q._n there_o be_v one_o principal_a question_n yet_o to_o come_v and_o that_o be_v what_o be_v the_o duty_n of_o servant_n in_o regard_n of_o themselves_o a._n one_o duty_n be_v that_o of_o prayer_n for_o this_o be_v a_o mean_v appoint_v by_o god_n by_o which_o christian_n be_v to_o obtain_v such_o grace_n and_o blessing_n as_o they_o daily_o want_v it_o must_v be_v as_o necessary_a for_o servant_n as_o for_o any_o other_o rank_n and_o the_o neglect_v of_o it_o can_v be_v esteem_v no_o less_o than_o withdraw_v themselves_o from_o the_o protection_n of_o heaven_n and_o rob_v their_o own_o soul_n of_o those_o help_n which_o be_v necessary_a for_o make_v they_o faithful_a servant_n and_o good_a christian_n q._n how_o can_v they_o perform_v this_o duty_n who_o have_v so_o little_a time_n to_o themselves_o and_o be_v general_o tire_v be_v fit_a for_o sleep_n than_o prayer_n a._n let_v they_o but_o make_v the_o best_a use_n of_o what_o time_n they_o have_v and_o god_n will_v certain_o accept_v it_o as_o he_o do_v the_o widow_n mite_n when_o she_o have_v no_o more_o to_o give_v it_o can_v be_v expect_v they_o shall_v employ_v as_o much_o time_n in_o prayer_n as_o those_o who_o have_v their_o hour_n at_o command_n but_o if_o they_o make_v their_o business_n the_o excuse_n of_o their_o sloth_n and_o upon_o this_o pretext_n neglect_v their_o duty_n to_o god_n when_o if_o they_o be_v more_o careful_a and_o industrious_a they_o may_v find_v time_n for_o perform_v it_o they_o will_v have_v god_n the_o judge_n of_o their_o insincerity_n and_o sloth_n in_o his_o service_n to_o who_o it_o be_v know_v however_o they_o may_v hide_v it_o from_o all_o other_o all_o service_n be_v not_o so_o hard_a as_o to_o allow_v no_o time_n for_o prayer_n and_o if_o all_o those_o servant_n who_o make_v this_o their_o excuse_n will_v examine_v themselves_o and_o see_v how_o much_o time_n they_o find_v every_o day_n for_o unnecessary_a sleep_v curious_a gaze_v idle_a talk_v etc._n etc._n they_o may_v soon_o discover_v that_o it_o be_v not_o excess_n of_o business_n but_o want_v of_o goodwill_n be_v the_o general_a occasion_n of_o their_o not_o find_v time_n to_o pray_o and_o that_o a_o little_a more_o resolution_n with_o better_a management_n will_v help_v they_o to_o all_o the_o time_n that_o can_v be_v necessary_a for_o this_o duty_n leave_v therefore_o these_o god_n for_o the_o follow_a day_n and_o to_o be_v preserve_v from_o all_o sin_n second_o that_o if_o by_o any_o accident_n they_o be_v hinder_v in_o this_o they_o be_v careful_a to_o supply_v it_o by_o raise_v up_o their_o heart_n to_o god_n even_o when_o they_o be_v at_o work_n and_o earnest_o beg_v the_o same_o protection_n of_o he_o three_o that_o often_o in_o the_o day_n they_o will_v turn_v their_o thought_n towards_o god_n and_o speak_v to_o he_o from_o their_o heart_n with_o this_o assurance_n that_o if_o they_o can_v say_v no_o more_o than_o such_o short_a sentence_n as_o these_o which_o the_o gospel_n demand_v of_o they_o a_o second_o duty_n be_v that_o of_o have_v patience_n with_o one_o another_o and_o mutual_o bear_v with_o one_o another_o infirmity_n for_o though_o there_o will_v not_o be_v much_o need_n of_o this_o if_o the_o former_a rule_n be_v strict_o observe_v yet_o since_o it_o can_v be_v expect_v but_o that_o some_o may_v be_v want_v in_o the_o duty_n there_o prescribe_v and_o instead_o of_o do_v all_o with_o that_o moderation_n and_o meekness_n as_o be_v require_v may_v give_v provocation_n and_o great_a uneasiness_n to_o their_o companion_n hence_o there_o be_v a_o necessity_n that_o all_o servant_n shall_v learn_v to_o have_v patience_n and_o bear_v with_o one_o another_o the_o general_a reason_n for_o this_o be_v because_o without_o observe_v this_o rule_n there_o can_v be_v no_o possibility_n of_o preserve_v that_o peace_n and_o charity_n which_o be_v necessary_a in_o a_o christian_a family_n and_o this_o peace_n be_v so_o valuable_a both_o as_o to_o the_o public_a and_o in_o respect_n of_o every_o particular_a person_n that_o it_o be_v very_o well_o worth_a all_o that_o patience_n that_o can_v be_v necessary_a for_o maintain_v it_o and_o those_o who_o will_v not_o be_v at_o the_o trouble_n of_o it_o shall_v certain_o be_v at_o more_o trouble_n for_o want_n of_o it_o such_o therefore_o as_o will_v not_o take_v any_o cross_n peevish_a or_o snappish_a word_n from_o their_o fellow-servant_n without_o return_v it_o again_o in_o the_o same_o language_n of_o ill_a humour_n or_o passion_n have_v neither_o the_o wisdom_n of_o this_o world_n or_o the_o next_o because_o they_o will_v be_v general_o engage_v in_o quarrel_n and_o seldom_o be_v so_o peaceable_a within_o themselves_o as_o to_o be_v in_o a_o disposition_n of_o serve_v god_n wherever_o there_o be_v but_o a_o moderate_a degree_n of_o prudence_n it_o will_v teach_v servant_n for_o their_o own_o quiet_a to_o bear_v with_o other_o it_o will_v oblige_v they_o to_o reflect_v that_o as_o they_o themselves_o be_v sometime_o out_o of_o humour_n so_o may_v other_o be_v so_o too_o that_o as_o they_o desire_v other_o shall_v bear_v with_o they_o so_o they_o ought_v to_o take_v their_o turn_n and_o bear_v with_o other_o that_o great_a allowance_n be_v to_o be_v give_v to_o every_o body_n as_o to_o their_o particular_a humour_n or_o way_n that_o they_o be_v not_o to_o expect_v every_o one_o to_o follow_v the_o rule_n they_o prescribe_v to_o themselves_o and_o judge_v best_a that_o the_o peevishness_n of_o other_o may_v be_v the_o effect_n of_o some_o indisposition_n of_o body_n or_o mind_n which_o they_o will_v willing_o remedy_n but_o know_v not_o how_o that_o it_o may_v be_v a_o great_a trouble_n to_o themselves_o than_o common_a prudence_n will_v direct_v they_o and_o if_o they_o have_v any_o principle_n of_o charity_n or_o the_o gospel_n it_o will_v teach_v they_o not_o only_o this_o patience_n but_o likewise_o to_o bear_v with_o the_o provocation_n of_o ill-will_a and_o malice_n to_o return_v good_a for_o evil_a to_o pray_v for_o and_o love_v their_o enemy_n and_o therefore_o it_o must_v be_v conclude_v that_o those_o servant_n who_o will_v not_o patient_o bear_v with_o the_o ill_a humour_n or_o provocation_n give_v they_o by_o their_o companion_n but_o make_v return_n of_o they_o and_o improve_v every_o little_a occasion_n into_o a_o contention_n or_o quarrel_n have_v neither_o the_o reason_n which_o belong_v to_o they_o as_o man_n nor_o the_o virtue_n which_o belong_v to_o they_o as_o christian_n to_o give_v no_o provocation_n then_o be_v one_o part_n of_o their_o duty_n and_o to_o take_v no_o notice_n of_o such_o as_o be_v give_v be_v the_o other_o one_o part_n without_o the_o other_o make_v it_o will_v not_o be_v more_o prejudicial_a to_o they_o or_o more_o criminal_a in_o itself_o than_o what_o they_o do_v by_o this_o treacherous_a artifice_n again_o servant_n be_v to_o be_v careful_a
