prayer_n which_o they_o may_v use_v in_o the_o family_n for_o which_o purpose_n again_o some_o of_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o church_n will_v be_v very_o fit_a as_o be_v most_o easy_a for_o their_o memory_n by_o reason_n of_o their_o shortness_n and_o yet_o contain_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o matter_n but_o what_o choice_n soever_o they_o make_v of_o prayer_n let_v they_o be_v sure_a to_o have_v some_o and_o let_v no_o man_n that_o profess_v himself_o a_o christian_n keep_v so_o heathenish_a a_o family_n as_o not_o to_o see_v god_n be_v daily_o worship_v in_o it_o but_o when_o the_o master_n differ_v not_o much_o in_o effect_n from_o this_o the_o master_n may_v lose_v as_o much_o by_o the_o one_o as_o by_o the_o other_o and_o then_o what_o odds_o be_v it_o to_o he_o whether_o he_o be_v rob_v by_o the_o covetousness_n or_o negligence_n of_o his_o servant_n and_o it_o be_v still_o the_o same_o breach_n of_o trust_n with_o the_o former_a for_o every_o master_n be_v suppose_v to_o intrust_v his_o affair_n as_o well_o to_o the_o care_n as_o the_o honesty_n of_o his_o servant_n for_o it_o will_v be_v little_a advantage_n to_o the_o master_n to_o be_v secure_v that_o his_o servant_n will_v not_o himself_o cheat_v he_o whilst_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n he_o will_v by_o his_o carelessness_n give_v opportunity_n to_o other_o to_o do_v it_o therefore_o he_o that_o do_v not_o careful_o look_v to_o his_o master_n profâ—t_n deceive_v his_o trust_n as_o well_o as_o he_o that_o just_o provide_v for_o his_o own_o a_o three_o duty_n of_o a_o servant_n be_v patience_n and_o second_o duty_n of_o the_o husband_n be_v faithfulness_n to_o the_o bed_n faithfulness_n this_o be_v by_o god_n as_o well_o require_v of_o the_o husband_n as_o the_o wife_n and_o though_o the_o world_n do_v seem_v to_o look_v on_o the_o breach_n of_o this_o duty_n with_o less_o abhorrence_n in_o the_o husband_n yet_o sure_a before_o that_o just_a judge_n the_o offence_n will_v appear_v no_o less_o on_o the_o man_n side_n than_o the_o woman_n this_o be_v certain_a it_o be_v in_o both_o a_o breach_n of_o the_o vow_n make_v to_o each_o other_o at_o their_o marriage_n and_o so_o beside_o the_o uncleanness_n a_o downright_a perjury_n and_o those_o difference_n in_o the_o case_n which_o seem_v to_o cast_v the_o scale_n be_v rather_o in_o respect_n of_o civil_a and_o worldly_a consideration_n then_o mere_o of_o the_o sin_n 14._o a_o three_o duty_n of_o the_o husband_n be_v to_o maintain_v maintenance_n and_o provide_v for_o the_o wife_n he_o be_v to_o let_v she_o partake_v with_o he_o in_o those_o outward_a good_a thing_n wherewith_o god_n have_v blessed_v he_o and_o neither_o by_o niggardliness_n debar_v she_o of_o what_o be_v fit_a for_o she_o nor_o yet_o by_o unthriftiness_n so_o waste_v his_o good_n that_o he_o shall_v become_v unable_a to_o support_v she_o this_o be_v certain_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o husband_n who_o be_v as_o have_v be_v say_v to_o account_v his_o wife_n as_o a_o part_n of_o his_o own_o body_n must_v have_v the_o very_a same_o care_n to_o sustain_v she_o that_o he_o have_v for_o himself_o yet_o this_o be_v not_o so_o to_o be_v understand_v as_o to_o excuse_v the_o wife_n from_o her_o part_n of_o labour_n and_o industry_n when_o that_o be_v requisite_a it_o be_v unreasonable_a the_o husband_n shall_v toil_v to_o maintain_v the_o wife_n in_o idleness_n 15._o four_o instruction_n the_o husband_n be_v to_o instruct_v the_o wife_n in_o the_o thing_n which_o concern_v her_o eternal_a welfare_n if_o she_o be_v ignorant_a of_o they_o thus_o st._n paul_n bid_v the_o wife_n learn_v of_o their_o husband_n at_o home_n 1_o cor._n 14._o 36_o which_o suppose_v that_o the_o husband_n be_v to_o teach_v she_o indeed_o it_o belong_v to_o every_o master_n of_o a_o family_n to_o endeavour_v that_o all_o under_o his_o charge_n be_v teach_v all_o necessary_a thing_n of_o this_o kind_n and_o then_o sure_o more_o especial_o his_o wife_n who_o be_v so_o much_o near_o to_o he_o than_o all_o the_o rest_n this_o shall_v make_v man_n careful_a to_o get_v knowledge_n themselves_o that_o so_o they_o may_v be_v able_a to_o perform_v this_o duty_n they_o owe_v to_o other_o 16._o last_o husband_n and_o wife_n good_a be_v mutual_o to_o pray_v for_o each_o other_o to_o beg_v all_o blessing_n from_o god_n both_o temporal_a and_o spiritual_a &_o to_o endeavour_v all_o they_o can_v to_o do_v all_o good_a to_o one_o another_o especial_o all_o good_a to_o each_o other_o soul_n by_o stir_v up_o to_o the_o performance_n of_o duty_n and_o dissuade_v and_o draw_v back_o from_o all_o sin_n and_o by_o be_v like_o true_a yoke-fellowe_n helpful_a and_o assistant_n to_o each_o other_o in_o the_o do_n of_o all_o sort_n of_o good_a both_o to_o their_o own_o family_n and_o all_o other_o within_o their_o reach_n this_o be_v of_o all_o other_o the_o true_a and_o most_o valuable_a love_n nay_o indeed_o how_o can_v it_o be_v say_v they_o do_v love_n at_o all_o who_o can_v content_o let_v each_o other_o run_v on_o in_o a_o course_n that_o will_v bring_v they_o to_o eternal_a misery_n and_o if_o the_o love_n of_o husband_n and_o wife_n be_v thus_o ground_v in_o virtue_n and_o religion_n it_o will_v make_v their_o life_n a_o kind_n of_o heaven_n on_o earth_n it_o will_v prevent_v all_o those_o contention_n and_o brawling_n so_o common_a among_o they_o which_o be_v the_o great_a plague_n
