v with_o they_o else_o will_v not_o saint_n paul_n have_v say_v the_o flesh_n lu_v against_o the_o spirit_n 5.17_o gal._n 5.17_o so_o that_o you_o can_v do_v the_o thing_n that_o you_o will_v away_o with_o this_o objection_n therefore_o it_o savour_v of_o pride_n thou_o will_v not_o think_v thou_o be_v pardon_v unless_o thou_o can_v bring_v to_o god_n some_o such_o measure_n of_o goodness_n as_o may_v seem_v half_a or_o almost_o to_o deserve_v it_o if_o thou_o will_v not_o believe_v thou_o be_v pardon_v till_o thou_o find_v no_o such_o fault_n thou_o shall_v never_o believe_v thou_o be_v pardon_v §_o 4._o yea_o but_o i_o feel_v not_o alone_o these_o common_a imperfection_n but_o i_o feel_v also_o some_o one_o or_o other_o corruption_n so_o strong_a and_o violent_a in_o i_o that_o it_o do_v often_o even_o again_o and_o again_o break_v forth_o and_o that_o also_o too_o too_o palpable_o and_o gross_o i_o answer_v but_o do_v not_o thou_o feel_v in_o thy_o heart_n a_o perpetual_a war_a against_o these_o corruption_n do_v thou_o not_o renew_v thy_o sorrowful_a confession_n and_o resolution_n of_o amendment_n as_o often_o as_o thou_o sin_v and_o far_o often_o too_o do_v thou_o not_o usual_o and_o ordinary_o hold_v fast_o thy_o resolution_n not_o to_o sin_n and_o be_v overcome_v alone_o sometime_o but_o common_o keep_v under_o the_o sin_n from_o palpable_a break_n forth_o do_v not_o thou_o fall_v seldomer_n and_o with_o less_o content_n and_o more_o reluctation_n and_o rise_v soon_o out_o of_o the_o sin_n yea_o be_v it_o not_o thy_o continual_a prayer_n to_o be_v keep_v against_o it_o &_o do_v not_o thou_o find_v that_o these_o endeavour_n keep_v thou_o so_o that_o thou_o offend_v not_o by_o many_o degree_n so_o much_o &_o often_o as_o before_o thou_o do_v &_o as_o else_o thou_o shall_v do_v i_o answer_v then_o that_o where_o sin_n have_v
